I just wanna know why zack has a collab weapon but no wind costume yet

I do really like the upgrades the gear received, especially as someone who already pulled 😂. Of course a lot of people want to Hold for anniversary, but if someone absolutely loves ff9 it’s nice that you’re getting some additional upgrades and it’s not just a carbon copy of what came out 6 months ago. Still, I think we’ll only see these kinds of upgrades come for the limited crossover banners that return as a reason for people to still pull for them in the future vs something like Murasame and Murasame garb which I doubt will get an upgrade I would say having both ob10 zidane and ob10 guide gloves that zidane sword feels like a better weapon 46 points of boost patk means he can cap boost patk with zidane sword plus his MH outfit, that’s something tifa can’t Do. The boost phys ability potency isn’t as high but is high enough since with an off hand glavenous my cloud is also able to max boost phys ability potency between those 2 weapons, leaving all his other sub weapon slots for boost attack, boost ability potency, or boost hp. Since guide gloves has a much lower patk and amarant also has hp/ phys ability potency, she ends up way over cap on boost phys ability potency but still needs one more sub weapon slot to max out her patk. Still they both have pretty great uses if you want either one to be your strong physical damage dealer, but I think they do both rely on also having their other weapon I talked about to take the most advantage of them.

Great stamp luck there 9, I can recall getting 2 5 stamp black choco’s in a row on the Sephiroth Water banner, but a 6 is awesome!

Yo Nite! So the FF9 event+banner is a banner than I’m generally mixed on. This banner when it came out was probably the catalyst on why limited banners have more guaranteed weapon drops. I know I personally threw somewhere around 70-80k for an OB1 Zidane Blade and an OB1/2 (I can’t remember) Amarant… Zidane Blade was my goal too. The event itself could of been better as there was no real sorry or anything but what made FF9 great was the Black Waltz fight, definitely agree that it was an amazing fight during the time. Anywho, I like that you can guarantee a Zidane or Amarant by stamp 3. I also kind of like that if you already went ham on 1 of the weapons you can take it off the wishlist to reduce the odds of it showing up! For example if you have an OB10 Amarant but are like 1 or 2 dupes away from OB6-B10 you could pull up to stamp 6 and not worry about more Amarant Claws being “wasted” pulls. I do hope they continue this trend with all rerun banners to be honest… Also a big fan of updating old items to stand with the “current standard” of costumes. While the costumes are nothing crazy the upgrade is a welcome change for us Veteren players! Hope to see more costume updates in the future! Last thing. While I’m not heartbroken about it, it is kinda weird that Zack didn’t get a Wind outfit. Def would have made the banner more worth it for older players.

A good pairing for the debuff on amarant's claws is Zack with twinkling star. Especially in cases where the enemy is self buffing and you need to strip it. He can apply p.def down, Tifa can apply p.atk up, and between the 2 you've either gotten the enemy to m.atk down high or you've stripped 4 stacks.

I'm thinking about getting Garnet's outfit for Aerith since I really liked it. I got Zidane's for Cloud when the event came out first, it came with 5 stamps at the end,And I managed to get the costume with little crystal unfortunately and I really want the Advent Children event but I think this event will only come at the end of the story mode. 😢

Oh and on the topic of guide gloves lets see if we get a rebirth PC release date soon. Fully expect that Rebirth Crossover will return then.

Didn't expect the buffs but knew they would drop this before anniversary. For my amarants OB6 (was4) and Beatrix to five without even asking for it after page 1. Will see what comes next before pulling more but did very well out of 21k. Was so close to 200k blues😅

I'm wondering if I should pull just to get a single copy of Zack's limited weapon. I can sit out Tifa's costume - hers is the only one I don't have. But I'm all about collecting the weapons especially if they're limited. I'm hoping one pull would be enough but .. I don't know. Since this banner doesn't go away until September, I have enough time to think about it. So excited for anniversary!!

I'm really tempted to pull a card. I'm still missing Cloud's gear and the guarantees + a few stray parts would give me enough to OB6 Zidane's, which would still make it one of the better offhand weapons for Cloud on my account. However, I wanted to have 80k going into Anniversary, but right now I'm at 65k and pulling would probably take me down to half my goal. Hate that they do this now instead of part of Anniversary or in a normal crossover slot. Hopefully the lack of Zack and Cait outfits means we're getting a proper rerun early next year.

