I've been waiting weeks for a delivery of top soil to finish filling the No-Dig raised beds at the allotment garden. Finally we can get this garden project finished! It's time to put the raised bed project.. to bed!
It may be January, but we are still busy at the allotment, sowing hardy crops such as cabbage, onion, beetroot. And sowing peppers and aubergines at home. I'm tidying the plot for spring, and getting DIY projects finished.
I like to get these big projects done during the winter when nothing is growing.
The allotment now consists of mostly No-Dig wooden raised beds now due to the soil being very heavy clay yielding poor results last year.
I'm going to get cracking filling these beds before storm eowyn hits on Friday!
