If I was your husband, boyfriend, brother, or father, that nurse would be in the hospital and I would be in prison, so it would be a lose lose situation

Thank you for sharing this. My dad is in Oklahoma and I am in South Carolina. He has 3 tubes. Your video helped me understand. Dad wanted to keep it a secret. Now I can talk about this. He won’t answer phone.

Thanks for your video…I have a chest drain placed in my lung vs on the membrane (had to be placed deeper to get all blood out but don’t know if it makes a difference). I’m so anxious about the removal but after watching your video, I feel much better. Crossing my fingers to getting it out in the morning…&

I was watching this video right before they pulled mine. This video made me quite anxious. As someone else said, “I know everyone’s experience is different” but as he was about to pull it I was trying to control my breathing to prepare for an awful experience he didn’t tell me to breath out. He just said hold it and it was over. Barely felt anything. So just relax.

What happen if you living warfarin and take antibiotik

    • @buttonzone

The antibiotics make the warfarin less effective so your INR could drop and you could get clots

I woke up with a blurry shadow in my right eye's lower vision field. Optic nerve stroke. I thought I did it headbanging at a concert (in my living room). 53 and relatively healthy (relatively). First thing I checked after the doctor got done with me was my view through a scope, as I do a lot of backyard plinking- all good. The doc actually laughed when I asked him if I could have done this headbanging. The more you know...

Thanks for sharing this info. Very timely for me. My leaflets are mildly thickening. I'm on 20 mg Furosemide also. I'm on Lisinopril and two other BP meds Interesting though I have bradycardia at night in low 50's and very normal during the day. My LV is mildly dilated.

Sounds very familiar. I thought because my heart rate was higher than my age rate was a good sign. Lol. Like you I got out of breath and it seemed to me that it was an issue with my lungs. Took echo last month and was moderate to severe. Gave me diuretics and taking another echo in a few weeks to see if that helped. Praying

Im 3 years post op from an aortic mechanical valve replacement. Almost immediately I was experiencing double vision, deja vu type “seizures”, and vertigo. I learned to live with these inconveniences, and my cardiologist stated this is common after being on a heart-lung pump. As of 1 day ago I experienced my first TIA, and was rushed to the ER with arm numbness and inability to speak. My INR was in range, as well as my CT, MRI, and blood work. Like I said, I’ve learned to live with it, but after this TIA real fear has started to settle in. I am 26 years old, and I don’t want my life to be crippled by TIAs, or worse, a stroke. I hope you’re doing well, as we take this journey together…

I had a similar situation after open heart surgery. I had the first one 30 mins down the road after discharge. It is very similar to what you describe but it was so distorted I couldn't tell what was going on, seemed like each eye was smearing the images independent of each other and it also lasted about two mins. This happened again the next day the same way and in two days from then. In another two days it haplened again to a much lesser degree and I could see it was double vision vertically. That was the last time it happened until 4 weeks later when it happened once more. I talked to a nurse practitioner, a doctor and went to an ophthalmologist and nobody is concerned about anything serious but it really bothers me, I hope this isn't something they are overlooking. I also won't be able to do an MRI, one of my pace wires came all the way out but the other got stuck and wouldn't pull through my chest so they clipped it. More importantly I have steel wrapped around my sternum.

I had night sweats after diverticulitis/colostomy surgery and again after I had my reverse colostomy. I just had a quadruple bypass and am writing this comment while I'm still in the hospital (I get discharged today). Last night, I woke up early in the morning with night sweats. I knew this would happen after getting anesthesia. For me, it'll take the anesthesia another week or two to leave my body. In the meanwhile, my temperature will spike when I'm having these night sweats and I'll change my clothing 4-5x each night. I've learned to put a beach towel under me during this period so my bed sheets don't get soaked.

Wow, you refused a blood transfusion? That is brave. Cardiac surgery is number one for losing blood. But they have lots of ways to avoid giving a blood transfusion these days. And never mind about your hemoglobin, your body can heal much faster without that slam dunk on your immune system from a transfusion. It is so much safer without accepting someone else’s blood. May I ask why you refused? How did you become informed?

Stings like shit huh? I have 3 more to go, countdown is on. That one will likely bruise, i have heaps of bruises but they go in a couple days. Running out of space on my left side. Don’t know why we all do heavy breathing but I do the same, it either that or take the damn thing out I guess. 😬

“Right side at night” is how I remember which side to inject. Also, choosing and cleaning the site first, letting the alcohol dry while you prep your dosage works best for me. Also, swinging that needle around while making this video and explaining the prep process makes me nervous.
