I'm late to the game on the Manix 2... but the last couple months got a CruCarta, then a LW Rex-45 atter that. The LW has a white handle with satin blade...at first I wasn't too keen on the white, but it grew on me. Plus it was less $ than the base model. Ended up getting another to squirrel away for the boys Christmas gift. And I put the Crucarta away for special occasion. Oh well better late then never. Diggin your aftermarket scales...👍

Manix 2 is favorite Spyderco, possibly my favorite knife of all time. I prefer the g10, but don't mind the frn lightweight atall, all my lightweights are pinned, but I'm really wanting to try these different scales their coming out with. Good lookin' knife. I haven't followed the current data, but i remember there was lack of clarity about the optimal HRC number for magnacut, all things being equal (which they rarely are of course). When i left off, people seemed to think it was between 62 and 64. I imagine Larin (sp?) has probably weighed in by now. If your heat treat is good and you hit 62 it probably doesn't matter much, but i guess i was wondering if everyone came to a general consensus on a max number.
