Oh, I recently picked up The Frampton Flora book at a second hand bookstore thinking it would be great for trying my hand at drawing some of these images. What a gorgeous journal. I love all the original vintage pieces throughout the journal. I love the old and tattered look with the Victorian edge to it. Well done!! 😊

I also like Edith Holden The Nature Notes of an Edwardian Lady. Amazing book with beautiful images that she drew snd also wrote about. Her writing is also beautiful and the texture of the paper is matte and looks aged. My personal all time favourite

This is one extremely amazing journals for sure!

I have a hard time cutting out the flowers when there's one on each side that I like. I've never had an issue with anyone cutting up books to use in art project. Well, I've never seen anyone chop up a Tyndale 1st edition so they could use some of the pretty paper. :D That would give me definite pause. But flower books are fair game!

I recently rediscovered an antique book a friend gave me probably 20+ years ago. After I had already taken out some pages I decided to look it up, it’s selling for $300 😂 But it’s coming apart page by page for journals. 😉

Thank you Sara! That's all the books you have? Oh my word I wish I could say that!!!!! At this point between vintage magazines and books I have a few hundred! I'm totally a sucker for them. However I am on a mission to do a 6 month no buy! Only the glue, etc. must haves. You must have quite the self control. That is very admirable!

Im trying to watch the video but its hard to focus on the books when they are under fur when its a 100 degrees where i live.

Please keep on showing and making the tutorials. Wonderful to watch you work. I believe the first time I ever saw you Sara it was Christmas and you had made the wonderful umbrella for your son. What a fabulous tutorial. These are so cute! And let me just say, I love how real you are. I personally prefer the tutorials that are uncut. The ones that show the whole process, be it rummaging to find the right piece or making mistakes, because that's how we all craft. It's real, and I like that. Please continue to make them! ❤
