Situated about a 15 minute drive ( or 20 minute bus ride on bus 42 which stops opposite it on Tavistock Road ) from Plymouth City Centre this hotel offers great value acommodation in my opinion. I missed out a couple of points in the video: The hotel is situated next to a busy road, but I did not hear anything from the room. It was well sound proofed. It is about a mile and a half from Derrifor...

Its the only place in the world where you can wander through the heart of a huge colony of mute swans. Lovely day. The tall flowers were hollyhocks.
Ahh lovely Clevedon, visited many times for the day when I lived in the midlands. Enjoyed watching your walk. 😊
Louise I am extremely disappointed with you today, there was no comedy classic moments much to professional that’s got to stop😂😂😂also it’s so much better when you get tired and the routes a killer with lots of hills, that’s when you get all discombobulated and the laughs begin😂😂😂I am so cruel, I do apologise😂in all seriousness 13 miles for our pleasure well done and I hoped you enjoyed Majorca👍
Fantastic video, looks like a great walk 👍👍
The Owl in the Oak looks like a fabulous spot to stop for refreshments. Such a beautiful area - I enjoyed seeing your walk and the cows and that cute foal. Sorry to hear about your receiver taking a dip in the river but the sound was still fine. Great walk, Louise!
ice cream ☑ blue sky ☑ sea ☑ piers ☑ lovely walk ☑ cute animals ☑ Well, this video ticks all the right boxes...... Excellent! Sorry your receiver ended up in the River Yeo though....but it didn't spoilt the rest of the video. Lovely sweet peas bunches by the road side. Good to know that there is an informative board about the Weston, Clevdon and Portishead Railway and that this new trail follows part of the route. That foal was just so cute! Great video Louise. Thank you.
I haven't been on that walk yet but this video is telling me to do it at some point. I get unsure about directions so you video was helpful😅😊
Thank you! Really pleased you found it helpful. I often struggle with directions too, but this was really well signposted. I hope you enjoy it when you do it. 🤗
@@SouthWestSundays it looks really lovely so will be nice to do something different and manageable😊. Thankyou!
What a wonderful and beautiful place!
Lovely Louise, i will take a look at this at some point. Thanks for Sharing👌👍👍

Fabulous skies
Another Lovely video Louise👌👍👍
Thank you!
🙂 good idea Louise. 🦶🦶
I was wondering if you were going to do a live?? You could always start by doing a live of your feet!
Haha!! I did a live with Andrew from Loving Life Mallorca the other day on his show the other fay. I must try to share the link somewhere. I have not watched it back. We walked around Can Picafort at sunset.vi have never done a live before.
I saw Andrew's video & you did really well.
@faithg9766 Ah! Thank you!
That is beautiful, what a wonderful experience.
It was so lovely! So refreshing!
Lovely Video, fair play too you!👍👍
Thank you 🤗
We ended up settling in on Totnes for our visit to South Devon next month, and going by your video, it wasn't a bad idea! Looking forward to exploring the town. Thank you! 😊
Ah brilliant!! I hope you really enjoy your stay there and exploring the town and the wider area. Louise
The steam train was so awesome! That was a great area to watch it go by with that bridge, but it sure didn't slow down! Those moths remind me of the Police Car Moths that we have in open fields around here except ours are black and white. Very cool sighting. I enjoyed seeing this area - it was lovely. It was a bit odd to see the steam engine at the back. Hope you're having a great week, Louise!
Thank you Donna!! Lovely comment! Love that name you have for similar moths - ‘Police Car Moths’! Yes, it did look quite unusual seeing the steam engine at the back. I think they had signal problems and been unable to get it to the front. Unfortunately that is what made it an hour late. I am having a really nice week thank you!
Oh brilliant! So good to see Louise! Glad you have managed to do a collab too!
Thank you Paul! It’s so fascinating meeting up with others who do UA-cam and chatting about our experiences.
So glad you are having a great time, it's certainly hot over there at the moment.
