Bless you, sweetness. I’m sorry you’re hurting. I also had open heart surgery this past June. I am recovering, although I’m still in afib. I know, I’ve also encouraged my family to have ECG to Check things out. Praying for you. God Bless and comfort you during this time. Much love ❤️
Stephanie, I’m so sorry you’re going through this... Your videos have been so comforting to me. I’m 56 and had OHS on Sept 14 of this year to repair my mitral valve. I watched your videos multiple times and so appreciate your generosity in sharing your journey. It was scary and more difficult than I thought it would be. I’m only 9 weeks in and am still waiting for cardiac rehab to be scheduled. Did you ever do it? When could you sleep on your side? It still hurts when I try it. I’ve had so many people tell me it takes between 6-12 months to feel completely normal. Was that your experience?
Hey Stephanie! Your videos helped me prep for OHS/MV repair 9/07 tremendously, thanks. For what it’s worth I tried to get my sis to understand congenital heart issues to no avail as well. It was the old ‘ you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink’ thing in that case too! I suppose ‘doing right’ has to be it’s own reward most of the time dear one. Thanks again for all you’ve done for those of us you did reach!
Oh no! I’m so sorry!!! Sending prayers!! Your videos have helped me a lot. I am having surgery December 1 2017 My adopted dad had a heart attack and died. My step dad had bypas and valve replacement this pass may and doing awesome. I agree. I think having your Heart checked is important. Yearly echo after a certain age is just important as any other dr check up.
Update: they did not do an autopsy on my uncle, so we will never know if he had a dilated, aortic root, or anything else that was dilated and his heart
The upper part of my scar is still a little raised. The bottom part is practically invisible. My 2 puncture wounds are very visible. Try to get some rest. I’m praying for you.
