Scott is an Ordinary Guy working on cars. We are a family of gear heads who love muscle cars, hot rods, eatin' sandwiches with greasy hands, bustin' knuckles, and learning lessons along the way. We have old cars, and drag cars and all sorts of projects.

Why do white people own everything seriously
Great job! Thank you that really help me work on my break.👍
I'm at this stage in my build and appreciate this post.👍🏼😎🏁🏁🏁
Any interest in selling a set of templates for me to make a set. If my budget allows I wouldn’t mind paying for a set of the rear mounts/ u bolt plates
The video you took is fantastic! Do you accept sponsor products?
I think you should add a bar in-between your handes tie them together ,its much easier than having one on each side, other than that it looks awesome thanks for shearing
That cam is too tall for the street, only racing, it has a narrow band 4200-7200, so a big stall is necessary, 2 bolt main is a little sketchy for the crank but I always say build your own
How do I do this without a brake lol
I learned something today thank you
I think the .010 means ten percent more nickel, and the .020 means twenty percent more tin, also if you find a 4 bolt main block, get one that came originally out of a big truck, look for number 2482 on the center 3 mains, they are nodular main caps, and will be a brownish color, Im this gals auto machist hubby . Hope this helps.
Glad to see your video again
Love your videos, keep them coming, would like to see your car making some passes......
Oregon in the house...
Having turndowns out of the muffler pointed slightly toward each other rather than staight down toward the ground or turned out toward the tire also makes the vehicle a bit queiter due to something with noise frequencies bouncing off each other or something to that effect. Someone smarter than me can explain it. That is one of the reasons we do this. Still can spray oil on your tires, its just the opposite side. I know this from experience 🙂.
Nice video bro, I can't remember if you said that you had your engine Dyno tested but I took have a small block Chevy 383 stroker, but a much smaller cam street friendly. I hope you reach your goal on the thumbs up, just don't forget about us small pions. Best wishes
Appreciate this bossman! Found a leak today and this helped a lot! 69 camino never gets old!
Home Built not Bought Ordinary Guy Garage you remind me of my dad we built a Fully Homemade Hotrod with a SBC 400
Where is the new video. Long time no see. Wish you good times in life . Stay happy and healthy my friend 😊
Looking at doing a similar set up with a sbc with vortec heads. Did you change anything with the heads to run this cam?

I’m like you, a guy building in the driveway. About to put together my second SBC (a 400) and plan on using Summit for much of it. Great job on the build!

Are the coild springs different from the 2.8l to the 4.3l and could i put the springs from a 4.3 in a 2.8?
What size domes do you have on your pistons, love your channel.
The S-10 earned you a like. The Kitty earned you a subscribe! 😻
I just hosed all my valves because I didn't perform this check when I totally should have (went from dished to flat top pistons). But none of these how-to videos discuss what the builder can do if there is interference. Is the only recourse I have is to use a thicker gasket?
Great video boss.
You talk to much get to the point
not into passing bills through congress not a billed'er
bill is code for tax attacks
If you fill your coolant system up to the thermostat, before installing, you avoid needing this mod, and a much smaller hole would easily suffice.
These comments are wild laughing out loud. People truly have zero clue.
Have you have any trouble getting enough rear brake with the stock drums in the s10 where you could get up on the converter and not just spin the tires?
When are you going to send new videos about the race car?
This is how we do it .
Very late to the party, but cast or forged on the crank?
There needs to be a filler panel video for sure.
I have been around racing 1965 till know. Have a1969 chevelle 355 SD in it. No 600 hp. But 425 hp. 390 gr. 350t Trans. Bilt by hills Trans in Clio mi. Home bilt with a lot of help ft a buddy . Ran. 12s at a track in mi. Must say I was shocked when I saw the slip. I in joyed vid on your 377.. Chevy engine I 2 drove truck 4 40 yrs in mi. Like 2 see u race . Be safe. 10 4 😊
Hose clamp is a great idea!! Try the soft v block jaws for your vice and some AN wrenches. And don’t beat it on that bench. The nut is left handed so it threads over the OD of the hose.
Awesome Scott Thanks - what is the compression buddy?
Nice tip with the hole in the thermostat
Are those factory spindles? How do you get the ride height down without losing upward travel?
So how does the filler panel install?
I can't figure min out.
Right on brotha, good stuff!
Thank you
Thanks.. I was hoping you were going to be talking about the vacuum system
Is this without a blower? What would it do with a blower?
You didn't show the spring install, just a lot of talking. Lol😂
I see this is from 3 years ago but I have a question: How much did your 60' times improve by?
That was the worst display of assembling these fittings I’ve seen!
I don't know if you will get this. I see the video is very old . But i am building a 69 el camino. Like the pics
