Is it a resistive element heater or reverse cycle air conditioning? If it is resistive element, it is very inefficient and will destroy battery life unnecessarily.

I don't know if it's meant as sarcasm, batteries are quite literally much worse in the cold. you'll be lucky if your car is even useful, and then waste power on heating a steering wheel xD an old lada will start up no problem and you have vodka for your own personal heating

to be fair I never understood the need of heated steering wheels, I never touched my steering wheel and thought , oh that is to cold… On the other hand I don‘t know why there is no cooled steering wheel yet available, as in summer, it is getting so hot I can’t touch it…

EVs already have big disadvantage in cold weather losing most of their range - using all those heaters doesn't help.

Main issue is battery capacity cut in half in cold weather. Good for daily work comute but that's all

I got 2024 Premium, and for some reason, the sound equalizer doesn't remember the settings. Every time i start the car, it goes back into default. Do you have any ideas? Why is that ?

Pretty much my experience. Bought March 2024. Ford was dumping them, so no problem on price. Opposite side of the coin would be resale is probably down as well. Only problem is range reduction due to temp extremes. Here it’s heat. Try a trip when the temp is 112 degrees. A/C keeps up, but range is down just like in cold temp’s. And of course, 80 mph on freeway is always problematic. I’ll try some long distance again in more temperate times. That’s my *only* disappointment-I wanted to feel reasonably secure traveling 250 miles (90 kWh battery) without highway fast charge. We will see. One thing not emphasized…cost of charging! If you don’t charge at home, the car is significantly *more* expensive to drive than any ICE vehicle, hence this is not a long range trip car no matter the range. Best cost for an external fast DC charge was 54 cents a kWh. Doesn’t bother me as I bought this for local trip use. If you’ve no experience with high performance cars, you’ll find this a fun, fast vehicle. Interior room is competitive with other EV and most smaller ICE SUV’s.

Update. Error message is still on the screen, but the KMS are actually going up. It's still charging. "Task Failed Successfully" Me thinks this will be addressed in a software update right quick.

Just picked up my wt4 and its doing the exact same thing. Tesla mobile charger with a 20 amp 240 volt plug. Using a tesla to j1772 adapter. Charges fine for 10 minutes then throwa the error. Not sure if its still charging after the error or not.

Great review. I went from a 22 powerboost lariat that i ordered from ford, to a 23 mach e gt pp that is exactly how i would order it, but was on the lot. 5 months in, 9k miles, and i love it. The simplicity of the driving experience and maneuvering ability is a understatement coming from a guy who only drove full size trucks to a ev. Only comfort i miss is the cooled seats. Havent seen many cold temps yet so cant comment on that. And the "i dont pay attention to gas prices" line, is sooooo much an understatement, as i dont even notice the prices anymore either Thanks for the review

So I bought one for 5k same spec with 40k 1 on wet. I have a 9 mile round trip to work. It’s works great. It my only car for now but I’m a single gal who just scoots around town and charge up at night. But mostly once a week. If I need to go further I just rent a gas car When I tell people it’s electric their mind is blown. Because no one has ever heard of it. I plan on getting a longer range ev. But I’ll keep my ford until it fails.

How more off can you be. First you're comparing an SUV to a Truck. The inside cabin is going to be louder due to removable tops duh!! Can't do that in a cyber truck. I had an allocation for a cyber truck and let it go after seeing EV Hummer. Sorry no comparison. The outside of the Hummer and inside are far superior. To note Chevy has a fix if the glass panels happen to rattle.
