dunno what i am doing wrong but following this rotation with 620 ilvl i have a nice start with about 1.3 mill dps, dropping back to 650/700k dps and at after the 3 mins on ascendance i do 750/800 dps all over.. what am i doing worng. i hear you besides lining up and hitting the proces things dont really matter.. but then why is my dps so low? :)

what is dat shaman weakaura for skills ?

Pwave could just get changed to a cone ability that applies flame shock to x amount of targets maybe? And keep whatever damage hit it’s getting in 11.1

Why do we spread flame shocks manually before Ascendance when it automatically flame shocks everything?

I don't think they are done with changes to Ele. I agree we need better ways of spreading flameshock Liquid Magma Totem spread 6 would be great.

Honestly the simplest solution is making LMT soread 5 or 6 flame shocks instead of 3. We need to put this in forums so thry can make that adjustment. Also AG bring removed is legit a crime.

Agree with everything you’ve said in this video. The Prim Wave change is absolutely awful. It didnt reduce the complexity in priming the cleave at all, we still have to spread flame shock the same way. They should bake liquid magma totem into Primordial Wave and remove LMT, replace it with a talent that makes Prim wave cleave (capped at 4 or 5) and spread flame shocks to those targets. That would actually reduce the complexity and reduce button bloat since LMT only exists for this. This talent could also make Prim Wave overload, making it fun to press+do a little extra damage and maelstrom gen, and would look very cool.

Ideally should you always buff every Tempest, Elemental Blast, and Earthquake with Master of the Elements? It seems like in some situations you're okay with skipping the MOTE

So, if this 2p hits ptr or wahtever, and i cast ascendance spawning this fire ele, can i cast my storm ele aswell or does the fire ele despawn? cuz we cant have 2 main eles at once

The reasoning for the AG removal seems very dodgy. They nerfed the spell in DF Season 1 along with other passive healing spells like VampEmbrace. Now, I fully agree that AG is currently too strong. But there is currently a level of skill expression to identifying windows where it's used well. So just straight up removing it seems a heavy handed, bordering on lazy, solution to a problem that could have been tackled with some sensible tuning.

Well, at least you got "some" compensation 😀 Resto lost both AG and Prim. wave without any compensation... These changes are a bit baffling.

So about the fire elemental thing what I believe it's trying to convey is the jackpot ability will spawn a fire elemental, and if you hit a jackpot again while it's summoned, it instead extends it rather than spawning a new one.

Prio wave was complcated to manage? Honestly, if this were to go live, I'd probably switch main for the first time since legion. It just kind of sounds bad.

If PWave hits like a truck and we get another way to spread FS (buffed LMt) the i think that change is okay. 2/4 set seems weird… Having both Eles on a choice node and the tier set only buffing one would be a first for any class i think? Standalone talents have been used for tier sets before but not choice nodes. Seems weird. For now I’m assuming its placeholder text and its whichever Ele you have talented.

12:30 You can probably hit 2 jackpots in 8 seconds and it stacks the duration. The changes are pretty depressing and the set bonuses are pretty underwhelming. I hope they make some changes before this is live.

Ancestral guidance was pretty strong ofc but I didn't really like it that much, as long as HST is strong enough we're good I guess. But some of these changes are looking wild. Does anyone know what item level the new gear will be in season 2? Like base champion, hero, etc

With the Pwave change, I wouldn't mind seeing the talent become a choice node. This iteration is just awful. And instead of taking Pwave, ele could have maybe another charge of LMT, or another way to spread Flame Shock, or something to boost AoE damage. And then for raiding/ single target, swap the talent to pwave for better single target. These patch notes feel like Ele is getting nerfed, without reducing our damage :(

What I realize is that the blizzard doesn't know what she wants with the changes she herself makes, Shaman received a complete change that didn't make 2 months and was totally quartered again

They have to make Liquid Magma Totem spread 5-6 Flameshocks. And removing Ancestral Guidance and buffing Healing Stream Totem.. wtf?? This patch notes for ele looks like a troll post. xD

Can someone explain elemental equilibrium and when to use it? I see builds take it but don’t mention anything about actually using it or it’s priority

Wouldn't having 1 Vers/Mastery gem increase your DPS as it ties into the Prismatic gem's effect? I've never simmed it where it didn't.

Great video, I like how you actually explain the rotations for each build, I've seen a couple of guides now and people just say a bunch of words and expect everyone to know what they're talking about. It got a little confusing with the way you said some things during the rotation breakdown so maybe some kind of visual on top of the video, that displays the actual spell order would be helpful for the next one you do? Like at one point you said press primordial wave before ascendance and then said, activate primordial wave after ascendance and my smooth brain went into overload trying to figure out what you meant but quickly realised you meant lava burst after ascendance XD Regardless, it was super helpful how you broke all of that down, I was able to understand why we are supposed to do certain things now.

Just 2 quick questions: 1 - isn’t better to alternate lava burst with lighting bolt to max benefit from masters of the elements buff? 2 - is there any difference proccing ice fury with flame shock rather than a nature + fire spell (like lightning bolt + lava burst)? Surge of Power feels very odd to play. It synergizes less with Deeply Rooted Elements, it synergizes less with our tier set and playing it is very clunky with having to use Lightning Bolt in AoE if its only 5 targets or avoiding Lightning Bolt like hell because you have Tempest up and you’re trying to build up Maelstrom to proc Surge of Power. And heck, Aftershock even helps go into DRE procs with Maelstrom.
