Trains on the Kate Shelley High Bridge, a.k.a. Boone Viaduct, near Boone Iowa
Located approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) west of Boone, Iowa, the Kate Shelley High Bridge, spans the Des Moines River valley and is one of the highest and longest double-track railroad bridges in the United States.
The old bridge was called the Boone Viaduct when it was completed in 1901.
The new bridge is 2,813 feet (857 m) long and 190 feet (58 m) high.
Union Pacific constructed the new double track concrete and steel bridge next to the old span from 2006 to 2009. The bridge was lengthened 160 feet (49 m) to the east due to instability of the bank caused by heavy rains in the Spring of 2008.
The bridge opened to traffic on August 20, 2009, when the UP ran its first train across the new span. The UP officially named the new viaduct the Kate Shelley Bridge.
The new bridge is longer and slightly taller than the original. As you can see here, the original bridge was left in place.

Crop Dusting with a drone, Spraying a corn field with a drone. Entire Field.

Modern farming. Spraying a corn field with a drone (Agras T40). Showing the entire process to spray a 7.5 acre field. The drone holds about 10 gallons per fill up. Notice there is minimal waste or drift due to the "low and slow" nature of a drone vs. airplane. The irregular shape and proximity of trees of a filed like this makes it ideal for the agility of a drone. Thanks for watching!

It was time that such old bridges were and were replaced by new ones. But why do you HAVE to build a pillar in the middle of the river?? A weak point has been built in right away. Thanks for the video. Your drone shots are great. Greetings from Berlin/ Germany. Sven

A few years back got called for 1 AM stack train out of Boone to Fremont- blizzard conditions. They were stopping trains in certain locations due to High winds, but they weren’t stopping us which we thought odd so we took off started heading down the hill , since it was an Intermodal I was going to try to get up to 70 with no speed restrictions . The snow was blowing horizontally in our face couldn’t see anything but we figured we’d be OK since the wind was out of the west and were heading straight into it -if the wind had been coming out of the south, we probably would’ve protested on safety grounds and held until the Wind died down -however, when we got down to the valley and we’re going over the bridge, the wind had shifted to the south, which was a bit of an oh sh.t moment since we didn’t anticipate the shift because of The Valley so I leaned on the throttle in notch 8 to get across -once our head and got across the bridge, we breathed a sigh of relief -A friend of mine was on the cleanup crew when some Intermodal’s blew off the old bridge back in the 90’s