I think Tifa's buff is honestly problematic. If you need MATK down, then it's either likely that you want it to be -3 or you're using the ability multiple times to clear off a MATK buff. Additionally, the MATK down is a 30 second duration while the ATK buff is 40 seconds. So you're going to end up using this attack multiple times for the MATK debuff while getting only +8 seconds on the ATK buff each time, leading to situations where she's using this skill more often than truly needed, impacting the damage she's doing with her main damage skill by virtue of using it even less.

There he is! Trying to do the GI cave and I realize you sat that one out. On this banner… likely skipping again. As much as I want that Zidane Sword finally, the anniversary is so close and I cannot wait for it. However…doing the math, I currently have 73k crystals, which covers two pages. I could dedicate every 3000 above 72k to a pull from this. So maybe I’ll do that, but I know the anniversary is going to be crazy.

If anyone missed Zidane's Sword from being a steam player, I think the #1 point of consideration should be (Did you pull Cloud's Monster hunter sword?) (I dont have it so I wont pull) They can be combined to great effect, but now non limited weapons have cought up IE Vincent's Magic elementless also does 1300 damage. (To be frank, Zack's sword also only does as much as Tifa's wishlistable Fire weapon, and her weapon isnt limited and came with a costume, id skip it for this reason) PS Cloud and Tifa's weapons arent rate up, you have to wishlist them for some reason. (but at least they are there to wishilst)

Unfortunately I hate this banner. I would call myself a Zack main, but I will not pull on this for sure. You only have Zack guaranteed (limited!) weapon on 3 slots (fist page: 6th, second page: 6th and 8th) - so guaranteed OB2 with no outfit. Also on this banner you need to wishlist Zidane and Amarant's Claws to have 1% chance on them. Only good thing is that there are many guaranteed slots for both old weapons, so It is good for people who need just few more copies of either of them. Unfortunately I have Zidane and Amarant's Claws on OB0 so it is easy skip for me. I have no idea why they did a banner like this.

Hi all, Tomrom here, so just want to add in an additional note: outfits moving from 10 points to 15 per R Ability gives players an additional advantage on builds. Both HP and Boost X.Ability Pot go to Lv 3 immediately at 15 points allowing you to better plan your builds accordingly Hope you all enjoyed the info cards, and if there's anything I can do for them to improve them, please let me know

I'm late replying to this even tho I watched it day 1 lol... Still, I just wanted to give you props for discussing "Pull culture" and how it's sort of taken a front seat of discussion with regards to guilds and people needing to "pull for the guild" While I'd like to believe these people who are pressuring to pull for the guild are the minority, it should still be frowned upon and discussed. This is a game where we want to have fun and escape reality for a bit! As the time of writing this post, it looks like Sephiroth's Kuja Blade is making it's return which means his Earth Costume + Sword is looking THAT much more tempting... I know some people are a little disappointed he's being pushed to a sub DPS role as of late but I personally don't think it's bad as his damage and utility far surpasses something like a dedicated support who just debuffs and throws out materia attacks in between. But yeah again, with Kuja Blade coming back this this banner def got a big upgrade (in my book) it's just unfortunate it's close to Anniversary or I would seriously consider pulling for my earth setup (along with some kuja blade copies) Anyway, looking forward to your follow up video regarding guild battles and such as well!

Sephiroth's earth kit is dope if you're fairly new and missed out on Yuffie/Lucia. Since it comes with earth resist down built in, it frees up a slot in Vincent's kit, plus Seph can slot in Aonibi to up his damage output. But if you have Lucia maxed out and went in on Vincent's banner like I did, it's probably safe to skip. Like you said, you can wishlist the weapon later. And we probably won't see earth bosses for awhile. And for anyone complaining about the number of banners, more is always better. I want more options. More flexibility. Better weapons added to the pool. Better chances of my tickets being useful. People just need to learn that they don't have to pull on every banner. The game is super ftp friendly if you started from day one if you're only spending gems on what you really need.

What you said in the beginning was so important. Thankfully, I already made my decision to pull on the Vincent banner anyway. .. Also - I LOVE those visual cards that you put up, that Tomrom makes. They are SO helpful and make it easier to follow and understand.

