Honestly he moves better than most 7'+ guys I've seen. Especially the freakishly huge ones who are 7'4"+, and he's pretty much a full head taller than them.

Reed Sheppard is athletic he had the highest vertical leap out everyone in the 2024 draft class.

He looks very proportionally accurate. The biggest scare and issue is the the rest of your body doesn’t really scale up properly.

This kid will not make it more than 3-4 years in the NBA at best. I hope he does honestly, but unless something drastically changes (which has happened) he will not be viable on any court given modern playing styles. And please don't show Wemby as "tall guys have a tough time with free throws" and show him missing one, like he not shooting 88% on his FT this year. Please. If you need any further proof, as we have all been down this path before, just re-watch the highlights used here, and you never see him running AT ALL, or making a play with or on the ball, and only maybe to horrible looking jump shot in all the highlight. The comparison with Gheorghe Muresan is pretty accurate. If this was the 90's, he'd be a lock as a future NBA player. Nowadays he'll probably be a bench warmer at most. If Taco Fall and Bol Bol can't play, it's very unlikely he will. Every position must be able to guard the 3 point shot and sadly, I don't think he'll be ever fast enough.

Sport science is gettig better each year but he'll have huge trouble staying healthy with that size. Look at Embiid man, he's an amazing player but cannot stay at the court

Being tall isn’t the only thing that makes you good at basketball the reason we never see people that are almost 8 feet tall is because of the amount of stress it puts on their legs so it’s more about the physical aspect against high schools he might dominate but against the pros he will most likely struggle do to being so tall
