I’m catching up SLOOOOWLY. But wanted to stop by to say that baked goods normallly can freeze very well. Bake and freeze to enjoy for days to come! Thank you for rhe pinks. I am enjoying very much
It’s the opposite of crime scene ink…bubble gum happy. Lovely month…exactly. The best thing about all of the things is that when we open our planners/journals/notes…they make us happy to see them.
Survived a Monday AND half a Tuesday - despite the usual kurfufles. I've been playing with a jetpens highlighter order while watching your 30 pinks - it would have been here yesterday except the PO attempted to get me to pay duties twice. Oh well, they wouldn't be the PO if they weren't messing up would they? Happy Monday!
Another nice pink! Pink is OK. I like more muted pinks and not the girly pinks (maybe because, like you, I rebel against stereotypes about what females are supposed to like and do). And, yes, as adults we can like more than one thing! I’m excited that you’re planning to do teal, aqua, and blue!! 💙
TEAL, AQUA, AND BLUE!!! OH YEAH!!! CAN'T WAIT!!! I'm a sucker for teal / aqua / turquoise inks. I'm not a big fan of pink but I am still enjoying this series as it's entertaining and calming. I did recommend your video on Seven Deadly Sins "GREED" to a work pen friend this morning. She was debating between GREED and another Diamine color I can't recall. Told her to go see your vid on it as I remembered it being kinda over the top glittery. Today's pink seems like a nice, this is the color I think of when I think pink type of pink. Someday I need to figure out Sailor's Numbering System. Seems odd. Hey Maria, you're doing great! 🥰🥰🥰
Thanks for the kind words. Yes, Greed is VERY full of shimmer, though you can limit the amount a bit by not agitating the bottle. I hope we get to see a few months of teals. 🥰😍 I think the number system is such that the last two digits are like, the color, and the first is the intensity. Like 130 and 430 are the same except 130 is lighter? Don't remember where I got that idea from though. 😅
@@MariaRosseau INTERESTING!!! I need to look into this numbering system. That's a good tip on letting the glitter settle out. I've done that with some J. Herbin inks like "Emerald du Chivor" (probably spelled wrong!) and their "Kyanite de Nepal" (again probably wrong spelling...too lazy to dig the bottles out to get it right). Then when I want extra glitteriness, I shake shake shake to ensure it all gets mixed back up!
I am new to this game and already have collected a lot of pink. That's my color ❤ I have 5 of these ordered. I'd like to hear your opinion on Ferris Wheel inks.
Welcome to fun of inks! 🩷 I only own one ink from FWP and I plan on passing it on to someone else. They don't seem to be the right brand for me, though I have friends that like them. 🥰
I am sure there are many like me, I am not a fan of pink. I am a fan of you and your always entertaining videos. I think your teal or aqua theme will end up costing me money 😂😂😂
Aww you are so sweet. 🥰 I find myself sometimes getting drawn to colors that others like a lot because their enthusiasm is contagious. Probably why I have so many purple inks. 😅🤣
I'm curious too - poking around the webbernet suggests it is a way to remove oil, by burning it off. Seems like residual oil can cause ink feed issues? I would like to know more on this!
This dip nib relies on the ink being able to coat it, sort of, so the ink can travel down the tines to the tip. Dip pen inks are usually a bit thicker, so they are better at that than fountain pen inks, which are quite watery in comparison. Any oil on the nib makes it resist holding onto the ink, so instead of an even feed of the ink you'll just get blobs of it. There is more than one way to get rid of the oils. Some people stick the nib into a potato, and others will wipe it down with alcohol. I like doing a quick burn - it's easy and since I have candles I always have a way to light them.
This is another excellent pink! And pawning things off on coworkers is the best! 🤘🏼😸🧡🖋
I think this one might be one of my favorites. 😍

It's true! That's why I have a hard time getting rid of my pink hair. It's just so nice to see it in the mirror. 😅🥰

I keep making carts at Jetpens with stuff I'm thinking of. 😅
Hola Maria! These pinks definitely look different depending on the paper that you use. Hana Ikada and Cherry Blossom are still my favs.💜
Those two inks are lovely! And yes! Paper choice is so important for many reasons, color being one of them. 🥰

@@bethcunningham4346 it's funny to me how my feelings toward pink have changed. Though I suppose I did always like that Lisa Frank hot pink. 😅🤣

Totally ditto here! Not a pink fan, but I'm a Maria fan. Plus I am SURE that the teal / aqua / blue series will cost me some coin...

That series is going to cost me, too, if only in sample cost. 😅
@@MariaRosseau Lamy Beryl is like that for me - it's a nice color, and when I look at it and I write with it, it makes me happy.
This one is flamingo pink at the start. This is shaping up nicely.
I really love today's ink. So far it's the one most tempting me to buy a bottle. 🥰
@@MariaRosseau I can see why. very interesting and different
Relatively new to the game. So forgive my possibly silly question. What is the purpose of burning the nib?
