    Love the chemtrails at 1:40. Is it ok to only support the ends and not the sides. Most panels require at least 4 mounts and some 6 or 8.

      Thank you. Yes, in my case it is enough. As I mentioned at the beginning of the recording the previous panels were not secured at all and when I recorded the breaking news for my wind turbine, I believe there was a 47 M/h gusts , and nothing happened with my panels. However if you live North and your panels have to be at 60 degree angle . and you don’t have anything to block the wind behind the panels, I would definitely come up with a different type of support. If the wind can’t go underneath the panels , it is fine. Thank you for watching my channel!!

      Hello AW Bean, I tried to separate them by Ah not by brand name. All my EG4, Lifepower 100Ah batteries are connected to Sol-Ark and Victron, each tower has designed busbars and from there they connected to the 600Amp rated bus bars . These bus bars shared by Sol-Ark and Victron. Basically all my larger ones are connected to EG4-18K, battery to battery in parallel .

    Thank you for this video and information, it has helped me make sure I know everything I am getting into when considering a wind turbine install at my home. I would add some black self-vulcanizing tape (or some other sunlight-resistant rubberized product) between the struts on the tower to help mitigate the noise issue; I assume it is coming mostly from the cross-struts vibrating against each other.

    inverter manufacturer for most all in one units like to overpromise and underdeliver on output power, therefore derate at least by 20%. also split phase output doesn't like much imbalance between L1 and L2 power usage even if it is a low frequency inverter. only when each phase controls the output independently imbalance doesn't matter. this is achieved with 2 independent inverters that are synchronized together creating the split phase output of 2*120V = 240V. examples are MppSolar LV6048 with 2 inverters in one box or 2 SMA Sunny Island SI6048-US working together. also the cheap all in one units don't last very long because they are not made for outdoor usage and run hot when loaded close to max output. as always one gets what one pays for it.

    • @offgridwithlaszlo
      @offgridwithlaszlo 4 місяці тому

      Thank you. Actually everything depends on your location and your application. If you want to live off grid and run everything on electric , especially winter months, sorry this 100 KWh storage is not enough. I will talk about this topic in my upcoming video. It is best if batteries are not mixed. However if you already have the batteries you can connect them safely at low state of charge and let them sit there for a day or two. If you have a battery charger , you can charge them up to 100% and connect batteries like that. Being different brand , please make sure you connect them when all batteries have the same voltage before you start charge them together. On the inverter, you have to program the absorb and float voltage. Even if you use different brand batteries try to buy the same AH . I also connected every battery to bus bars . Thank you for watching!!

    The reason for the shutdown is probably due to the hair dryer using a half wave rectifier for its low setting. A lot of inverters don't like these half wave rectified loads. The heat gun didn't cause this due to it using different heating elements for different power levels.

      Thank you, I appreciate it. Today I was on the phone with Sol-Ark customer support with remote monitoring. The inverter did shut down multiple times consuming a little bit over 8000W . just the same way as in my presentation with different type of loads.

    • @randacnam7321
      @randacnam7321 4 місяці тому

      @@offgridwithlaszlo What loads specifically caused it to trip out? Also, has Sol-Ark pushed any updates where they skipped updates in the sequence? There could be glitches introduced by skipping updates where the skipped updates introduce dependencies for later updates and thus the inverter can puke when it doesn't see the missing dependencies. I've seen a few cases of puking Sol-Arks on here where that was the issue.

    That isnt a bad setup but its not the cheapest or easiest 100kwh setup. You could have bought an IFLA for much less that will also last just as long or longer, with no BMS worries

      Well that is true. However if I go on that road, I have to buy twice as much because too much degradation happens at 50% or below. They are very heavy, and need constant maintenance. That is some expense and time as well. After two years I recycled these batteries 360 times some of them little bit less since I didn’t purchase them at the same time, so if I’m lucky the calendar aging will kill these batteries maybe in 20 years or so. I don’t think IFLA batteries would last even 10 years. Thank you for watching!!

      @offgridwithlaszlo well you are very wrong in your assumptions on IFLA batteries. They can easily be discharged well past 50%, in fact, they are designed to be drained to 100% of their rated capacity. And their "maintenance" is adding some water maybe 3 times a year. You on the other hand must balance your batteries every 3 months or so. IFLA's run forklifts routinely for 10+ years at a time, and even then, they are easily reconditioned and ready for use in a solar setup. Amd at that point you might pay 5-10 cents on the dollar vs LiFePo4. And for weight, they are 2v cells, not much heavier than your EG4's.

      Thank you for watching. As I mentioned in my video, in this situation we compare again a HF and LF inverters however living off grid the most important how much it cost and what can handle.

    Thanks for the video, seems there are a number of people with the same issue of premature shutdown

      You are welcome. I just hooked the Sol-Ark back to the system and recorded a situation where clearly visible the inverter is not overloaded in any way, and shuts down. I’m going to post it soon. Thank you for watching!!

    thanks for this video. Incredible how cheap energy is in texas and you do this investments for freedom. this is a good purpose. keep going. cheers

      Thank you, I appreciate it. Right now some solar panels cost around 23 cents/watt. For less than 5K anyone can have a 20Kw system. Technically after one year there are some profit too besides freedom. Of course there are some other expenses for inverter , wires etc but makes me happy not relying on anyone. Thank you for watching!!

    I would return that crap! 8k for that? What a big mistake.

      When it comes with freight it is more expensive to return and complicated. Review this set after 6 months and a year will give me a better idea , information to see if this investment worth it or not. Thank you for watching!!

    "Misery Wind and Solar" is a perfect pronunciation for this company based on what I'm hearing and seeing. We bought a 4m turbine from china. Great product (so far), but we have the wind. That tower Misery sent you is a joke/toy. So sorry about your experience and thanks for sharing.

      After a of research I didn’t find anything else that would work for me. I agree the quality could be a little bit better but at the same time would be much harder to set it up by one person. Thank you for watching!!

      Thank you , I appreciate it. I think I mentioned in one of my videos that I accidentally mounted them backwards, but it was corrected and verified with the company as well before I commissioned the wind turbine. Thank you for watching!!
