Nice S-10. Nice and clean, no ghetto wheels. I have a 383/4 speed street/strip S-10. I'm in Phoenix, AZ. We just lost the only drag strip anywhere near our area, closest one is now over 100 miles away and not nearly as nice.
@@ordinaryguygarage3667 I have a 427 sbc I had built in 2012. It has the afr 220 heads on it. It has all the good stuff in it. It makes 656 hp @6200 and makes 598 lbs of torque. It has a hyd roller in it.
Thank you! My best best et was 10.64 and my best mph was 127. Hopefully next time out I'll have time slips I can show. For some reason the track has a hard time replacing ink in the printer which makes the time slips really hard to see on camera
Looking good buddy. You have done a great job on your build. I watched the video several times, the only thing I will say old guy to younger guy would be turn the pre-stage on and take tiny bumps into the stage bulb. You would be surprised how much difference a couple inches in the stage beams means. I hope you don't take offence with me trying to help.
I've always tried to creep in just enough to light the second bulb so that way I know exactly where I am... I'm gonna try bumping in like you're saying... I've seen guys do that before
The track looked like a no or light prep I don't know what your ET goal is? But to me it looked like the poor track prep making your truck unable transfer at the hit. lower first gear and 4800+ launch can be hard to be consistent. Good luck with your weight transfer adjustments.
The track didn’t have a very good prep from what guys were saying… my main focus of the weekend was to get some passes in and try to get used to the new set up.. I have a lot of suspension work to do as well as staging/ launch technique… I’d like to see 10.50 or better at this track 1400’ elevation
@@ordinaryguygarage3667 I really like the way you don't hold the trans break against the engine for very long. If you could try to always stage last and you know the starter at the track you could nail it right after staging giving you more time to watch the lights. It's not easy or we all would get a good light LOL. I know you will get 10.50 more though I hope you get 150 to 200 passes from your engine be for a rebuild.
I have an 84 S10 long bed wanted ask u quiestion putting in a 434 stroker 14:9:1 compresson with a PG 180 SCG S10 is 3150 lbs what gears would u use ? its a 12 bolt bty u truck looks great runs good too
That was vary nice
Cool truck

That sucks about your track! We need more racers!
Your truck sounds and runs great. Congrats to you and your son.
Thank you!

As far as fuel economy goes, very high Smiles per gallon. Great stuff.
Keep on keeping on, keep doing what you're doing. Great to watch!!!
Thank you! 😃
S10 hits pretty hard I love your truck can't wait to see it sometime
Its a fun ride for sure!
I am just north of Roseburg come up to Coos Bay let's run the eight-mile together I'd like to meet you
@@curtisdanielsforservice4131 we’re planning on going to coos bay June 3,4 and 5th
Nice Work. That little S10 sounds healthy, and seems to be very consistent. 🍻
Did you have a trans brake on the truck here?
Yep
Looking good 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks!
Still launches great Scott!
Thanks!
Show some time slips so we know what is going on. 😢
Great clips Scott, I’m happy your s10 ran good and you had a great time
Thanks! we had a really good time.... now we get to start figuring everything out
What does the truck weigh?
That little S-10 sounds really rowdy. I like it. Bean has done some growing since we seen him on the channel.
He's grown so fast! dang kid is eye to eye with me now!
How many cubic inches is the motor?
385 ci
Love this truck and the build sounds awesome as well what size and brand exhaust?
1 3/4” fender well headers, 3” pipe and summit brand flow master knock offs
@@ordinaryguygarage3667 nice bro love it
I will be at coos bay on 3rd hope to see you then
I am bringing my s10
Sooo are you racing on the 16th?? Have you got a good timed pass with the new motor??Will it run 10.60s??
Yes sir, we are racing on the 16th! I’ve only been to the track the one time this year and it ran 10.60s… got something up my sleeve for Saturday! 😈
Okey… 16th isn’t happening for us.. my house shows up next week and I gotta spend the weekend preparing for it.. be at the track soon
Post your time slips. Nice clean truck.

@@ordinaryguygarage3667 Was hoping to see your 60 ft times to get an idea how your home made caltracs were working.
@@Tims13ful my best 60' was 1.55.. my main focus was to dial in the motor. I hadn't done any adjustments to the rear suspension yet.
Is that a 2 or 3 speed auto
It’s a 2 speed powerglide
The rear looks like it's instant spin at the hit. At times loading and unloading. Was that a bad track prep day? Suspension improvements planned?
Yeah, I have some suspension upgrading and tuning to do...I just stuck all the parts on and it worked well like that with less horsepower
@@ordinaryguygarage3667 Definitely seems to run good even with the spin.
you should take your tailgate off
I saw my car in the background! I'm famous
Don’t let it change you….

@@garyrisley3781 That's for sure! Id like to see this motor last for a few seasons
Are you still using the cast steel crankshaft with 13.2comp if that’s awesome 👍👍👍
What can you do to stop the wheel spin skip hop chirp deal going on at the hit?
The track prep was a bit lacking Saturday…. I probably could have dropped the launch rpm a bit
More air in the tires usually will fix that.
Hey Scott the s10 looks good my dude and it was great talking to ya at the track. I need to get your number so I can get some ideas on my s10 build. 😁
We’ll be down at the track this weekend…. Come see me
