Thank you ALL for being along for this 30 pinks fun. I hope you enjoyed it even if pink isn't your favorite color. Maybe next year we'll get to 30 teals or something. How amazing would that be? I think I'd be in danger of buying ALL of them though. Sorry for the rambling at the end. My brain was full of things to share. Not sponsored. All opinions my own.

Hi Maria, good to see you again! (I miss the 30inks-daily-dose ☺️) I see a pattern here… going for all kind of teal. I don’t think you won’t like teal anymore after a 30teal month. Somehow it’s more muted than pink -what do you think?
Thanks for the distraction that helped me do my dishes and feel normal for a few minutes. Signed someone with anxiety over things no longer impending. 😢
Sending hugs and hearts your way. <3 Unfortunately for me I've still got some things giving me stress, but hey, I've got pretty pens and inks, too.
I really love your choice of pens and colors this month.
Thank you! It's only been a few days since I filmed this but I'm really enjoying them so far. 🥰
Diamine Eau de Nil looks awesome 😎
Oh I love it so much. 🥰🥰
Lovely currently inked and a contrast to the previous pink month! Regarding the inks that are similar - you know what you like so why not go with inks that make you happy!! I’m looking forward to your videos of the ink advent calendar next month.
I'm really looking forward to the Advent calendar too! 🥰 And you're so right about knowing what I like. I do enjoy stepping outside the usual, but I still have my favorite that I'll always return to. 🥰🥰
Yay! Maria is back!!! HEY MARIA, YOU'RE DOING GREAT!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Interestingly, we didn't have advent calendars growing up. Which is odd, my mom was a complete Christmas person. I do like the idea.
Hi! It's you! So glad to see you here. 😜🥰😜
Excellent colors! I usually try and ink at least one "accent color" because otherwise it is often a lot of purples, blues, and greens. 😂
Haha accent color, that's a great term for it! 🥰🥰🥰
I did a small quilt by hand and yes, the binding is the worst. I should have done it on the machine.
This hand quilted quilt is so much... Less stiff? It's got a gentleness to it that the machine quilting doesn't have. I love it! But I don't know if I'd take on that again. My current hand sewn quilt is a great candidate for straight line quilting. 😅🥰
Excellent currently inked! I can definitely see how leaning into the moody darker colors would happen as a response to pink month. Advent calendars are awesome, but I didn’t grow up with them. It took me years into adulthood to embrace niche calendars, but since I did I haven’t looked back. I got some Stickii sticker advent calendars this year. Your quilt is amazing and congrats on finishing it. Good luck finding the next project. I am also a sucker for match 3 games, so I’m trying my best not to ask which ones were good enough to suck you in. 😹 Thank you so much for sharing! 🤘🏼😸🧡🖋
We won't discuss the match 3. I was playing two of them to the point of addiction over three end of last week, so I uninstalled them. And then installed a new one later that day. Dammit. 😅🤣 Also... I uh, was already working on my next project. Bad habit of that over here. 😅🥰
Great inks! If you're anything like me, you'll be almost instantly bored having two pens with similar inks, un-ink one of them and start with a new pen and new colour (which you may later regret - I can go through this several times in a day :) Currently waiting on a Pen Chalet FP day order (or oops) that comes with a free Tono and Lims ink. Have never tried this brand before, curious to see which Tono and Lims it will be! There might possibly have also been a Vanness order placed at the same time :D I grew up in a family of many different religions and so was always given a choice. My grandfather (who was also my Godfather) did his best to educate those of us that would listen about the various religions (among them Anglican/Church of England/Scottish Catholic, and living in a Lutheran neighbourhood). We had chocolate Advent calendars but were made to recite the Advent poem as children ("Advent Advent..."). My neighbour (Lutheran) eventually got Hotwheels calendars - but was still made to recite the Advent poem each day and discuss what he was reflecting on before he could go play with the toys :D I think any holidays that started out as religious observations are now made very commercial - even Hallowe'en goes back centuries and was not about candy.
What an interesting childhood! I think it's brilliant to teach children about all the religions. Or at least many of them. 🥰 Funnily enough, I don't mind having so many inks that are similar at the same time as long as the pens are different enough. But also... this shade of teal makes my heart sing. 🥰🥰
Great to see a video from you! I’ve recently had an accident that left me with a broken leg and immobile so I’m here for ALL the videos! Looking forward to advent ink calendars and would enjoy seeing you open a wine or chocolate one at the same time. 😂
Oh my goodness I'm so sorry to hear about your accident. I hope you heal quickly. 🥰 I'll have to make another video soon.
