Speaking from experience as a trainer who's had at least 200 unexpected dismounts over the years, there comes a time when you stop saying, "I'm fine!" And you take a little longer to get back on your feet. 😂 Luckily most of us learn how to meet the ground without breaking anything. LOL ✅️ I've always said that horses have a tremendous sense of humor! ❤❤❤ Thank goodness I can take a good prank and laugh with the best of them. 🤣🤣🤣

Why, if the horse is doing ALL the work, are you panting? Breathe through your nose into your diaphram. It is like you are nervous which would bother the horse.

Ah, the forward seat...

Went a little too fast on that last jump in the field. 😅 One thing I try to avoid is to ask the horse to speed up while turning. It seems like she asked him to speed up then he couldn’t calculate the jump in time and that’s why he stopped. Cause she was doing really well going straight until the turn. Me personally, I ask to speed up going straight, then slow on the turn and then gradually speed up to the jump so he can see the obstacle and calculate the height accordingly.

Ah bless you, try not to feel to guilty my lovely, we have all been there with saddles and it may certainly not be your last with a saddle. Horses change shape all the time, even in-between fittings, which is why it's important for listening to the signs. You have got yourself such an honest dude there, and he could of really wanted you off but he didn't, instead gave you signs that wasn't to dangerous but have made you listen. I'm surprised the instructor didn't take a look at your saddle sooner so you could of all made a decision going forward into the lesson, but it's done now and you can move forward with a better fitting saddle and he can have lots of pampers ❤. The saddle before the one I have now ended up not fitting very well once the flocking settled and caused such tightness in his back, and that was after 1 hack and a 1 session in the school before he gave me signs it's hurting, the physio came out straight away and sorted his soreness but thankfully we now have one that suits him very well. Anyway, alls well that ends well, and your dude is fine and so are you, and thats main thing. Its hard not to feel guilty but by looking at his face with his pamper sessions there you are definitely forgiven 😊. looking forward to an update on the saddle and take care until next time ❤

Absolutely love Somerford Park, I did summer camp there. I wasn’t as brave as you were with any of the jumps. Knightley and headcam made them look small 😂 was lovely to watch, can’t wait for the xc fences ♥️

What a fun place! Such a shame he wasn't having one of his confident days. It can certainly be frustrating and glad you wasn't hurt when you took a tumble. I think he is just one of these horses you really have to guide and reassure, it seemed in some of the video that because his mate wasn't jumping and just strolling by he was like why am i going over it and not both of us, considering most of his young life they all jumped together, so its what he knows. I think your friends horse is such a cutie to, him and nightly are great together!. Looking forward to the lesson video, take care until next time ❤

One thing I don’t get, is when a horse is misbehaving people think the owner is inexperienced. But it’s how they handle the misbehaving horse that should decide that. Horses misbehave, it’s not because the rider is inexperienced. She handled this well