I like your approach here. And I agree that it’s all a matter of priorities and plan, which is different for each of us. Guilds, I personally believe the issue is, we can’t join multiple groups. The fact that we join one and that’s it is what makes it a dilemma. On one hand I want to regularly play with my friends and be in the same guild for that reason. On the other, I am a competitive player that wants to perform the best, so when ranking events come, I want to play alongside 29 other whales in coordination. This is a dilemma for many players. We are forced to choose one or the other. So, when we want to go hardcore, yes hardcore means get the best performing tool and not “what you like”. Units and gear become game pieces and numbers are all that matters. The real issue is this: you can’t have your cake and it too. Many players want to see big numbers and guild success, but also want to have fun by cosplaying or play casually on auto. Both approaches are fine, but they are fundamentally opposite, so one cannot expect to do both. Well, this is where you see the most problems like the one you describe: people don’t have a clear guild identity, so everyone expects something different. People expect good numbers so they want to join high performing guilds, then complain they cannot do the upkeep. Whereas if this is communicated from a ye get go, one can more easily choose where to join according to their ability to contribute. Like you said: it is a team effort, so to be a good team player, one needs a like minded team. ;)

I wish the crash was as f2p as before where one or 2 person can carry . They've become way too difficult if we have someone join with , lets say, a buster sword in mainhand . There is always a shortage of support healer tho , f2p should just fulfill that role if they dont have damage

I think it's good to remember that the big earth event is over. The next time they do an earth based event there will likely be a power crept earth weapon getting released alongside it

I doubt i’ll change your mind but Vincent’s white dog and costume are pretty cool. Performed very well for me in the guild battle, and he has been shredding the crash battle too. And the guts ability on the costume is pretty cool, it allows me to really build him like a glass canon and not have to worry too much about him dying

I'll be skipping this banner as well to keep saving. I actually don't mind these mid damage imperil weapons as they're basically going to use that repeatedly and still do some damage while keeping imperil up for your bigger hitter. I prefer that than having to bring a pure support that doesn't contribute DPS at all lol. That being said, I also won't pull specifically for that when it can be WL later on if needed. Instead, I decided to head back into the LB re-run at the last minute and it worked out great! Needed 13 stamps to reach the two guarantees on page 2. Got there in 7 pulls to get Glenn to OB9 (50 parts shy of 10). Along the way I got 5 copies of Cloud's (OB8) lol and enough parts to OB6 Zack's. Plus 2 or 3 WL as well. Now I'm all in on saving for anniversary. Hoping to hit around 100-110k or so before it starts.

I’ve gone full F2P, not because of game content, just a financial choice. So when banners drop I ask two simple questions… Do I need it? What’s coming next? I have a rule that I do not pull for anything within 60 days of a known event until I’ve reached a crystal goal (60k in this case, which I have now); such as anniversaries, Black Friday, or major holidays. And if you look at the remainder of the year… the anniversary is coming, then Black Friday, we will likely have a cross over event again, and Christmas. As a launch player, I don’t NEED anything, especially since I pulled for the first four limit weapons, the guide gloves, and clouds Glavenus sword. So I don’t really feel pressured. I think players need to avoid that feeling of “I have to have it all”, because something will come next.

I will agree with u for banners when I will see every charachters treated in the equal way, they are coming out with 1 banner per week and always the same charachters man come on, cait sith got 0 since the release red got 1 in a year barret got 2 Matt got 2 in a year what are we talking about? If the quantity meant to give the opportunity to ppl to have their fav charachters available I would agree with you but they are just milking as much as they can with these bs banner and lb banner before anniversary etc. for the banner analysis I agree with you I don’t know who can pull for sephiroth with Vincent still on which is a lot stronger. Seph is my fav character of all time but I’m upset how he is treated… he keeps getting sub dps or not the best dps banner since the release, double wind phys mastery was a bs, the water and now this sub dps earth dmg.. come on sephiroth need more thn this shit. Unless they are planning to come with adult one and they changed path for this version. I will never pull for a mediocre dps Sephiorth. Nice analysis anyway have a nice day❤

Still holding can't let myself be distracted determined to get into the anniversary with at least 200k. Next guild battle should be less stressful for day 1 players. We've had loads of oppertunities for wind gear where it feels like Earth was non exsistent until recently.