I’ve gotten a tea advent over the years and enjoyed it a lot.🫖
I've thought about doing a tea Advent! But I always drink my Earl Grey and it doesn't leave room for much else. 😅
I do mine the same way: machine, then hand slip stitch.
It's such a calm task. 🥰
I grew up Catholic, so Advents weren't a thing. Discovering them as an atheist adult, they're great. I get ink, wax melt, candle, and chocolate ones, and spread them throughout the winter months to add a little gift to those darker days
What a great way to bring some joy to the winter months. 🥰 I also grew up Catholic, but we had Advent calendars! They just had pictures behind the flaps though.
Advent calendars feel like can go either way. I love getting them for my grands. At the Aldi here they have both wine and beer advents…also hot sauce, coffees, and teas.
I've been pretty lucky in my choice of calendars so far, but you're so right about them going either way. 😅
Beer advent calendar? I must get me to the Aldi soonest.
@ they don’t last long
Watching some of the videos I missed from the past. Loved this one because you said‘isn’t it ironic’ and we both said ‘don’t you think’ at the exact same time. Confirming that we should be friends…😁… haha! Goes to show CA and AL aren’t as different as some might think.
Oh I think we're all more similar than we realize! Even when people disagree about things, most folks would be able to also find things they agree about, too. ♥️ And yeah I really do think. 🤣🤣🤣
so pretty!! Love October for you. I adore my fine kakuno’s (both have iroshizuku inks in them) they are so buttery to write with, mine are F which work well for me in the weeks with the smaller areas to write with.
They are really great in the grids in Hobonichi books! And Iroshizuku inks are so lovely. 😍🥰
Awesome currently inked! My faves of yours is the Mayfair pen and the F-C Salmon Glow. My faves inked up are a Platinum Preppy Maki-e 2 series inked with The Wet Pen Gas Works Park, and an Opus88 Demo with a modified 6.0mm Parallel nib inked with Troublemaker Milky Ocean, which you definitely inspired. That ink is so good. I also have issues with my steel Pilot nibs in the Kakuno and the Prera. They write so dry. The best thing I’ve found for them is using a very wet ink, wetter than Iroshizuku if you have it. Something like Writer’s Blood maybe. Then I get a line width and flow that I’m actually happy with. 😹 Thank you for sharing and being awesome! 🤘🏼😸🧡🖋
Your favorites sound lovely! And I do have Writers Blood so I'll have to try that out. Thanks for the suggestion! 🥰🥰
This is a wonderful wrap up and comparison video. I’m totally saving this for future reference. Thank you so much for sharing! 🤘🏼😸💗🖋
Thank you for being here and being so lovely. 🥰
What a great day to be reminded of the awesome song again. Oh do you remember? The 21st night of September? 💃 🕺
Yes! It's so good. 🩷🥰
I agree - pilot wtf? Would it be so bad to sell a couple f m b replacement nibs? Thanks for biting the hands that feed you. If you did not make such great pens I would never buy a pilot because of that, but your pens and nibs are so good. I STILL HATE YOU for not offering nib for sale by themselves.
Yeah I really wish they would sell replacement nibs. 😅
U crack me up. U hit me out of left field with a particular comment. I love it. Example”here is my pilot cacuno. I hate this pen. “ I don’t have to worry about you telling me how you really feel. It’s great I love most of my pens but sometimes u get one and yuck. It sucks. Or hopefully later on after the first shock. I’m like oh it a nice change from all the thick writing nibs
I'm really trying to like my Kakuno. It's great for writing in the small grid in the Hobonichi. So that's nice. 🥰
Love pink inks!
I'm really enjoying them too! 🩷🥰
Hi Maria, „Both got the color wrong but in the same way“- I laughed so much! Thanks for your always entertaining videos (that’s why I miss 30pinks a bit now ☺️). So many pinks! Yay! You picked the punchiest and I like it a lot 💕 I can’t pick a fav though, I have at least 3-4 pen-ink-combinations that are perfectly matched!
Thank you for the kind words. 🥰 I would have a hard time picking favorites, too. Though I am really enjoying my black Lamy with the bright pink in it. Just wonderful. 🥰🥰
@@MariaRosseau to be honest- I never did that and was wondering why I didn’t use my dark pens with dark inks. Its so easy!! Put a pink in it- and I did and I’m happy ☺️💕
I put a goulet broad nib on my kakuno cos I hated the nib. 😅 That Newton pen is stunning.
I love Newton Pens! I have to keep myself from haunting his shop. 😅🤣
Hehe, the big Pilots made it to you. I‘m curious about the TonoLims, does it change color? It’s supposed to be a blue or light purple?
