YES! Thank you. Seth is the man and this was an amazing interview.
Thank you for watching! And appreciate the kind words. 🙏 -Cory
I have gained a lot from listening to and reading Seth's work and participating in two workshops over the years so I don't enjoy coming down on the details of his assertions, but he is wrong about regenerative livestock management not being scalable. Why can't it be? I believe it is necessary to rebuild abused soils. There's intense rotational grazing, silvopasture, alley-cropping. There's red seaweed. There's even a clustercluck! Learn, Seth, if you're going to offer your thoughts on an industry. He was also wrong on the jabz. He's a g when it comes to supporting businesses in their pursuit of meaningful work but it seems like he gets some big things dead wrong
Yeah, I greatly appreciate Seth's participation and enthusiasm for our conversation, however, just because you're an "expert" in one domain, doesn't mean you're an expert in another.
Thank you for a truly wonderful interview. Great questions.
Appreciate the compliment! And thank you for watching! -Cory
Great video. I just tried some dried ones which were put in a blender. They were excellent, hot and spicy. I asked for some seeds and wow that had some spare. So I'm going to try growing them in Southern Australia.
best of luck! I'll be curious to hear how it goes. I have them all over my yard now because of the birds. haha Hoping the same for you!
I enjoyed your video. I bought some seeds and was interim how to germinate the seeds. Thanks

Wonderful presentation!
glad you enjoyed - Roland is quite inspiring.
Cool video. I originally tried to germinate these with a wet paper towel and failed. Abuela said to let the pepper completely dry out then plant into shallow soil. I planted 8 seeds this way hoping one would work. After almost 4 weeks I was about to throw in the towel after checking everyday. Skipped a day and all 8 popped up at once. Just transplanted them and gonna give some away.
Oh wow, that's awesome! Thanks for sharing. Good tip from the abuela. -Cory

Hey, im wanting to lower my environmental footprint . I started by removing meat from my diet almost a year ago but i stil consume dairy. After reading about how much of a negative impact the dairy industry has on our planet, ive been considering insects as an alternative to all animal based products you buy at stores. I came across a UA-cam video that lab tested cricket meal and found it to have very high levels of arsenic. Can you please refer me to a resource where i can buy insect meal that is free from heavy metals? Also, do you sell any of these insect products? Any helpful info would be appreciated.

How nice for talented people.. The rest of us do jobs that we can hopefully tolerate and live our average lives... Most of us are average It's the statistical imperative How do you advise us?
First, I wouldn't sell yourself short and overestimate everyone else. Second, instead of being "better," just find ways to be "different." Thanks for watching, -Cory

thanks, Claudine. I appreciate it!
Congratulations on your amazing interview! It was truly eye-opening.
thank you! Glad you enjoyed, -Cory
I like the sentiment behind this, but I wish you would have been a little bit more specific, or also dived a little bit more into ideas and rebuttals like Adam Smith's butcher and baker quote.
good feedback. I'll think about it for future videos. -Cory
Great Video; on a product which is frankly a tough sell. Expensive Hi-tech substitutes for free natural processes are a fallacy and anything but sustainable. Devices that require electricity, filters, additives, internet access, and periodic deliveries are the opposite of Green! Chopping and dehydrating makes sense for edible ingredients, but not table waste. Composting is messy, and it takes time, whereas Lomi sanitizes and rushes an organic operation. Food waste is a societal problem that will not be solved by buying another appliance. Purchasing a food-grade 5 gallon bucket for $10 makes more cents, and besides, it can also be used as a compostable toilet (which the Lomi resembles but cannot deliver). Nice try Lomi, but as for me and my family, we will put our food waste in the ground (where it belongs), not an air-fryer look-alike. Thanks, but no thanks.
Thanks for watching. The wonderful thing about composting is it's simplistic nature. It happens in nature whether we do anything or not! I'm a little concerned with approaching the issue of food waste by ultimately creating appliance waste of a significant magnitude. Better to focus on the simpler solutions here...
Amazing podcast and great questions! Congratulations. Also, the video looks great, what software did you use to record the episode?
Glad you enjoyed it! I use riverside.fm/ for all my remote recordings. But I'm also using an external camera because I can sometimes have some trouble with the audio/video sync. -Cory

Glad you found it helpful! Thanks for watching. -Cory
This is perfect timing for me Cory. I've planted pollinator flowers, bee balm, echinacea, etc., herbs & grown some miniature onions & potatoes in my city (Toronto) front yard . It's a small space covered by a maple tree, so sunlight is an issue & the soil is like dust, even the grass doesn't grow. So, I intend to create netted planters/raised beds, which will also keep the squirrels, etc. at bay. I'd like to grow Indigenous vegetables & Indigenous medicinal plants, of which I currently know little. I'm attempting to live off ODSP, so it'll all be done on a shoe-string, grand plans, but no funds, so up for collaborative projects. keep up the inspirational work sir - good soil = good earth = regeneration + sustainability!
Rock on, I appreciate the comment and kind words. Love what you have going on. -Cory

I have been mostly happy with their products. The only thing I wish is that they don’t add extra sugar in their pre-made products. Example- Pulled Pork.
Agreed! Thanks for sharing.
I was not impressed with the products that I bought in relation to the price
Bummer. But thanks for sharing. What didn't meet your expectations?
Several of my friends actually really liked the idea, but are not willing to spend that amount of money for a phone case. If they truly cared about the environment, they would not worry about making as much money and lower the price. You cannot tell me that between shippingand making it they are paying more than $15 per phone case. Yet they are selling them for $60. These should not be more than $35 if they really want to help the planet.
You might be right. I unfortunately don't know Pela's profit margins on these cases, but sure, assume they don't cost much to make. And as well, the way that they discount their prices and run promotions has me convinced they have an extremely high margin to work with. I still stand by the Pela case as a great option, however, what I have on my phone right now is a case from agoodcompany. www.agood.com/products/plant-based-phone-case-charcoal-black
Will it still work even if not completely anaerobic?
I mean, the bokashi fermentation should be as anaerobic as possible. There will always be *some* oxygen available, even in the space between the lid of your bucket and your current level of food scraps. Some people will cover their food scraps (inside their bucket) with a plastic sack or something to further restrict the oxygen. I don't find that necessary and have produced the fermentation results that I've needed.
Can we open and fill the scraps every day? Because we produce scrap of the food everyday.
yup! absolutely.@@trisniatikanadi3269
