- This is a quick review of the Skallywag Tactical - The Bounty blade. This is a mega sized blade ideal for wilderness use, self defense and if one is interested in backyard cutting, then this is the blade for you.

In these crazy times this blade seems more practical than ever.
It’s the giga-chad version of the Gunnersmate…don’t have a use for it, but it does make you want to find one.
I have one in satin finish, love it took the place of the Machete I keep by my night table for when things go bump in the night!
Scallywag describes it as kind of a modified kukri. But to my sensibilities it is a modern Greek Kopis. The blade and the handle, all Kopis looking to me.
I agree. It totally handles more like a Kopis vs a traditional Khukris.
Thanks for watching!
i can see both the kukri and the bowie elements in it's design.
Wow... very nice... never seen this one before.
Thanks for the looky.
I love all my skallywag knives
Thanks for watching!
Love mine!
Which finish did you get? I was planning on the silver one at first, but decided to go with the black one.
Thanks for watching!
I got one of each
thats sick
Hello,
I know that this video isn’t exactly new, but I’m hoping that you can help me out, as you have the only video about the Bounty on UA-cam.
I’ve almost pulled the trigger on this sword several times, but the blade steel has stopped me each time.
I’m a fan of the aesthetics, and it’s looks to be a nicely balanced sword, but I’d hate to buy something with a chippy blade, or something with very poor edge retention. I’m used to 1095 or 3v for my large choppers and machetes, and it scares me to spend this much for something close to 440. That said, I have one of Skallywag’s D2 daggers, and they did an excellent job with that tool steel, so I’m hopeful...and I do realize that this isn’t exactly made for going out and chopping logs.
I’m not sure if you’ve field tested yours out, but I’d love to hear your thoughts, or see another video.
Thank you...
Thanks for watching the vid. I have used my Bounty in the field. More for camp duties. I have cut various wood for camp fire and the edge did hold. No chipping. It does have some mass, so definitely, not for machete uses. If you are really concerned, and want a survival/ bush sword... I'd recommend this.

It will cost a lot more though.
Nice choice
Thanks! And thanks for watching!
the hilt looks like it's too long for 1 hand but too short for 2 hands.
The handle is just right for both my large hands. Even with just using one hand, is fine.
Falcs falcatta yataghan type of blade, falchion, design
That’s not a machete that’s a fucking spartan sword🤣🤣🤣