I haven't seen a color change, but maybe I'm doing something wrong. Or maybe the thing I read about that doesn't apply. 😅🤣
@@MariaRosseau hehe. It’s a nice color anyway! What category would you put it in? Blue-purple-blurple?
@@MrsAlchemist A bit of a blurple. Mayyyyybe periwinkle.
@@MariaRosseau thanks 🙏
You can get replacement nibs for the pilot kakuno search Pilot #5 replacemet nibs
What's up Maria! Savoring...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I know exactly what that means. Use your pens!!!💜
I need to use them more than I currently am! I'm not writing as much as usual. Gotta get back into the habit. 🥰
@@MariaRosseau Truth be told, I have too many pens. I keep going back to my favs. Perhaps I should consider selling them.
@@robbourne1950 I think that might be the right choice for some people. I find that my preferences go in waves, so I usually prefer to keep mine... but that might not always be the case.
It’s a lovely line up both the blues and the pinks and the pens! The Herbin Fuschia is amazing. See you next time!!
Yes I'm really enjoying this month's selection! 🩷🥰
What a nice, varied color pallet. Some really nice pens, nibs, and colors! HEY MARIA, you're doing AWESOME! 🥰🥰🥰
Wow...what am I loving at the moment? I'll have to study that question and get back with you. It's like picking a favorite pet...or child... 😁
Thank you for the nice words. I hope you're doing awesome too. 🥰🥰
Haha it really can be like that! 😅
I am loving Diamine Steel Blue.
I haven't used that one. Yet. 😅🥰
@@MariaRosseau worth a peek 👍
I like the Bays.
Me toooooo 🥰🥰🥰
One of ny closest friends has a Kakuno fine among her regular work horse pens. I have never understood that. 😊 She and I prefer different nib sizes, ink colors, and pen body styles. I think we overlap in some of our paper preferences, journal styles, and ink brands. 😂 I love a hobby with enough variety for everyone!
Yes! It's really great that this pen exists for folks that will love it. It's cute, and I wish it was the pen for me. 🥰
@@MariaRosseau Kakunos seem to be finer than normal pens. I *love* a fine nib, so I love my Kakunos...but I totally get how it's not the pen for all people! That's the magic IMHO - there's a pen, nib, and ink combo for EVERYONE.
@@kd5byb yes, 100%™🥰🥰
Kosumosu is in my cart awaiting payday…I have a pen waiting for it!
It's really pretty and I hope you love it. 🩷🥰
@@MariaRosseau I know I will. That line so far has been awesome and we know it’s reliable. I have three that I want…including tsusuji
I love the aquamarine combo you have and all the pinks! Of my own I’ll have to say my favorite this month is my Lamy 2000 inked with Diamine Marine. Thanks for the video!
Oh yeah, my Lamy 2000 is generally a favorite when I've got it inked. What a great combo you have! 🥰
Love the inks this month. Do you have the new con-40 in the Kakuno (3 small agitators instead of one)? I find that the type of converter really improves ink flow and the line tends to get thicker - not sure if you can still get the old con-40 though. Might also want to try a really wet ink in that pen, the kakunos tend to write dry. You probably still won't get a medium like TWSBI medium but it helps - I'm the opposite, love fine precise lines, except when my writing gets shakey, then it just looks horrible, lol!
If you like fine lines this is a great one for you! I've got an old con-40, from probably 2016. I did put a more flow-y ink in it, but I'll have to throw some Writer's Blood in it before I consign it to be given away. 😅🥰
On the Kakuno just replace it with a Wing Sun nib. I love the Kakuno Medium. I use it like a fine lol! That's an assortment of colours this month indeed!
Yeah this is definitely like a fine to me, since I generally prefer "western" nibs. I looked into possible replacement nibs, and I might go that route. Not quite sure yet. 🥰
@@MariaRosseau the only reason I know what fits then is that while cleaning one the nib slipped off and went down the drain. I think the might have a broad although their medium isnt as fine, its more medium
@@MariaRosseauKakuno, Prera, Metropolitan and Explorer all share the same nibs, in case you decide to replace. :))
@MariaRosseau I know you can get a broad nib with a Prera and it will fit the Kakuno. My friend gave me a Kakuno and a Twisbi Eco as my first fountain pens. I love both. The Kakuno never hard-starts or dries out and writes perfectly every time. I’ve since acquired other pens, but I keep using my little Kakuno. It’s especially great as a pen to keep out for jotting quick notes, because it always writes the first time.