I realised early in the game almost every costume and weapon is good, very few banners are actually bad. So it's definitely a case of not rolling for everything but either rolling for the bits you like or saving and being very careful for when you need it. I've had to miss quite a few bits I'd really like but if I feel that every time it shows that the next banners will have 90% chance of being something I want anyway.

While the weapon may do less damage, it also keeps you from having to waste an attack on imperil. Being a two for one deal has surely gotta make it up somewhere in a fight. It’s even better if the breach happens first, but I’m going to guess it does not.

Your top three DPS are the same as mine and I also don’t have an earth arcanum yet. If that 700 was 800 or more I’m definitely pulling, but that number is just disappointing to see on a DPS weapon. Especially after Tifa’s fire arcanum recently. Why Applibot!!! 😅🤦🏾‍♂️

With weapons like Sephiroth's I don't look at it like it's a damage weapon. I look at it like it's a breach weapon that has hit a new power creep level. Same way that Tempest powercrept Black Whisker and Pressure Ridge powercrept Bald Eagle. As a result, the real issue for me is that Sephiroth's outfit doesn't have duration extenstion liked Tempest and Pressure Ridge's outfits do.

I am on the same boat as you but I had more bc saved. I am now at 50k. I pulled because I have no earth and he is my main. While Vincent is deffo more powerful to me is “safer” this route because you would get the weapon in free draws or future pulls. For me it’s more about beating content. Cloud murasame got me thru Levi ex2 and sephi could get an earth physical weapon in the future. Vincent will only make a difference when you are ranking in individual or guild competitions.

I hate the idea of Vincent being my MATK Earth DPS and debuffer at the same time, so I will probably pull one page for Sephiroth UNLESS the next banner with Zack is something better - Zack is my main DPS and I have crystals only for 1 page, so I will wait for that. Maybe it is a mistake so close to the anniversary, but half-anniversary was like 7 weeks long - tons of free crystals in that time. I pulled LB weapons on the last day, when both LB banners were ending, and it was my best decision in FF:EC. So I hope that until the end of anniversary I will have enough to pull for what I want. Lucia's costume was gorgeous, so I picked it up. Got really lucky with draws too, only needed 4 pulls. This still put me down quite a bit on Crystals, especially for the one year anniversary, but that's a-okay with me. I go with my heart. Plus her being my hard carry for the Guild Battle with her Arcanum and OB10 level 120 Holiday Revolver gave me a lot of respect.

I had to make sure I was here for this, thanks for putting this video out! *editing in here: I do think its rough and unfair on the sephiroth banner to compare sephiroths new banner weapon, which is breach focused weapon, to the Vincent Earth weapon, Which is DPS focused, of course DPS weapon is going to be higher for Vincent, every recent elemental focused weapon does significantly more dps than their breach counterparts. Comparing it to the other Earth Breach weapon, Chiron, we see Blue Bramble does 190% more damage, and its magical, physical weapons are often the ones more powerful, showcasing just how strong this weapon actually is.

My stamp luck was really bad. I kept getting one stamp and I wanted to cry. I hope we can pull this in other limited banners in the future 😢

Do you mind if I ask what pack(s) you bought for the redone Limit Break banner? It seems like you suddenly had a lot more crystals - not only red, but blue too.

Ok, so some new comments/suggestions on the game and I’m putting it here because I didn’t comment on this video yet haha… 1. I would really love to see a “team bonus” system introduced for certain team compositions. For instance, Barret + Vincent + Lucia gets a nickname like “armed and dangerous” and get some kind of stat bonus. 2. Co-op needs an improvement to its completion. Sometimes it takes me 30 minutes to group up in fights outside of the events. 3. I know this one is probably coming much later but… synergy attacks. Not sure how, but it would be cool.

If we didn't have so many good banners at the moment, and if anniversary wasn't so close, I would love to pull one page for Vincent to build him as my main Non-Elemental Magic DPS, but can't afford it right now. Also I would love same style costume (as Vincent), but for Tifa. Probably I would pull regardless of the statistics. 🤩
