My 2021 Houseplant Wishlist (Rare & Uncommon)
Would love for you to do a propagation video. Please and thank you.
Great content and clear explanations. Thank you
I got a venus fly plant last week. I put this plant in a new pot with a layer leca on the bottom then some coconut fibre on top , then the Irish peat moss "soil" a week later the plant is dead !! I think the problem was the leca layer ??
Thank you
Eh.... Plant King! Lol! Good vid i must say!
do you keep your hoyas in semi-hydro pon?
You have done an outstanding job in your video will never be using leca
Verticulata also goes by Wilburgae, mine is very pink, had only 2 leaves, now has a 10" vine and about 8 new leaves. None of my Hoyas are in high humidity, and my Sigillatis only had 2 leaves 6 months ago, now has 6 and they are almost purple! My super silver is on the same shelf as the others and has really grown, maybe they are getting too much humidity.
❤💚👍
Thank you! Your videos are so helpful and you have said great tips that i haven’t heard elsewhere! Thank you!
I'm actually struggling with my sarawak 😅. My sarawak was repotted in pon about 4 months ago and it hasn't done anything..other than drop 2 baby leaves😢
Anybody know what happened to this youtuber? No posts here or on instagram in a year. 😟
MANY people got into plants because of the pandemic and after that was over, they moved on with their lives.
Love your video. Just subscribe to your channel
Lisa Australia is pretty but bad plant I agree %100
First time to visit this channel and I liked it ❤ thank you for information
My mil has a Crassipetiolata for almost 30 years. It’s is in north facing window and it likes to be rootbound. She has never repotted it. Try downsizing your pot and putting it in shady area and water once a month
ZIP LOCK IS NOT A JAIL, IT'S A MOTHER'S WOMB FOR MOST OF THE PLANTS. YOU DON'T NEED TO WATER THEM AT ALL, THEY WILL FEEL THEMSELVES PERFECTLY CONSUMING THE CONDENSATE AND NOT BEING OVERWATERED ❤
i keep all hoyas in a closed system (florariums) and they feel fantastic growing both leaves and juicy air roots ❤
Hi! Just watched to your 5 mistakes to LECA video. What do you do to prevent plant shock when converting to LECA?
Dang girl I know I’m late to the conversation but you need to get yourself a humidifier! Hopefully you’re having better luck with your fussier plants by now.
Thank you for taking the time to share these tips with us! I'm about to do my first transition of a plant into Leca and your advice is very helpful!
Nice tips, I think Leca is good for cuttings, I started using now, will keep your points in mind before doing repotting.
I water my curtisii and Lisa hoyas once in 2 weeks during cool seasons and once a week in summer time with spraying water on them every day. I killed curtisii once because of rain water every day for over a week. Lisa Hoya was struggling at that time too but I keep it away from rain water. They don’t enjoy the sunshine.
I really appreciate the 3-week update. Updates are useful when trying to prove the acclimation techniques worked. Is there a one-year update?
I was thinking of a rib cage for the wide part, and the spine coming down, when you said skeleton.
Sigillatus is one I won’t be trying again. Another is Serpens. Another is Rotundiflora. Australis Lisa and Excavata haven’t done much but at least they’ve stayed alive.
My some succulent plants are not doing well and healthy with any kind of soil will I plant them in leca what's your suggestion let me know please 🤔
Thank you for those tips! I just converted a monstera deliciosa (soil medium) and philodendron melanochrysum (water medium) to leca. I have two hoyas that I bought that way and wanted to convert myself. Your last tip, I was just about to do, not checking on them 😳. I’ll do so today.
I have killed two Curtisii and gave the third one to my sister. I also don’t have good luck with Australis Lisa. I won’t add either one of these to my collection again. All of my other Hoyas are doing well.
I'm worried about watering my plant. I have a monstera albo cutting with roots and I'm going to put it in leca today. Wish me luck!
Is this also called clay beads ?
Is leca good also for bonsai plants?
There are plant kings too, there are guys that like house plants and collect Hoyas as well. It's a bit offensive/sexest to suggest that only women collect plants.
Great video! I was never sure when to add nutrient solution to the Lecca after roots developed. Now I know:)
That exact size of hoya Bella Luis bois is $36 in illinois not a few hundred dollars and one thousand pesos in Philippines is less than $20 in US dollars…
So if I move my plants that were propagated in water, will the transition be as difficult? Will they have to regrow their roots too?
Hi! Water roots are the same thing as the roots that grow in water! If your plant already has water roots, then they likely won't even need to transition at all!
Omg! I added my bambinoo into Leca twice now and they both died! Heads your secret!!!😂😍😍
Mine died too.
omg great vid ! thanks for the tip to clip the roots in a week😊
While attempting to learn the name of a (splash) Hoya gifted me, I came upon your well-done video. My hoya has some bare vines doing absolutely nothing, however, I’m now going to try inserting a ‘support’ of some type (like you suggested) to see if that encourages more leaves. Since I’m very new to your channel, could you tell me what light exposure your hoyas receive, please? Mine sits near an east-facing window. Thank you for your video. 🇨🇦
Where did you get those beautiful baskets?
Mineral build up (in leca) happens if there are heavy minerals in the water. I use filtered water and I have no build up. I don't flush my pin because mine has fertilizer in it. I haven't experienced root rot in either after months of both.
Does anyone have any experience doing this with succulents?
I appreciate your video! Well done!
Will you do an update video. Any things you have changed or do differently. Do you still recommend doing everything this way?
Hi from Singapore!! I have this plant, it's gorgeous!
Hmmm i havent tried showering but good tip as i have some plants that got shocked probably wd d reservoir.
❤ 🫰🏼
Great video!
They are so pretty! Thank goodness I found your channel. I’m about to get lechuza pon and switch some of my plants. x
I Love your accent! I just got the Hoya i, t is much smaller then yours, I pray I don't have issues. Great video!