@@blktaunaI bought a drain catcher thing for my sink because losing a nib down it almost happened to me. 😱
I agree SO MUCH aboutbthe Kakuno medium being whatever it is but not a medium I have several for work, and I am very disappointed every day when I try to write with them and they are skinny and not big juicy lines of beautiful link
Glad I'm not alone! I'm going to try to make it write a bit more wet before I give up on it. 😅🥰
The loose FC caps are so annoying! But Salmon Glow FOREVAH!
I hope their redesigned model 45 makes those caps more secure. 🥰
Well after your 30 days 30 pinks I ended up with ordering 15 of them and then I found another video with purples and they are all coming too . ❤❤❤I loved the series and I need to learn to not have 30 pens inked but I'm only a newbie to this. Learning so much.
If you're new to this my advice is to spend some time enjoying what you have. (Not that you asked.) I really hope you enjoy your new inks! I'd love to hear which ends up being your favorite. 🥰
I use(d) trillion for a long long time. It’s still installed I think but with most chat platforms shut down and discord the mainstay, there’s not much use for it anymore. Plus they’ve focused on business use now anyways
I used it at a job for a bit when we were using an xmpp-based chat program. And of course I know you'd know. 😜🥰
If I look at this Divine Pink as a dark pink, I like it. But if I look at it as a red, I’m not into it. My least favorite reds are the ones that lean pink. So I’m totally considering this as a pink for selfish reasons. 😹 I love your explosive splat technique. It feels like a splat to the finish line 🏁! 🤘🏼😸🧡🖋
You know what, I think I have the same feeling about pink versus red. I prefer neutral and slightly cool reds to warm reds, but I want them to be red. 🤔🥰
I love this pink, but I agree, I like the tone of VD Tasmanian Robin Pink better except for less shading. I’m finally going to start my catch up for 30 inks videos, so it’s binge time now! 🎉 All the pinks in one day! 🤘🏼😸🧡🖋
A pinkstravaganza! 🩷🥰
What's up Maria! I do like that Tono and Lims blue shade. 🥰💜
I'm looking forward to trying it out! 🥰
Hi Maria, oh you needed to save the two! They need to stay together 💕… because… pretty?!! Keep us updated how you feel about the grip section. I‘m eying this model, too-especially in a matte color
So far I'm really loving these pens! The section isn't bothering me at all. I need to remember not to death grip my pens, but that's true for all of them. 😅🥰
@@MariaRosseau yeah… the death grip. Had to adjust mine because of hand problems. Sometimes not-matte grip sections are less slippery than matte sections, perhaps this Lamy is one of the good ones ☺️
Don't talk about the vein... Subscribed !
Welcome! 🥰
Big up the Lamy studio. I do the very same with my ink card book 😀
I'm really happy with these pens. I was worried I wouldn't be. 🥰
@@MariaRosseau Glad you like them 😀
Hiiiiieeee so I too am so happy to see a new stuff day video. I’m proud of both of us for maintaining composure during 30 pinks month. I only got one but I believe my second will likely be kodumosu…I have a pen that needs it. If it flows like Yama Budo I’ll be so happy. Fun video! Have a great week!
It flows so nicely. 😍 The other real standout is what I put into my new black Studio, but I don't remember what that was. I can't check right now. 😅
@@MariaRosseau I did love that color too, please share when you figure it out. Also…I love the Prince references…we must be a similar age…loved him so much. So many great memories tied to that time in music
Oooooooo...UV ink! I didn't see much, but it's often real hard for any camera to capture UV fluorescence. You LED appeared blue on my screen, does it light up other things (like $20 bills) okay? Might just be screen calibration / camera settings. Your Wearingul swatchbook conundrum is why I chucked my first ink journal - I couldn't re-organize the pages as I added new colors and brands because it was wire-spiral bound! I moved to a Kokuyo "three-ring but way more than three rings" binder so I could move stuff around. Too bad Wearingul's book isn't in something like a three-ring binder - that would be IDEAL. Glad you're making these videos - I really enjoy them - after 30/30 pink was over I was like - oh no - no daily dose of Maria - what am I going to do and these are tiding me over nicely until the next 30/30 (or whatever) kicks off! HEY MARIA, YOU'RE DOING GREAT!!! 🥰🥰🥰Major the Cat just walked in and says hello. 😻😻😻
You are so sweet. ♥️🥰 I am going to have to play around with this UV ink some more. And also maybe I'm wrong about it. Hahaha I don't mind TOO much about the binder thing, since I'm only doing my bottles of ink. So eventually it won't move around much.
@@MariaRosseau 🥰🥰🥰
I had to write the name (Maboroshi) on my Tono & Lims Kaleidoscope Pure ink box, because the name was written only in Korean.
Oh very smart. I did that with my Birmingham inks, I'll have to do that with this. Or maybe learn Hangeul. 😅
