Long Covid Flare-up | A Day of Eating
Flare-ups seem to be part of the healing journey yet they still throw me into a tailspin. I hope this video brings a little positivity or distraction to your day if you're in need of it.
Just a quick reminder: We are all in different stages of the healing process, please remember not to compare yourself to anyone else.
I only attempt to film on the 'good' days so this one day is only a fraction of a moment of the last 3+ years.

    You described long covid perfectly!!!! It's crazy to feel normal, then relapse, and feel terrible, for no reason, it makes you scared of life, scared to push yourself in anyway, as a relapse feels awful and you don't know how long the relapse will last, my mental and sleeping problems can be terrible!!!! my anxious and weird mental thoughts can keep me awake for weeks, and there are times I feel completely normal, like a lot of people mine started in March 2020 when I first got covid, it's a very weird how covid causes so many different problems to the body, Time does help I know this for a fact!!!!!! Maybe there is a little bit of covid in our body's that sleeps, then it wakes up every now and then, which gives us a relapse every now and then, maybe it's damaged a part of our central nervous system that regulates our bodys functions!!!! And are bodies is slowly repairing this damage (but it takes years)!!!!! 3 years now of covid problems, I must admit there not as bad as they first was, (as I would be dead now I would not be able to handle the inner torture) so why does my relapses hurt me still so bad..... So it's a waiting game till they find out why this is happening!!!!!! I wish you long covid sufferers, strength to get though these strange and debilitating symptoms , your not alone and it's very real.

      I am so sorry to hear you are suffering with Long Covid. I have tried so many treatments, supplements and practitioners over the last 3+ years. I pegged HBOT as a miracle cure before going in and although I found it great for relief from pain and other symptoms as soon as I encountered a trigger my symptoms returned. On reflection a year on I understand HBOT would work best in conjunction with treating the root cause of my long covid and would help accelerate my healing.

      The suggestion of the pressure choice: if for daliy health care,you are able to chose the pressure range from 1.3~1.5ATA If for rehabilitataion ,used for disease treatment or commercial use,1.5ATA at least will be a better choice.

    I’m still getting flare ups and it’s been 3 years for me as well. It’s frustrating. I feel absolutely normal one day, but for 2 to 5 days after my “normal day” I get so exhausted again, my cheeks turn red. I get aches and chills. I can’t get a doctor to take me seriously. So, I’m in this alone.

  • @sherwoody14
    @sherwoody14 Рік тому

    If you're still doing HBOT, you may look into lower pressure. There are studies that show it to be more effective for some ailments. I do HBOT in soft chamber at 1.3 ATA and it seems to help but I haven't tried a hard chamber at 2+ ATA. Hope you turn a corner. I'm on second long haul after a full recovery from the first. This time I have dyautonomia, shortness of breath, GI and thyroid issues. It's no fun.

      Thats rough! I can not imagine being hit by long covid again after a full recovery. Thanks for sharing your experience using a soft chamber. All the advice I received at the time was the higher the pressure and the more often you attend the better. It is interesting as looking back I do think I felt best at the start when I was only doing 2 treatments a week and at the lowest pressure available.

    Hey i know this is a strange question but i wanted to ask how it feels wearing big mask in the chamber? Does it force you to breathe ? Your breathing sounds are intense when you are breathing through mask.

    • @njoyliving
      @njoyliving Рік тому

      The mask doesn’t force you to breathe, the sound is the oxygen travelling through the tubes attached to the mask. It is very loud especially when the chamber is full of people. The tubes restrict your movement and cause the mask to pull downwards on your face which can be quite uncomfortable. The mask is big and bulky and although not painful it is a relief to take off at the end of each session.

    This is such an interesting video of your recent experiences and very well presented. I agree that you do look a lot better after starting the HBOT. I have had several sessions myself recently. Not for long covid but symptoms similar to many long covid issues. I hoped it would help me with autonomic dysfunction, neuropathy, IBS/C, gastroparesis and digestive issues, chronic fatigue, weakness etc. I absolutely loved my sessions feeling better immediately after each one. After my 5th treatment I managed to start wiggling my toes which I had not been able to do for at least 5 years. My pain also has reduced considerably. Unfortunately, like you, I recently contracted covid. For me it was the first time, but also, like you, the virus went directly to my most sensitive area, my gut and played havoc there. Months later I am still suffering from the effects. Barely able to eat or sleep and much weakened by it. And most unfortunately, I too can no longer tolerate the pressure of the HBOT treatment. I am eagerly waiting to heal enough to be able to return to HBOT. Wishing you and all us chronically ill people a full and speedy recovery

    I really felt alone today in my relapse. After a string of a few good weeks, I had just written in my journal the day before yesterday that the worst feels behind me. The irony. This isn't my first relapse, and they are so demoralizing. Thanks for being that friend that understands today. Spot on about the menstrual cycles too, the relapses my cycle triggers seem to be getting better as the months wear on, but it's still a thing. Are you always able to pinpoint triggers for your relapses? I find myself always looking for a way to blame myself for my relapse, probably not healthy, but I always feel guilty for being a burden to my family yet again when I get flattened. Take care, and thank you for making videos and sharing. ❤️

    • @njoyliving
      @njoyliving 2 роки тому

      Thank you for sharing, I know so many of us who are experiencing LC can relate to this. One of the hardest things is constantly having to asking for help. I have struggled so much with feeling like a burden on my loved ones. At times I often felt like I had used up all the support allocated to me in this lifetime. What really helped me was putting myself in their shoes, I knew that if our roles were reversed I would do all I could for my family if any of them needed me. My husband often reminds me when I feel guilty about yet again having to ask for help that he is not exhausted like I am and what feels so huge for me is usually easy for him. I always look to blame myself after a relapse. I got myself into a pretty big mess earlier this week simply by eating a little too much. It really is impossible to do everything perfectly all the time. I think part of recovery is testing our perimeters and it is inevitable that sometimes we push too far. At the moment I am focusing on being grateful that when I do trip up I am able to recover so much faster. I really hope that this relapse passes quickly and that you feel increased ease each and every day. Stay strong and rest lots!

These are the two worst symptoms, the other 25 I just try to suppress. Still cant walk more than 2-400 meters. I am certain that the brain (medula oblongata) is damaged and/or the connections to the vagus nerve, hence there is no sign of any organ damages. Life is..... shattered... and a living nighmare.
