Need help please. I have Kubota z412 with deck rck48p 400 series. Wanting to cut lower. Scared to lower the deck because of increasing the angle of the drive belt. It has stepped blades of 17mm but will only cut as low as 38mm. Are you able to give me some advice on what to do? Or what i need to buy?

Good video. I've always liked a right-angle die grinder to sharpen my hedge trimmer blades. I find that a 3" cutoff wheel is the perfect size. Same idea as the angle grinder in your video but, to me, easier to do if you don't have help.

Don't buy this mower the deck clogs up and rear shoot cloggs with grass constantly if grass is a little wet The bar blade jams up with grass against plastic cover for drive belt. The rear side shoot clogs up to I'm constantly stopping to clean out rear shoot and turning mower on its side to clear grass from underside off deck The handles on the wheel height adjustments have little rubber covers on them that come off Once thus happens you have a tiny leaver that is difficult to use >>Leavers needs to be lengthened All up extremely disappointed for a 4k plus mower it's deck is a complete design stuff up The 4 blade kit a a must a makes a definite improvement Maybe Extra High lift blades would help

Hello from the U.S., I assume you guys are in your fall/winter months now because I started cutting my grass a few months ago at the start of Spring here. About another week and it'll be officially Summer here. I just bought a Scag 21 inch with their Honda 4hp commercial grade engine option. Not sure if that option is available in your country. The mower is for my yard only, no commercial use. That Honda engine option is the most expensive option for that 21 inch mower ($2,049. USD) The two Kohler engines are around $1,700 and $1,900 USD. Pushed my old B&S powered lawn mower about 8 or 9 years then the cold start problem. I was told the combination of plastic carb and Ethanol gas. Here in the States in major metropolitan areas the Government forces us to use a 10% Ethanol blended gas. Not good for small engines! Luckily, I can take a short drive out of town and pick-up some Ethanol free gas. Called my youngest son and told him to come over and pick-up my free broken down lawn mower. He's already replaced that carb and is running Ethanol free gas. This coming Sunday is Father's day, and he's invited us over for BBQ and a dip in the swimming pool. I'm sure he'll get my old mower out and show me how good it runs now (show off!) I'll have to tell him no barrowing my new mower if my old one dies, better call your older brother and get his, lol!

Man I wish I had the same confidence in Husqvarna that you do. I really like the products, my LC19AP is awesome (10 years old without an issue), but they totally shafted me on a warranty claim on a curved shaft trimmer. It was about 2 years old, and with their oil the warranty was meant to be extended to 5 years. I took it in for a service and when I got it back it was impossible to start. Took it back to them and after some back and forth turned out to be a damaged piston. They refused to repair it under warranty claiming it was caused by me not operating the unit at full throttle. Very disappointing after sales, and has left a bad taste in my mouth. Won't be giving them another chance without a significant amount evidence showing they've changed. I'm about to pull the trigger in a bunch of Stihl gear now as a result, but definitely happy to hear I'm wrong and they've improved.

I wish we had a closer look at the clutch. I don't know what they are like compared to Honda's Commercial Roto-Stop blade clutch as those are known to go decades in residential use. The deck is similar in design to Honda's shape wise but it's nice to see the front is one uniform curve as my Honda has a baffle bolted in place there instead. I don't know how someone brakes driveshafts on lawn mowers for the drive system as I have never had that problem with any of the Hondas I have owned over the years. I'm not a big fan of belts for anything though and my Honda with its hydrostatic transmission (used in Canada and the US) doesn't have that surge but in Australia you have mosty gear boxes on your Hondas for some reason. Kohler's Command Pro engines are really good engines and I currently have four of them in my possession on a couple of Cub Cadets (12.5 hp horizontal shaft), a John Deere rider I was recently given (13 hp vertical shaft) and my Walker with a 23.5 hp V-Twin. The flail style blade systems you have in Australia are a good idea to a point, but lead me to think they can become projectiles much more easily than the rigid bar blade systems we use in North America.

    • @fuckmenora

Clutch is far better than Honda however with 7hp model IF bar blade as it doe's gets stopped by clogging of deck and rear shoot AND you keep Clutch engaged you will burn out Clutch it will smell like your cars Clutch cooking
