Short swords & tomahawks are where its at. I prefer a Kindjal myself but a modded ginunting is plenty good enough. Lol

Very nice knife, almost as good as the Pohl Force editions. The only setback are the relatively sharp corners at the finger guard. But is is beautiful and usable. Thumbs up to Sylvester Stallone being a great actor!

Old gerber knifes i like new ones not so mucho

One knife that Gerber should have kept on making.. even without the back saw this model was truly functional as a survival tool and a weapon.. wished they could bring it back into production..

Great review of a classic folder. When it came out I had three different models. The AT34 Stone wash with full finger grooves (as above) I had an ATS 34 carbon fiber with black blade which I sold. Later I acquired the holy grail of the Sifu 1of 50 red G10 handles "Blade Forums edition" in D2. I had a friend that had the other limited edition model with no finger grooves just the front choil ...very cool mega folders from yesteryear.

I have exact the same knife, 100% exact copy of the knife used in the movie. Mine is only piece in Finland and it goes by the name Signature Edition with authentic certificate.

Hello, I know that this video isn’t exactly new, but I’m hoping that you can help me out, as you have the only video about the Bounty on UA-cam. I’ve almost pulled the trigger on this sword several times, but the blade steel has stopped me each time. I’m a fan of the aesthetics, and it’s looks to be a nicely balanced sword, but I’d hate to buy something with a chippy blade, or something with very poor edge retention. I’m used to 1095 or 3v for my large choppers and machetes, and it scares me to spend this much for something close to 440. That said, I have one of Skallywag’s D2 daggers, and they did an excellent job with that tool steel, so I’m hopeful...and I do realize that this isn’t exactly made for going out and chopping logs. I’m not sure if you’ve field tested yours out, but I’d love to hear your thoughts, or see another video. Thank you...

Excellent knife. A mistake I see a lot of no filipino bladesmiths make is treating it like a big kerambit. Traditionally, they're actually made quite thin and with a curved blade. These are the types often used to process green coconuts. The fighting variant is heavier with a thicker spine and a forward point. The forward point is achieved on the fighting variant (used by the marine corps) by tilting the entire blade relative to the axis of the handle. Highly curved blades are much more difficult to draw. Also, the point should be rather robust. Sharp, but like a pointed spike more than a knife. Lastly, the balance should be slightly forward which is usually achieved with a hidden tang. Personally I prefer full tangs, so try to drill out the tang before adding the scales. Your blade is awesome and I can assure you any Filipino man would love to own it. Consider checking out "1500" blades here on UA-cam and on Facebook. They usually don't export, but I'm sure they can direct you to someone who can. Damn good stuff they make.

Now, thats a "bone crusher" for sure! Great knife as Gerber produces high quality cutlery at a reasonable price. In the USA!!
