Nevertheless, the views were still magnificent. We then continue on...

I was there a couple of years ago. It’s such a beautiful place! Bali, Crete, is unforgettable, and the train ride was awesome.
Be truer if they showed the ratings mess set up for night with all the hammocks in place and sleeping on benches
Thank you for a great video, I've watched a few underwater videos, as my partner dives, this is the first I enjoyed!
Nice one! I'm glad you enjoyed my video; it makes capturing all that footage worthwhile.

When this was recorded?
This footage was recorded in October 2022.
20 years ago I stayed at what now is the rathna restaurant. Good to see it’s still pretty much the same!
The food and the views at the Rathna Restaurant were awesome. They still offer rooms for travellers. Absolutely loved that holiday!
Nice video! Can anyone tell me, is this the island where there are long narrow steps up from the harbour to the town, with small shops and coffeplaces along the way? I can't remember wich island it was, but I remember it was an island famous for sponges.
Yes, Kalymnos is famous for sponges. I don't recall any place you described in Pothia. Kalymnos is a small island with plenty of little villages. I suggest you have a look on Google Maps; you may find the place you are looking for. It was one of the best Greek islands we have visited.
@@PeterHaida okay, thank you so much, I will try to find the steps, that I remember from my last visite in the 80's, but it musthave been another island, maybe Symi.
@@PeterHaida okay, I just found the steps! They are on Symi island, and they are called Kali Strata steps, they go up to the higher town with a great view, there are about 400-500 steps to walk up!
Thanks. You made me save 30$
Thanks for the tour, very interesting, & it was just a holiday home, amazing!
Glad you enjoyed it, we had a great day.
❤🎉grazie per il bellissimo video
Grazie mille.
Tolle Tauchbasis, viele schöne und interessante Tauchplätze, viel Fauna und Flora sowie Gegenstände aus der Minoer Zeit, Dankeschön an Angelo, Alexander und Familie.
Great Video, great Dive!
Yes I also enjoyed it very much, I only did one dive and wished I had booked a second. Definitely something to consider next time!
The man should have gone down the steps backwards
Sigiriya was built by great Tamil King Ravanan. It is over 5000 years old prehistoric landmark. The top a pyramid palace, with water pool has defense system .it was pre-historic warwere and plan. it has throne at the top and the bottom very closed to the bigger one Tamil Tholcabiyam and ithihasam discriped about great king Ravanan who had ten talents. There are several architectural landmarks related to Ravanan's still on the island.
Thank you, it's nice to read more historical info about Sigiriya, and other places in Sri Lanka
Oh boy, you are writing History better than Valmiki. 🙈
@sudeshkiriella-sc4wq because we studied kambar Ramajanam, which was written before valmihi 🧒
@@rathy_v are you sure? It was written in the 12 century CE. But Ramayana in 8 BC.
@sudeshkiriella-sc4wq for sure, now valmihi made several mistakes.
Wow what a beautiful video. Where Abdul Kareem lived in this building?
Thank you, I have had a look but I’m not sure.
So this is the famous Sigiriya of Sri Lanka.Lead the way Haida !!!!
How long did it take to go up
There are several levels along the way up, it depends if how much time you prefer to look at the incredible views, but it took us a good half an hour.
Good ❤👍
Thank you! Cheers!
It was built by great tamil king ravanan. But it was destroyed by Lord hanuman. In order to save seetha who is kidnapped by ravanan. But ravanan didn't do anything wrong to her. He just wanted to revenge Lord raman and lakshmanam who sliced the nose of ravanan's sister. In my perspective ravanan is not a villain he is a great hero and great king. It's a great real story called ramayanam. If you had a time check it out.
Thank you, it's nice to read more historical info about Sigiriya, and other places in Sri Lanka
Srilanka is an amazing country
Yes, Sri Lanka is incredible, full of awesome history and wonderful people.

