I know that this guide is old and so the chances of you responding is low, but I've tried out this guide as someone who is relatively new at fallout 4 (have plenty experience in NV, but not in 4), and I've noticed that in many of the combats depicted I tend to be more inaccurate than you with guns (and therefore use up a lot more bullets). which makes it harder to have a reasonable surplus. As such, if a player finds themselves running low on bullets at any point during the run, is there anywhere you would recommend stopping by to restock?

Local Leader is S-tier. Supply lines, build crafting stations, set up stores, clinics, etc. I know not everyone is into settlement building, but LL being absolutely essential for those who do build settlements makes it an S-tier

Pretty horrible list. The weapon perk damage bonuses all should be S tier. They are necessary cause of how good they are aswell as able to level em up pretty quickly. Gunsmith = S tier. Why? Because weapons can have alot of mods crafted on them and weapons is what makes your playthrough. More so than armor. Sneak = S tier no doubt. Come on man...

S or A teir perks are all the crafting perks besides chemist(for modifications),scrapper,idiot savant,tough body,life giver,solar,powered,rad resistant,aquaboy(i use this all the time),medic,strong back,lone wanderer(it works with dogmeat),putting any of those below that is criminal

Nice video. Just started my very first survival run (lvl 10 atm) and I only got like around 450-ish hours in the game. Although the "Overseer's Guardian" is a great weapon, I would argue with you that the BEST and most OP weapon in the entire game (especially on survival mode) would be the: "Pray and Spray" while it absolutely schreds anything and everything. Wether you face a horde of feral ghouls, a Putrid Glowing One, a Legendary Supermutant Warlord, Synth Coursers, Mirelurk Queen or a Legendary Sentrybot Annihilator, the "Pray and Spray" wrecks them all. lol As far as perk go, I am going with: Lone Survivor, Lead Belly, Aqua Boy <<- (very important), Demolition Expert (to increase explosive damage of Pray & Spray even more) :D

Ricochet is F-tier. It has way too many requirements to proc and has way too low of a proc chance. You need to have less than 90% HP and the enemy shooting you needs to have either less than 40% HP or less than 100 HP total for it to even have a chance to trigger. For context the lowest level gunners and super mutants have 120 HP.

How the hell gun nut isnt A tier? Is needed at least like 60% of the builds, ik you can buy weapons but they arent all that great without the most powerful attachments

Strong Back is easily S tier for people who pick up EVERYTHING they see(me for example)

I like to wear power armor most of the time so for me vans is very useful when in a building and you don’t know how to get to the marker, I’d put it in C or at least D but the 2nd rank is a terrible I will agree.

Playing on Survival though will make you re-evaluate what perks to take. Maxing Life Giver and Toughness makes a difference quite signifficantly, just to name a few

Great guide. Only things I would add: 1- You can buy spray and pray from Cricket, it is very common to bump into her on her route between Diamond City and Vault 81, as you did, might also find her in bunker hill. 2- While getting all the side missions in Diamond City you can also haggle with Ellie at Nick's agency for some extra caps and the persuasion Exp. 3- Just doing the interview with Piper gives decent Exp and you can do it as soon as you enter Diamond City.

I appreciate the respect given to Robotics Expert. It trivializes an entire enemy type. If you use a Stealth Boy, or sneak, you can get close to Sentry Bots/Assaultrons and hack them to destroy everything around them.

You should do an addict run, rules are as follows, take chems as you find them and stack addictions,you must actively search for new chems you have not tried, must start at STR 1 and INT 1and level your way to chemist, if you dont want the negatives of your habit. You can also take party boy, though seems cheaty is perfect for the playstyle, take your int down and bring your str up. Hope to see you soon twonky a bew set of fallout players needs you!

“Now obviously pickpocket goes in-“ “S?” “F… no D.” Maybe I have a weird playstyle? But I pickpocket literally everyone I see clean. Not a single brotherhood knight can use their armor for more than 20 seconds if I’m around cause I take their power cells and then strip the armor clean. To be fair, I save scum when I pickpocket anyway so technically I don’t need any points in that perk, but i always go to level 2 or 3 so I almost never actually have to reload. Oh also it gives you an absurd amount of money and ammo.

I’m never gonna waste another point on iron fist - during my recent play through I was like “wow swans power fist kicks ass” and put several points into it, until inevitably realizing that I had plateaued because it’s literally the best unarmed weapon in the entire game, and since I’ll never use it again I’m essentially 2-3 levels down from where the game says I am. Been in power armor super sledge nirvana ever since. Makes me wish it had a respec system, or at least combined unarmed and melee into one category.

Talking about dopamine hits and shitting on Mysterious Stranger just does not add up :D Only perk i maxed out as soon as i realized what it is . I jumped into game with 0 knowledge about it n i must say, ive done everything complete opposite lol

Idiot is fine with no level cap, unlike every other Fallout where xp augments were HORRIBLE to take since that's another useful perk slot wasted.

I started with 10 luck and 1 intelligence and took Idiot Savant. I am level 29 now and in terms of it working when you complete a quest, I only got it once (when I completed the silver shroud quest), and if I remember correctly I think I levelled up like 2-3 times at once. But after that, I never got it to work at quest completion. I really don’t think it’s that worth it.

Dude, this is my first survival play and tried this at level 7-8. LOL! I was so scared of losing my poisoned cal traps in the river that i just swam across over encumbered. Then my mod list dropped my frames hard at Bunker Hill (nerve racking)! Was super fun pulling this off for the gear though. Only thing i would add for survival noobs is that bunker hill has only floor mattresses for rent, so for a good sleep after, there's apartment next to the USS Constitution with good beds.

Giving B tier to fast reload perk is heresy when You think of how well it pairs with slow-mo drugs like jet.

One tip for new players who struggle with the deathclaw in Concord, you can just build out Red Rocket first with turrets and then run the deathclaw into them, easy-peasy.

You missed a couple safes and the SPECIAL mag in Sanctuary. You didn't explain why you skipped talking to Codsworth as well.
