      Nissan/unicarrier BX trucks are solid electrics.... not alot of failures good hitachi controllers.

    I agree with the vortec Hysters are more trouble than they're worth but the Perkins diesels hold up. The ones I take care of take 15W40 in the transmissions. The more Toyotas I work on, the more I like them. I tend to hate anything that I'm not used to working on.

      @@rogerthomas1982 I agree, Perkins are bullet proof. Toyota is like none other, you actually enjoy working on them. Not too complicated

      @@theforkliftguyI love to hate the vortecs… I have a 2012 cat 12k cushion tire forklift that I love for its capacity but has the dumb 4.3 vortec in it. Sucks ass. I hate the Toyota engine in the bigger units, 7k to 12 k capacity they just never seem to run right ever

    I have about 40+ Komatsu's on my accounts & can honestly say I've never had major issues. But, I will say check every nut & bolt if pre-inspecting a new truck. Hardware comes loosy goosy from the factory 😂

    How about Kalmar? I have a few older 30,000 lb capacity Kalmars with volvo diesel engines that I really like. We are upgrading to a newer 30K capacity forklift and am trying to avoid clarks and hysters but not very many used Kalmars out there.

      @@noahfigueroarealestateagent yes, kalmars are super reliable forklifts. I think they are the same as Komatsu’s. Same platform

    Manitou is very popular on forklifts and telehandlers in Europe and I belive are reliable. How reliable? IDK I'm very happy with my 2003 Toyota series 7 2.5l diesel engine with 18780h

    Daewoo was bought out by doosan. They share the same engine in lots of models.
    Also if you ever see a bobcat forklift it’s just a rebranded doosan. Same forklift different paint job

    I like Toyotas… my all time favorite. My second pick would be unicarrier, or cat/mitz. But watch out on those as far as electrical issues sometimes, like corrosion in the wiring.

      @@theforkliftguy yeah I’ve fixed two cats already where the customer was complaining of everything being dead when it ran just fine before that. Both lifts it was corrosion on that harness down below the battery that runs up to the positive post.

      Brake parts cleaner. A lot cheaper to buy it in 5 gallon jugs and then I throw it in that sprayer.

    Did you grease the new seals and o-rings with ep grease?
    Always a go to for me since the first few ones i did a re-seal on broke because lack of lubrication when re-installing.
    The hydraulic oil dosent work good enough to lubricate when installing.
    Just a tip if that`s the case for less warranty claims. :)

      @@theforkliftguy basically the same grease used for the steering axle and tilt cylinders and so on. "universal grease"

      My go to place right now. Once I get my own TVH account, I’ll only need to go there for specific Toyota parts. Gary is awesome, but he’s retiring this year 😭

      I will say that old Clarks are bullet proof. Stay away from the newer ones though lol

    Recently picked up a customer with a bunch of crown CG-9’s for PM’s. These CG-9’s are crown branded doosans that have Mitsubishi Power Solutions Industrial engines in them. Just to do an oil change on one is a freaking mess. Not enough room to get a pan underneath, got to put the whole thing on blocks. When draining the oil, the pan is up against the frame and goes everywhere. I used a piece of plastic to guide the oil into a catch pan. But other than that, I’d say they are pretty smooth running trucks. Keep up the videos man, it’s great to learn from other lift techs and see what you encounter out in the field!

    I'm not a forklift service tech by any means. I am though, a highly skilled operator. I treat my reach truck like it's my own vehicle. Well for 12 hours a day it is. What are some tips you might have for us operators to help reduce damage risks to the hydraulic controls?

    I love cat trucks but their parts are dang expensive in the IC truck world.
    I love Raymond trucks for electric personally. Really tech friendly and all electric truck parts are expensive.

    I used to work for crown, now work for Toyota. I couldn’t agree with your list more, especially with shyster/gayle being the worst of all

      i'll make a separate video about electric trucks here pretty soon. But as a teaser, I'm a big fan of crowns. I think they are the best to learn from if you're just getting into the industry. I also think their repair manuals and electrical schematics are the easiest to understand. I wouldn't say they are my favorite though 😅

      @@ShortyDewOp13 having trouble diagnosing. I applied a whole new brake. And still have the same code.

      @@ToolProductions3 Check all the associated wiring to do with the brake. The wiring going to the brake, a lot of times you'll have broken wires where they are ziptied to the bracket. Could have wiring issues with the deadman switches, fuse/relay card (relay could be bad) or vehicle manager (bad pin or connection).

      @@ShortyDewOp13 I swapped a fuse relay card off a good OP and the issue is still there. I’ve replace the wiring harness from the brake and also replaced the brake with a new one and have been shimming the brake. Only thing left would be the deadman wiring. But it seems to be working fine whenever I press on it. Only leaves the VM.

      I’m a fan of crowns. I’ve made a few videos on fixing them. I used to work on them all the time. Very easy to learn and the troubleshooting process is simple as well.

      I am a tech at Crown and worked on Crown branded Doosans. Cooling system is no bueno.