Who could manufacture those clays in the old days....it can number to billion blocks of clay in different sizes and shapes, others are angular.
Whoever built it had relationship with the Anchor Wat you can see the similarity of the way the Pool was built and the clay that had been used was the same engineering.
Segiriya was built by great king Ravanan. Over 5000 years old prehistoric landmark. earliest literature called Tamil Tholcabiyam was discibed about the Segiriya palace that was over 2500 years old grammatically written literature in the world. Anchor built by Kermen King suriyavarman, who was Hindu. From South India. ancestors of Tamil king great Cholan dyanacty who had ruled all around south and east wider Asia, including Srilanka and Cambodia. Our civilization greatest and oldest they developed every sector of the industry, such as science and math economics. You can see much more advance than Anchor temple in South India. Several Hindu temple architecture is unmatchable, even the modern world.
Just the Clay stone blocks can number to millions already and it's a remarkable accomplishment of the ancient already not to mention the engineering of the Sigiriya Fortress and the surrounding areas.
Unbelievable what a letdown one of the most magnificent things there are those Dragon feet or whatever they are you just do right by him really got to see him for like 2 seconds

Wow! The whole manor/home is absolutely huge! I wonder how long does it take for the team to clean up without breaking all those beautiful and delicate pieces of art all around? I was thinking of visiting this year. By looking up residences in the area through Bing search and it showed up your video. It is of excellent quality. Thank you!
Thank you, yes you will need a full day to visit Osborne house, and still not be able to see everything, cleaning and looking after all the exhibits must be a huge task, such a wonderful place, we are hoping to return soon.

Such beautiful palace ever made...in my imagination if i have power and many wives as well children...i wanna live here... I'm the best dreamer... planting some vegetable and trees or growing some pets such as cats, cows, sheeps, goats, lambs, deers, chickens, and fish salmon in that awesome canal would be great ... horse too, great horse ever... perhaps need renovation too, adding some floors, including rooms, i marriage many female, i think, female who i don't know really they are, i have responsibilities to make them comfortable in this world and after, that's name of responsibility... still Windsor castle too for Commonwealth countries, this Empire must be led correctly, sorry to be arrogant, wish me lucky, Ameen 🌐🇬🇧❤️
All the best
Hello. It's amazing place 🙂
Thank you, Sigiriya is incredible.
I'm also a Sri Lankan and I went there yesterday.I saw this guide as well who drove the three-wheeler at first of this video. Even though we felt a little bit tired when climbing those rock stairs it's an awesome place to travel for all❤. I have a little inconvenience because we couldn't visit every places in Dambulla even though a Sri Lankan. And I saw the most of foreigners are Russian people who came there. We have two dogs and should feed them their meal, So we planned to go one day trips in our lives😢
Sigiriya was and the other places we visited around Dambulla was incredible, it was made extra special because of our guide who looked after us during our tip.
16:31 that's a water slide!
Min 23:09 Teodor Erdmann Kalide, after graduating from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin, already in the 1820s became famous as a sculptor of animal figures. In 1824, in Berlin, he showed plaster models of two lions: sleeping and awake. The Royal Prussian Iron Foundry in Gliwice, which funded Teodor a scholarship for his studies, concluded a contract with him in 1824, obliging him to develop work models for the plant, according to which foundry molds could be made. The foundry kept a catalog in which the offer of iron and bronze sculptures was placed - therefore twin copies of some sculptures can be found in many places. At the end of 1831, Kalide was appointed an academic artist and began working in Berlin. In 1836, he made "Boy with a Swan", next to lions, it is his most widely known sculpture, which was cast in many copies. One of them was shown at the World's Fair in London in 1852. One of them decorates Matejko Square in Chorzów, and another is in Gliwice. "Boy with a Swan" can also be seen in Czeladź, MINSK and in the former royal residence of Osbornee House on the Isle of Wight.
Is this the Warbirds event or The Battle of Britain show? As they weren't called festivals then. Good to see inside the museums as well.
I'm sure it was called the Duxford Air Festival in 2018. The thumbnail I used in the video was scanned from the entrance ticket, I think now its the Duxford Air Show, glad you enjoyed it, we had a great day.
Thank you so much for this video ❤️😍👍👍👍
Thank you too, the trip to Sigiriya was awesome.
My beautiful country Sri Lanka. 🥰
Looking for Deiter Osterwald and wife Bashini!
Thank you for posting this, the photography was excellent, and the views glorious! Your lungs must be superhuman, not one huff or puff after all those stairs!
So nice of you, Sigiriya was incredible, we set off early in the morning when it was less busy and cooler, it's not too bad if you take your time.