Had a little cabin in the woods years ago and a lovely connection with mother Mary in the beach chapel cave xx
Look at you Louise sunning it up, hope you are having a great time👍roll on the videos being uploaded they are going to be classics I can feel it😂
❤❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍
Great video, we did this last year before i started making video's, it was lovely to reminisce. Thank you!😊😊😊
Fabulous video, the plants are called bears britches, Polpero looks very nice 👍
Thanks so much Clara 🤗
Such a delightful video Louise. I so enjoyed watching the steam train blasting through. So exciting! The Salty Dog is so cool with the free cake 🍰 nice incentive! A lovely coastal walk with beach in between. Just perfect! 😊
Thank you Amanda! I enjoyed watching the stream train too! I was so pleased to find it was going through that day! Yes, the Salty dog really is cool. It’s in such a perfect location too!
yes, a quiet Natural beach is perfect, also love the noise of the train in the background, so peaceful 👍
yes, can't beat it!
A lovely relaxing video, thank you!👌👍
Thank you! 🤗
Great video. I don't comment much but I do watch every video you do and they are really looking more professional. I also like the thumbnail of your recent videos , like a postcard. I think that will bring more views in 🙂 I like how simple your vids are too.
Thank you Shirley! That’s such lovely feedback. I really appreciate it. Thanks so much for watching too 🤗 Louise
Thank you Louise 🙂. I especially liked the Teignmouth harbour / back beach scene at the end. Did the 🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚 enjoy their walk? 😁
Thank you Cathy! I think they did!! They survived in my backpack without cracking and were really very delicious! I had some in an omelette that evening!
What a brilliant walk, the views were amazing. You really punished yourself with the steep slopes & steps. Hope your chips weren't stolen by the seagulls.
Haha! Thanks Faith!! They did not get a look in! Except for when I filmed, they were tightly under wraps with me just pulling out one at a time! Yes, those steps and slopes were sooo steep. Next week’s walk is alot flatter. I was grateful as I filmed it a couple of days later! I filmed a very watery walk this morning too!
Nice informative video. I actually live in the Redruth area, but I get down to walk from Penzance to Newlyn regularly. Newlyn is my favourite place to be❤️
Thanks so much! It is a really nice place. I need to return to that area again! I really enjoyed it.
Those are Burnet moths
Thank you Sally! That’s really helpful! I have not heard about them before.
How beautiful Louise! ❤️😊
It is 🤗 Thank you!
Beautiful walk. We are coming back to our beloved Shaldon in 3 weeks time. Will definitely be doing the same walk but from Teignmouth to Dawlish.
Oh nice!! Hope you have a really fantastic time! It’s a really nice walk 🤗
Hi Louise, another beautiful and lovely Video to watch, i love steam trains, thank you! 👌👍👍
Thank you so much! Really pleased you enjoyed it 🤗
Hi Louise, another great video. What fabulous weather. We are getting some summer at last. Really enjoyed watching. Hope you are having a lovely weekend. Best wishes Dave and Dawn ❤️
Thank you Dave and Dawn! It’s so nice to see summer! ☀️☀️ I am having a very relaxing weekend thank you! Made a bit of a different video while out and about today.
Hello Louise. I've always liked the Dawlish area, having spent several holidays in that area many moons ago. Well done for filming the steam train going towards Plymouth. You picked a good vantage point for that. Unfortunately, they never look as good when they are being dragged backwards. I doubt if there is any possibility of turning an engine anywhere in that area. But I do like a lady who appreciates trains, especially one who will spend two hours waiting. How did you get back. Is there a station at Teignmouth? Take care of yourself xx
Ah! Thank you! I heard later that it was due to a signalling problem that the engine could not go at the front on the way back and that was also the cause of the hour’s delay. Yes, there’s a station at Teignmouth. I had quite a late night as I stayed watching the sunset for ages 🤣
Good morning Louise, great video, to capture the Sir Nigel Gresley steam engine must have been very exciting. The black and red moth is the Cinnabar moth. Keep the videos coming, looking forward to next weeks adventure already, John.
Thank you John! Yes! There was a real sense of anticipation and excitement waiting for the Sir Nigel Gresley engine to pass! Thanks so much for watching and for identifying the moths! Much appreciated!
