- Well... this kiln opening taught me a few things. I first touched clay in 1983, and the clay continues to educate me. Stay tuned to see if I'm able to save my beautiful failures.

The pacific blue loaf pan is to die for !
I had an idea for you: make a little clay pin on top the snowman and make a little hole in the hat, glaze both and put the hat inside the clay snake (pin) so when it fires together if the hat slide a little it will be hold on the clay pin because it is inside the hat and it will fuse together. I hope I make sense, English is not my first language 🤗

I’m so sorry about the snowman. I glaze glued a knob to my grandson’s lid and he was amazed it stuck. Just a bit of grandma magic! Everything else looked so nice 😍

Sounds like glaze gluing can be a double or nothing bet.

The tree with the treetop curls is sweet. Mikki’s festive dino cups are awesome. Overall, pretty stuff, despite the small disasters. Nice!
I have dreamt about making pottery, all my life! So, in order to heal fron depression, I took a few classes. I bought everything I needed. But, at one time in my life, I fell sick again and had to sell everything. I am very sad about it. I am thinking about taking more clases. It was so relaxing. Seeing these creations made me emotional, but in a good way. They are marvelous! ❤❤❤
@SoleildePerez I've suffered from depression too, and I've had students who have struggled as well. And we are all in agreement that doing pottery is the best antidepressant out there.
I would love for you to make a video of you getting the snowman and house apart and then fixing them. I think that would be cool to see and very informative… Just a thought. 😊
@@heidicash5897 Tou know I had that thought when I ook a hammer and screwdriver to them. But I didn't film it. I got the pieces apart now to grind it all. Ugh

I loved the trees and the texture you put down the edges when you made them and they are lovely with the glaze runs, what is it about oatmeal or the light glaze, lots of potters i watch if they add it, it causes everything to run like its on skates, some intentional some not so much, i love it on your trees. The cups that have the same glaze combo are fresh looking but i like the running cascades on your trees

@karenhickson9210 I sold out of them, and I plan to make more in the new year. I sell them for 40 to 50 depending on design and size.
