Love your work so much, Sara!!! You do such a good job demonstrating how you do your work and making it look so easy. Your beautiful journals are so inspiring! ❤❤❤
You are by far my favorite artist. The items you work with are beautiful and I really like the fact it doesn't look your supplies come from craft store kits, not that there is problem with that stuff. Your supplies looked resourced around one's home or thrift stores and upcycled. For someone like me it feels obtainable. Then there is your videoing style in my opinion is perfect. They are well balance of verbal instruction with silence instruction that stays focused on the project.
Fabulous again hun, I just love all the little details you do!! You put so much work into your journals! Love every single one I’ve seen so far! Thank you for the mention too🤗😘😘❤️
I typically do not comment on a lot of videos; however, I ABSOLUTELY LOOOOOVE EVERYTHING YOU MAKE! I am new to junk journaling ans still trying to find my "journaling technique " and anything you make is just so me! You're style is simple with so much FLAIR and elegance! Definitely will continue to watch you GROW! Thank you for all of your tutorials! Please make more!!! ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
Loving this series. Everything is so cool and unique. I love how u mix lace with metal. Love to see how you did the bow paper clip. Thank you for sharing your clever techniques with us and for keeping this very real. 😊
I'm in the process of making a 2025 junk journal to use as a diary at work and am definitely going to make some tags like this. Thank you for the inspiration ❤
Gorgeous 🥰 I love seeing bits and pieces in places they weren’t designed to go - like the jewellery piece you snipped, the cupcake case… (I could go on!) - so imaginative and inspiring. Thank you! 🥰
Love that paper clip bow would love to see a tutorial for it. Love watching the process of creating ephemera it gives me inspiration to try different styles. Thankyou Sara-Lee.
Hi Sara-Lee, these tags are gorgeous, like all your creations, but I have to say, I really love those old scissors, they so remind me of a pair I have from my late Mother, they were her fabric scissors, they don’t cut anymore as they went through a flood back in 2012, but I couldn’t throw them out they are just too special and I have a weird thing with scissors, I have so many pairs 😂, I have about 8 pairs on my desk alone, that’s not counting the one’s spread around the house, I know, I’m weird 🤪🤣. I’m loving this series and your unique style. Thanks for the visit 👍❤️🇦🇺🥰🤗
Hehe 😊 we all have something we can't resist! No judgement here! Thank you so much! I'm glad you're enjoying this series, haha it takes a lot of brain power 😆 for once I can't just do what I want when I want in my journal! As for the scissors, they are my old fabric scissors from Uni when I was doing my Bachelor of design with a fashion major! So good spotting!
I just started watching. Heard Sue’s Journal Adventures mentioned and then the eraser for the shiny stickers!! I was tickled. I had seen the info on some guy’s website (who works on model trains etc and hates shiny decals). I finally remembered to let Sue know about it and was very pleased when she did the video and IT WORKED! Now, I hear you mention the shiny sticker and eraser. I’m in Central Texas. This sure moved fast across the pond and down under. I’m anxious to see if you use the stickers and method. ❤❤ 😊 I did remember to tell her many years ago, in order to clean a pencil or ink “stained” eraser, I’d rub the eraser on my jeans. Nothing like pencil or ink streaks by an eraser. Although, pencils I’ve bought in recent years have terrible erasers. Thankfully I have a couple very cool and great erasers!! 😂❤
Aaaw it was you that was the "third party" thank you so much! Yes it worked and I used it in this video🥰 top tip! 💛💛💛 I watch every one of Sue's videos! I love her to bits and we've become fast friends 🥰
@ I did see you use the eraser and it worked for you too. Just too cool. Especially for Sue, I was glad it worked. But apparently she’s not the only one who dislikes the shine!! Glad it worked. 😮💨❤️👍
Hi Sara-Lee. Well I've had the old typewriter out - brilliant it's in desperate need of a new ribbon had to go over it 3 times to be able to read but that's OK Temu has them so all good I'll get one I'm lucky that it didn't sell at my garage sale years back. Have my tags and I love them even made some extras. Just need to chain up my cards from the previous video. Your speed is perfect you have no idea how many times I re-run your videos pausing and studying things as I'm working on these bits of ephemera. How you attach buttons has helped me with attaching some press studs which have 4 prongs I spear them onto paper and glue down, I had no idea on what to do with them but I've been able to add some on a couple of the tags. Thank you I'm loving the inspiration you give us.
Oh that’s so lovely to hear! I’m so glad you are finding the videos helpful 🥰 I've had to take a quick break to organise the craft/bed room as I was beginning to look like an actual hoarder and it was becoming harder and harder to find what I need, but I will make sure I get at least the next video up this weekend 🩷🩷🩷
@@sara-leearmstrong5009 I can relate to the not finding anything or it's buried under a heap of other stuff and you don't feel like digging. 🤣🤣shouldn't say things like that I work for a funeral home. Hope you do get to put out another video but that's OK if you don't. I crafted a lot then haven't crafted for 15-20 years then I saw something about Junk Journalling early this year and now is a compulsion a lovely one at that. Used to analyse and break down things myself but that part of the brain seems to be asleep and needs shaking or needs prompts from tutorials to get working. Sorry rambling on. Have a great weekend looks like another hot day here in Mid-North Coast NSW Aus the noise of the crickets even drowns out the noise of the highway.
Hi Sara-Lee, I have made my own copper/brass/antique metal staples by colouring the row of staples with 2 or 3 different brown toned and orange alcohol ink markers. They look like the real thing!
@@sara-leearmstrong5009 I've just used black texta but will try that thanks Sue. I distress my nice new shiny paperclips, brads and eyelets with a mixed of hand sanitiser and alcohol inks. I think it was on Crafty with Toni she mixed this up tossed in whatever you want to distress stir them around every couple of hours until it all dries and you have rustic grunged metal. Love the tags by the way Sara-Lee thank you..
IF I wait to comment, I’ll forget things. I think it was Pam of The Paper Outpost who taught that alcohol inks can be applied to regular staples to alter their coloring. (You mentioned not having coppery antiqued staples.). You have SO many neat ideas - and everything looks great! I’ve forgotten something. 😂❤
Smashing the Brad - great idea. The speed of the fast forward was just fine. The tags look “mah-va-lous”. Hopefully the spell checker didn’t redo my spelling of marvelous!! ❤
Lots of wonderful ideas for using tags in journals. Thank you again for sharing your process. I learned a few things and really like how you do your hidden paperclip tags. I think the balance of your fast forwarding and talking was great. I don't think I would change anything...... At one part in the video you talked about wanting to use rusty or brass looking staples but didn't have any and I wanted to let you know that you can easily make staples into different colors by using alcohol inks. You basically just take your common silver staples when they are still in the long bars and dab alcohol ink or use alcohol based markers on them. I think I have also seen crafters paint them. You can use any color of alcohol ink so to make brass looking ones you would just find that color of alcohol ink. The alcohol ink that I have used for this technique is from Ranger (Tim Holtz) but I think there are other brands out there. Thanks again for the video!
A few times I've looked for a font to match the old typewriters why did I not think of the old typewriter sitting down in the back shed, I really don't know were my brains have gone sometimes. @vanessasplace8690 hehe ikr! It's an Atlas that I picked up for $3! And it has beautiful brown paper for the index, it was definitely a unique find 🥰 it was in a little op shop in OtakI underneath the bottom of the bookshelf...I happily dragged that puppy out to give it a new life 😆