Wow! You had a wonderful viewpoint from the footbridge of the steam train (Sir Nigel Gresley) Louise! And the other bridge filming the GWR IET entering Kennaway Tunnel. Well done for supporting local independent businesses. I think those big construction vehicles were working on the railway - shoring up the embankments from sea erosion. Such a lovely and very relaxing walk - really enjoyed 'walking' with you. Glad the Salty Dog Cafe (with free cake!) is still there. I admired your tenacity waiting for the steam train again on its return run! All in all a fab view! Oh, and thanks for mentioning your Facebook Group - I am filming today - it was a reminder to mention mine again too! Brilliant! Paul
Thank you Paul! So much useful information in that lovely comment. Really pleased you enjoyed this really relaxing walk and all the scenery along the way! The Salty Dog is a real treat on getting to that point of the walk. 🐶
Hi Louise. Another fantastic video. I live in Newton Abbot, just up river from Teignmouth so visit regularly. I also have a real passion for the South West Coast path. I can highly recommend your intended walk from Teignmouth to Babbacombe. It certainly gets the heart pumping!! The construction works just outside Dawlish are an extension to one of the railway tunnels to prevent rock fall on the tracks. It has been going on for some time now and you can see it from the sea wall at Dawlish. Look forwatd to the next video
Thanks so much Richard - that’s really helpful information! Really appreciate you taking the time to share that. Ooo.. I like the sound of the Teignmouth to Babbacombe section. It will be nice to join it up as I have walked to Torquay town from Babbacombe last year.
Good morning Louise firstly I was in Dawlish myself that day it’s a wonder I never saw you especially as you are now famous😆, I would have loved to have brought you a coffee😁now back to business and it’s your first classic of the day, it’s very humid today can you tell by how things are looking in the pictures😂😂😂honestly Louise that is truly hilarious😂😂😂😂in regards the train I just knew it was going to be late😂😂, sorry I should not laugh but it just makes your videos better👍The thing is you have no idea how funny you are and I mean that in a good way😁👍roll on next Sunday👋
Ah! It’s a shame I missed you! That’s such a kind thought about the coffee. Haha!! I can almost predict now the things that I say accidentally etc that will raise a smile! I love that i make people smile! I made a very different video this morning away from the South West. There are some quite comical moments in that! I imagine I will probably put that one out in a few weeks time as next week’s is already edited and scheduled.
@@SouthWestSundays well Louise whenever you are next in Paignton I am taking you to my regular coffee shop to buy you one! 👍I can then tell everyone I know a famous you tuber😂
@BB49. Ah!! That’s so lovely!! Thank you!!
Thank you so much for the coffee gift you sent on Buy Me A Coffee! I am not at home and don’t have my log in details to thank you on there, so here is the only place I can thank you! That’s so kind and much appreciated!
Good morning. Just back from my early morning walk- and I got rained on! Unexpected bonus on this sticky warm morning. What an unusual pathway along the tracks and water on the other side. Lovely. Just in time for the train..wow. Just love how you can watch the trains 'from above. Great shot of the bee on that thistle. Absolutely gorgeous walk- Love the 'soldiers' as we call them - the red bugs on the plant. Lots of ups and downs- a great work out. The bench seat would be most welcome and often used I'm sure. Commenting as I watch...just such a lovely walk.Indeed very green and 'rain-foresty".You deserved that drink and snack. Ever since I read the book The Salt Path by Raynor Winn I've been intrigued by the coast path. Loving the trains. Stunning view @12:35. A great reward- chips! Yum. I found your channel a while ago. A great find. Glad I saw this video come online this morning. Most enjoyable watch. Thank you. 👌🇳🇱🙋♀🥝
Thanks so much!! That’s such a very lovely comment and much appreciated 🤗
Excellent review. Many thanks
Thank you! My pleasure!

Thank you 🤗
Great video, i am off down that way myself next week and you have a new sub 👍

@@SouthWestSundays Ahh Thank you so much, my video's are not as professional as yours 😊😊
Hope you had the shortbread at the mill! The best I've ever had
Ooo.. I must try that some time!
Beautiful countryside with rolling hills, lovely ancient churches, coastal views, what a perfect day!
It really was so gorgeous!
I feel silly, but I've never heard of a swannery before! 🙈
I hadn’t either Dara! I really like the term though 🦢🦢🦢🦢
@@SouthWestSundays yes! Me too
Looks like a great hike to go on, Louise and some fantastic scenery along the way. Tenting is enjoyable and changes things when you don't have to rush home for the night. I enjoyed seeing your journey and hearing the info about the places.
Thank you Donna! I really hope to do more tenting too. It was really enjoyable.
