    I was using the Zd racing shocks and the shafts still bend and the shock bodies still leak. So I went ahead and bought another set of stock shocks to see if I have any more luck with them now that I'm a little more experienced in driving my 3s Typhon.

    I really love my 3s Typhon and how durable it has been. I'm not that good of a driver yet and jumps can really beat up a car if you land wrong. My last attempt at the skate park I broke my front shock tower and destroyed one shock. I should find a place where I can land in grass rather than concrete and just go with the stock shocks until I can master jumps.

    • @itsmeericbrc4453
      @itsmeericbrc4453  2 роки тому

      Yes jumps are really rough on a car even if you are landing correctly. All of the chassis slaps put stress on the shocks, chassis, differentials and electronics.

    do not forget to bleed all the air out.. before you put the springs on so the piston does not come out at all! It takes about 15 to 20 minutes with the cap off so all the air bubbles bleeds out!

    You need to add more preload to your springs so it doesn't chassis slap so hard and flip over all the time. Also your shocks have air in them. When you push the shaft in it should not come back out on its on. It needs to be sitting longer for the bubbles to come out.

    • @itsmeericbrc4453
      @itsmeericbrc4453  2 роки тому +2

      Doesn’t the preload adjustment affect ride height? Also for the air, I serviced them exactly how Proline displayed. They showed the shaft pushing back out of the shock. I don’t but I think everyone has their own way of doing it. I don’t think there is a “end all be all” way of doing it. 🤷‍♂️

    • @gman69455
      @gman69455 Рік тому

      The shock coming out on its own is called rebound. Unless you’re building a street car you want some rebound and not just the spring unloading.

    • @calebgrefe8922
      @calebgrefe8922 Рік тому

      Yeah, preload only effects ride height. The spring rate will still be the same through the suspension travel. I think when the shock is fully extended it would have more pressure from the spring still on it, but you'd also raise you're suspension a lot for a little more force on the shock at full extension. Thicker oil and or higher spring rate for big jumps.

    • @Hungrybird474
      @Hungrybird474 11 годин тому

      @@itsmeericbrc4453it’s better for the stick to push out imo . There’s no wrong way except if the shock is too stiff and can’t compress fully . I like a little push out , not all the way 40% out , not half , can make them not fully compress . Sometimes I ll blow a c clip on certain shocks that sandwich the dampener disc . Good luck .

    If a shaft bent it should really be mentioned in a video recommending these as the “BEST” shocks. These shocks cost as much as 1/8 scale shocks but only have 3.5 mm thick shafts. 1/8 scale shafts are more durable at 4mm thick. You also filled them incorrectly. They are bouncing more on landings than the stock shocks in your earlier video. So, this video shows really expensive shocks with poor durability and decreased performance. These are NOT the best shocks for a 3s Arrma. On what basis do you make this claim? People may spend money based on this video. A click bait title that is not supported by real results is a poor way to build a viewership.

    • @itsmeericbrc4453
      @itsmeericbrc4453  2 роки тому +1

      First off I never made the thumbnail for clickbait. Second, no I filled them correctly according to Proline. Third, yes you will still bend a shaft when you send it 30+ feet in the air and don’t land it correctly. These pretty much are the BEST shocks you can get for this car. Thanks for watching.✌🏽

      @tyrellcorp2118 2 роки тому

      @@itsmeericbrc4453 Anyone with experience knows they are the most overpriced shocks for the 3s line and Arrma 6s shocks are a much better option that will also cost less money if you go to Jenny’s RC. I do 60 ft triple backflips 20 feet HIGH along with inevitable crashes (check my vids). I have NEVER bent a shock shaft. Get some Tekno SCT410 shocks (add stiffer springs). Learn how to bleed them correctly. Bash them for 2 years. THEN tell me what “the BEST shocks” for the 3s line are. I’ve spent too much money on bad advice, so I never give advice unless I’m sure it’s time tested and well founded. Stop giving bad advice with shocks that bent the first time you used them.

      @@itsmeericbrc4453 a review of shocks should certainly mention if the shaft bends. It may be serious to someone who spends $140 based on this video. Especially since Proline doesn’t sell replacement shafts. You have to buy another set of 2 for $70, while Tekno, Arrma sell shafts for $10. Another reason these are a bad, overpriced option. And experience does matter. After you keep jumping, you’ll bend more shafts, Proline will no longer warranty, so you’ll get better shocks and with that experience you’ll realize these are not the best.

    • @itsmeericbrc4453
      @itsmeericbrc4453  2 роки тому

      @@tyrellcorp2118 Shock did not bend until after I made the video. More than likely was a fluke that it happened and it had a bad landing. You can’t tell me that even the best product won’t sometimes break. There are also random product defects that obviously can be replaced under warranty. Also Horizon Hobby replaced it with a whole new set under warranty. I personally don’t like the shocks from the 6s and they are actually MORE EXPENSIVE than the proline shocks.
