Tiling my personal shower Niche with TileBar tile and Schluter Systems. Without a great way to tie the pattern together around the sides of the niche, I opted to cut a bunch of triangles, and do it this way. I love how it looks! #tile #construction #bluecollar #schlutersystems

Preparing Tile For Grout (Grout Prep) BEFORE/AFTER
Great video, what is the grit of that sanding block?
Nah...I will hire a tile guy..that's daunting
So I have a question … on that outer edge, between the metal insert and the outer tile … do you grout? … kerdi fix? … or “abut” the tile to the outer edge of the flush mount vent. Your outer tile cut looks amazing and it looks like you just abutted the metal frame to the tile. I noticed there is a slight taper on my metal Aria flush mount vent insert. To explain further, there are 3 parts to the Aria vent system … 1. The 1ˢᵗ part is flush mounted to the OSB with floor screws 2. The 2ⁿᵈ part is inserted “as a metal frame base”, it’s adjustable in the “z-direction,” (up or down”and screwed in place to prevent someone from standing on the vent and moving it lower. 3. Finally there is the “inside square” that holds the small tile on the inside. I’m talking about the 2ⁿᵈ part, the metal frame base. What treatment, if any, do we do to the outer edge? I also noticed there is a slight taper in the z direction, so the metal frame base is wider at the bottom than at the top. Plus it’s “adjustable”, by simply bending the top of the metal frame base. I’m trying to make my installation look “pro”. Thanks for your help.
Is it all sloped from one side or from all sides the same
Hey, Thanks for making this :)
Beautiful work. Good job with that epoxy, super straight and smooth.
Like butter
How do you sand it and not mark up the gloss tile?
Smoothhhh🔥
What thinset is that?
All set
What epoxy are you using?
Tenax!
I had my garage floor done with 15" x 24" ceramic tiles, but the installer didn't clean up the joints from the mortar, that when he grouted, the color of the mortar is seeping through the tiles. I pointed it out to him, but he said it's not a problem. And when I clean and wash the floor, I could see the mortar color and not the grout, and it shows cavities between the tiles. BTW, the grout color is deep gray. The other side of the story is, when there isn't a gap between the floor tiles and the wall baseboard tiles, how can the grout get in there? I'd like to send pictures if I may, your opinions will gladly be accepted to help me with this lousy job.
Sorry, can't send my picture from my phone, I'll try from my computer.
What Brand And Model Is The Part For Removing The Bad Edges Or Chips In The Tile To Buy ? Can You Put The Link Plz ? Amén.
great video
will be using for the first time, very helpful! wish me luck😆
About 20 years ago before epoxy miters was a thing, I filled my mitered outside corners with bondo two part resin tinted with acrylic paint (dark colors only since the bondo is gray). this was very easy to fill and sand and I didn’t need to use tape because it comes off easy with a razor scraper. The joints are holding up until this day. Now, there are tints for bondo like mowhawk for almost any color. Epoxy is probably better for color matching with more open time. I wouldn’t use bondo in shower (because I never tested it) but countertop edge or mitered wall base definitely works.
Wow! Amazing custom work. Very talented
You guys really take pride in your work. This was a great video!
According to wedie thin set leaks is this true ?
How much did you charge for this job? This is great work 😮
Absolutely beautiful
You are a TRUE PROFESSIONAL! Thank you for explaining step by step.
Thx fits video, I appreciate your attention to detail. Do you have any recommendations re the speed setting on the angle grinder?

What type of disk you have on the variable grinder?
Nathan, Your doing a great job! The voice over is awesome and I love those scribed cuts you made in the niche! ❤
Nice! Are you left handed? That’s just how I do it :) great video!
How long did it take the two of you to finish that edge wall, subtracting the time you took to film the video?
Good stuff bro!
Hey man, can you please tell me how did you install mosaic over the ditra heat because they don’t warranty it? Did your skim of heat and cover it with pink skin?
nice cuts brother. Im om epoxy exploration myself.
You are a true master of this technique
Thank you for the great video. Unfortunately, I am past the point of return on my first miter of job. Thankfully, the home owner is pretty chill. It has definitely been a learning experience and watching.Your videos will help immensely in the future. Next time I should probably read the instructions before doing the install.😂😂😂
Would you mind sharing what brand and type of wet tile saw is that?
unexpected spiritual awakening there at the end 😵💫..
When do you start cutting it after it dries? I just bought this epoxy to try also n it's my first time alson
After i clean all the tiles. No Thin set remaining, I 'seal' the tile with 511 Impregnator before apply the grout.
Awsome 😎
Hell yeah!!
Hi there new to your channel, I'm in Australia sunny Gold Coast, about to embark on tiling our bathroom with a large format tile,my question is I like them horizontal and my partner thinks they should be vertical, are they meant to be laid a certain way ?

No, not technically speaking. That is a design and aesthetic decision.
Really helpful, but how about that chill background music, lovely.
Genius! Ty for the great idea!
Can you do this at my house😅
Looks great!!
great job! 👌 #tilebar
