Have you explored the Sylvania Wilderness Area west of Watersmeet? Great place to canoe camp. I had just acquired an old restored Chestnut Prospector and spent a week one October traveling from lake to lake. Never heard or saw another human the whole time I was back in there. The weather was perfect for that time of year and the small mouth fishing was great. Twenty-three years ago and I still long to go back.

U weren’t sure u could handle portaging your old 50’ canoe? You could. Get yoke pads and good to go! My advice is to start with an 80 pounder and move down with age. Great footage though!

Just got back from a 6 day trip there as well. Mosquitoes were bad as expected but were prepared for it. Some unfortunate souls left their full can of Deet floating by an empty campsite. Unlike you, only caught a small bass over the 6 days of fishing. Was hoping for a fresh walleye with rice dinner. Even so, nice trip! Bonus History: Fred Miller, grandson of the Miller Brewing Company named three of the lakes after his three children (Teddy, Claire, and Craig). Thanks for your video log!

Curious how you set up your fishing pole holder? I have the Swift Prospector 15 in carbon fusion and it didn't look like a good idea to clamp a fishing pole holder to the carbon gunnels

My mom's boyfriend (who passed away seven years ago about this time) used to breed Boston Terriers, and he let me and my husband raise one for breeding purposes, so we were foster parents to a Boston Terrier. (The dog was technically in his name, and he could ask us to return her any time he wanted.) We got the puppy 18 years ago this month, and he asked for her back in November of 2008. Our dog was full of energy, too. (In fact, my stepmother called her the "Dog From Hell".) Since my mom's late boyfriend could also decide when he didn't want a female to have another litter, he could also sell her any time he wanted, so he did in January of 2010, and since it's been that long, our former dog has probably had to be put down by now. The way my mom's late boyfriend operated with his dogs was that if he bred his male with another person's female, he either wanted the price of one puppy (since they're purebreds, they were pretty expensive) or his pick of the litter. The way we got ours was that he got his pick of the litter, and our dog was technically registered to him. When we had our dog, one of my husband's friends came over when our dog was still a puppy. Our puppy would nibble on my husband's friend's chin, and our friend would say, "Excuse me, your name's not Adam. There's only one person who's allowed to do that, and his name's Adam." Sometimes, I would have the dog with me in the bathroom when I'd take a shower. When I'd get out of the shower and start to dry off, as I'd expect, the dog would lick my legs, but when she jumped up and started licking between my legs, I told our friend that, and our friend said, "It sounds like your dog is a lesbian," then he'd ask the dog, "Are you a lesbian, Judy (our dog's name)?"

I loved watching every second of this video! Fern is the cutest little girl❣️ I had a male BT named Jack. He was the best dog, and I loved him fiercely. He lived to 17 years, and brought so much joy. I’m happy for both of you, and especially for Fern! What great, caring parents she’s found. Looking forward to watching her grow. Good luck with the chewing 😉🐾❣️

LOVE Fern !! I'm getting a baby BT soon and am so excited...just wondering how Fern is doing at night now? Does she sleep with you guys or in the crate. I'm really anxious about getting our little one to sleep at night and not keep us all awake. How is the routine going now. Did she ever just cry it out in her crate and how are you handling it now ?

Perfect conditions for a paddle and stunning drone shots. The colors and layering of the base rock under the water was amazing. You also captured the mix of vibrant red Jacobsville sandstone glowing in the morning sun against the black basalt rocks to the north. You are the first person I've seen capture these caves on UA-cam which gives testament to the rarity of these perfect weather conditions.

What a beautiful video! I’m in the same situation as you, my old boston terrier of 14 years passed away about a month ago. Her loss was devastating, as she was with me for the majority of my life. She was my childhood dog. We just got an 8 week old boston terrier puppy yesterday, and she’s a spunky little fella! She’s either really sleepy, or really energetic! Never in between. I haven’t had a dog this energetic in years. I love her so much. I’m so happy you got Fern, congratulations! ❤

OMG !!! I couldn't have found this video at a better time. Our beautiful 11 year old Boston girl passed away recently from illness. we are heartbroken but want to find another baby soon. I'd forgotten how much energy a puppy has and I really need some advice on "housebreaking" again and crate training. Our girl slept with us from the first week until she died and I know I need to crate train a new puppy. I'm really rusty with the housebreaking routine because our last Boston had been semi-trained by the time we picked her up. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated !! I'm in love with Miss Fern !! Can't wait to watch more. BTW- we are going to see some pups today and can't wait , hopefully one will stand out for us and we can begin to adopt her.
