I bought a bootleg tape to get the original dialogue. The ca. 2000 rerelease DVD in the USA finally featured the original version and the dub. Great movie.

i watched the original about 10 yrs ago and it was amazing how much stuff they took from it and converted it to the modern era of its time and made it cuban.

I went to Clairemont High School were Cameron Crowe went undercover as a student to get ideas for his book Fast Times at Ridgemont High. My uncle would have been a student at Clairemont when Crowe was there and said Spicoli was actually based on 3 different people and my Uncle was friends with them.

When I watched ROTN in the theater, it was one of the best movies and experiences that I've ever had. Many people were laughing, cheering, and clapping for the Nerds, throughout the movie.

Frank Civero (Carbone) was also in both Godfather 1 and 2. In 1 he was in the background watching Sonny beat up Carlo.

The most interesting scene is the one with Lloyd in the movie. Jack was so angry with Wendy, so desperate. But when Lloyd listens to Jack silently, then offers him a drink, the atmosphere changes. Kubrick's films are very atmospheric.

It is not 237k to the moon. It's much closer to 239k. If you can't get this correct, why would one believe any of your 'facts'?

After several years of observing different behind the scenes material of the matrix movie, I realized that the movie was created off of several influences. More than most people realize.

I saw Pat Morita(Mr. Miyagi) at Imperial Palace Casino almost 20 years ago around 2005. I was so excited because I love the Karate Kid and loved the Miyagi character. He got a marker for $500 to play craps. I decided to quickly introduce myself and when I approached him he was rude and mean. I was shocked obv because I was expecting this super nice grandfatherly type that I saw in the Karate Kid movies. I walked away and talked to a Pit Boss who told me that Pat Morita a regular gambler there and was unfriendly and rude to everyone. He also told me he was a degenerate gambler who lost lots of money. Also fyi Imperial Palace Casino is no longer around but it was a dump. Pretty old and run down. So to see Pat Morita there was a shock but the fact that he was a regular there tells me he probably lost most of his savings. He died a few years later, my guess broke.

I just watched this the other day. Next time you see it, look at the part where Jack, Wendy and Danny arrive at the hotel. Look at the pile of luggage they brought and telll me how they shoved all that crap in a VW Beetle.

Another twist to room 237 is in the actual hotel the movie was filmed in there is no room 237

My favorite LOTR trivia Peter Jackson was directing Christopher Lee for Saurman’s death scene saying “Grima will stab you in the back you yell out and collapse” or something like that. Lee advised Jackson he would not be able to yell out if he was stabbed in the lung stating "Have you any idea what kind of noise happens when somebody’s stabbed in the back? Because I do." Peter acknowledged citing that Lee was in Britain's Special Air Service during the war, and would not divulge further on how he knows that particular detail.

Penn's first role after this was a movie called Bad Boys (not at all related to the Will Smith movies released much later). He played a teenager in juvie prison, and did some impressive acting. It's really worth a watch if you come across it.
