Great hike....will definitely add to our list. How early is early? We did some hiking in Arizona this summer and had to get to the parking lot at 5 am, otherwise there is no parking. Great video....loved every minute.
This was on a Friday and he got there at 8:30 am and the lot was almost full. I imagine weekdays are better and weekends would need to be even earlier!
This was one of our families favorite weekend hike spots but the last time we went last year there was no parking for at least 3 miles outside the parking lot. We didn't go that day. I hate to see what level of trash is left behind on the trail today.
The trails are surprisingly clean still. I think the higher populated trails are usually the cleanest because many still practice leave it better than you found it. It’s the more off the beaten path that sadly get littered. And I agree with the parking situation. Hopefully now that they charge fees to enter they can build some more parking infrastructure!
That area always gets hammered with people. Beautiful, but not a place to go if you want to have the place to yourself.
Definitely not! It helps to get there early though.
