      @ that brings up a lot of questions…is there another diagnostic tool that covers this many brands and models in the material handling industry? What is the price in comparison? How much would it cost for all the OEM tools to cover the same amount? Can you even get the OEM tools?

    • @theforkliftguy
      @theforkliftguy  19 днів тому

      @@wholefleetdiag if you know the right people, you can get OEM tools at a fraction of the cost. I think Jaltest is headed in the right direction, just not there yet by any means.

    I've never heard of this tool thanks for showing it. This looks like a great tool to collect live data and error codes from a variety of trucks all packaged in one. im definitely going to look into buying one of these.

      Just keep in mind it’s not all the same for every forklift. Some makes and models have more information then others. It all depends on what you work on the most. As of right now, it’s worked great for hysters/Yale

    at 11:05 you are talking about a 3 PIN to OBD cable. Will it work if I plug an OBD device using this connector, to collect data in the cloud? Will it work if I don't use a laptop instead?

    Yo Elmer, you need a special lap top like this tough book or i can get the software on a regular HP and just buy the tool, does it come with the wires to hook up?
    For what makes and models?
    If you were to change the display i know it comes in blank you think you can program it with this?

      So I actually ordered a new display from Yale and it already comes programmed. As far as the computer, it doesn’t have to be a tough book but it’s what everyone recommends. You can get them on Amazon refurbished for less than $500. As far as the software, it’s not the best in my opinion. It’s super expensive for what they offer. You have to buy individual cables and I don’t use it enough to justify the price. Again, it all depends on what kind of makes and models you work on.

    Definitely glad I saw this. Kit sucks. For 6k you have about 1/4 of things you can do. And in all reality 90% you can pull a code from most trucks and once you get that you have another 90 percent chance you can find code off internet, or groups.

      @@theforkliftguy yes please do so that’ll be very appreciated. I work in an industrial plant and we have a bunch of electric Hyster stand up models and order pickers . It’s kind of frustrating coming from automotive and heavy equipment where you have all the diagnostic software or disposal to a world where everything is highly proprietary and having no way of thoroughly diagnosing and given your management a definitive answer. The Hyster dealer that we use one guy told me there is a customer version available of Hyster software. The GM for those dealer said absolutely not

    • @theforkliftguy
      @theforkliftguy  Рік тому +2

      It depends where you buy it from. I bought mine from diesel laptops. I already had my own laptop, so it was around $6000 with the connectors and the program. Mind you it also includes the license and it’s good for a year. So after a year you’ll have to renew the license, I just charge my customer a diagnostic fee. I have to use my laptop and the software.
