Hello! And thanks for visiting the channel, here you'll find a wide range of metal fabrication projects including heavy equipment repair, farm, household, and many other unique things that we seem to find ourselves (meaning me & beautiful wife and camera woman) can get ourselves into. We don't generally say no to many projects which tends to be entertaining. We also have two German Shepherds who require way too much attention and surely we will feature some puppy content and a few builds based around them. We are also starting a new shop in a whole new location and we are super excited to feature that project from start to finish and we invite you to watch us grow, we hope you enjoy and thanks for watching.

Really, Just use a bigger hammer/Beater! Doesn’t matter how many plates he welds on that grapple or what method of welding-hard wire-flux-stick, the operator of that machine can destroy an anvil with a toothpick! He definitely has job security welding on those machines
i appreciate these videos so much craig. im a young welder, and i have taken on multiple big arched gate jobs. not having a big flat table ive been racking my mind on how do i make these gates flat and square, how do i figure out the angle to connect the arch tops to the frame uprights, stuff like that. you have simple and ingenuitive ideas. thanks a lot for showing your work.
This was really helpful much obliged pard
Hey man, this just popped up in suggested vids, and I figured I would drop a line to see how everything is goin? Hope all is well and business is good! Stay safe. Make some vids if you ever get a chance.
It's a good video on how not to run a fab shop. It's dangerous in there. Maybe he can start by using safety glasses for work as opposed to a fashion statement.
Hey man, hope all is well. Haven't seen any new vids. Stay safe.
@deanl2427 yea I'm doing ok just got to be more of a hassle than it was worth but thanks for checking in on me hope you are doing well too.
Great job bud
thx!
Where did you purchase the tube bender and what’s the name of the bender…Thanks
Is that a dynasty u got in that truck I see the air cooled
New subscriber here. Welder myself. Hope to have a set up similar to yours. Good job bud
What about the blades?
Why dont you just put the male quick connect fitting on there bro
What’s the name for the small suitecase?
Nice work! Need more vids!🍺 Stay safe.
nOT TO BE NOSEY , BUT THAT LOOKS LIKE A VERY HEAVY BUILT , WELL MADE TRAILER ! CAN YOU TELL US WHAT YOU HAD TO PAY FOR IT ?
It was a customers trailer so I'm not sure but thanks for watching 👍
are you just starting in the fab biz?
Bendig the whipe like that you fuck up the liner
If i dont have heat and the piece is thick i take a cutting wheel on a grinder and cut a groove at the spot i want it to bend. I bend it over and then run a bead across that groove. Nice job.
Thanks for watching 👍
You can put a 11 lbs spool in the 12vs suitcase
Yes you can
Great job! They look Amazing!
First time I've found your channel, I will say at first I thought this was going to be another rinky dink bush hog farmer welding channel, I will say I was wrong that bushog video was awesome and I'm impressed I actually have been binge watching you the last 2 hours or so😂 I do alot of work similar alot bigger stuff in and around the mining industry but I can't help but say I love that old service truck that boom style crane has to be handy as a shirt pocket you do some pretty legit jobs I'm impressed I love the content and variety of jobs !!
That's awesome that you like the channel. Thanks so much for watching and giving it a chance. Yeah the truck is a 2001 International 4900 and the crane is a life saver I did work for years without it and I don't know how. Stay tuned and stay safe out there 👍.
that is a monster truss....what is the span, like 40ft?
It's a 50ft span. Thanks for watching 👍
if you can teach your dog to pee on the fire you'll go viral LOL
Hah ha yea I wish I could get them to do something useful. Thanks for watching 👍
Those gates have been a challenge and an epic build. I have a customer that wants something similar. A twelve foot wide opening, on the crest of a small hill, the design has to reflect the new underground house and surrounding countryside and it has to be automated to slide out of the way. To be honest, I don't want the hassle of the design, the hassle of the build, the hassle of the infrastructure, galvanizing and painting and fitting. Having done some work the customer already, I know he will want to cut corners, save a sprinkle of money and take the pride out of the job with demoralising changes to the spec. Needless to say, I know him well and walked off his underground house build because he kept insisting on changes to welding work. Top work young man and much respect! P.S. Love those dogs!
Yea I know what you mean tough doing stuff like that for people you know especially if you know they are going to be cheap on it.
Which mig gun do you run off your suitcase ?
The Bernard BTB Q300. It's the same guns that came with the feeders they have held up really well over the years. Thanks for watching 👍
@@LivingstonWeldFab thank you
Nice repair.
Thanks for watching 👍
Those caps look awesome! With full welds, I'm surprised they didn't warp. Nice work.
Hey Dean thanks for watching 👍, yeah I made them out of 3/16 inch thick plate to make sure I wouldn't have issues with them warping up on me. They stayed straight as an arrow. I'll have a video up of them painted soon stay tuned 👍
Baux, Bon Boulo😄😄👍👍
Thanks 👍👍
Nice job!
Thanks for watching
Nice work will be following to see the finish product i use an old robo- tool laser level its self leveling lot easier to work with i dont remember what company bought them out mine is near 20yrs old
Yea stay tuned I finished the gate a few months ago just gotta get all this footage edited and posted. Thanks for watching 👍
Dont be sadden by😢a little mishap shit happens sometimes youll be ok it looking good
You're right it all worked out in the end 😀 thanks for watching 👍
Bon Boulo😀😀👍👍
This is the review I needed, someone who uses it in the field, size comparison, spool size and everything
Glad I could help 👍
They are excellent units for field work, I use a lot of big self shielded wire in these suitcases and it is excellent, pair it with a goose neck and it is perfect. Sucks when you don’t have a power source with ArcReach though.
Can't find nothing under that name in the app store ? ?
"Whitmer decks field tools" is the name of the app, the creator is Cliff Whitmer. You may have to go to their website if you have an iPhone Whitmerdecks.com/ft/. Thanks for watching
great work! the addition of the steps is nice as well!
Appreciate the comment and thanks for watching 👍
That was Amazing!
Thanks for watching 👍
Had similar experience when machines play up and the behave when someone else looks at them. Great dogs young man, they are playing you too! 😂
Not to worry it didn't behave long 😔
Bevel put a 6010 5p+ root , 6010 red rod hotpass, 7018 fill, 7018 cap
👍thanks for watching
nice video , i have a question if you don’t mind … wanted to ask for the name of the app it’d be greatly appreciated
It's called Whitmer Decks field tools.....thanks for watching 👍
I wish l had a crane on a truck. The only crane l have is a one ton capacity floor crane. To be fair, l couldn't do without it. Great video young man!
Yea I got that truck in 2019 and it has been a life saver, don't know how I did this work so long without it. Thanks for watching 👍
If I can make it, I would like to have a CNC plasma table one day. Its interesting to see different tables at work.
Yea it's nice to have I've done so many different projects with it over the years. Thanks for watching 👍
It might be giving you a bit of trouble getting the ducks lined up, but it looks a pretty good table.
Yea I ended up having to do a bit of maintenance on the table to get it straightened out which will be in an upcoming video but yeah I've done hundreds of projects with this table over the years. Thanks for watching 👍
You said that some guys commented that they have the same Cran...I have the same truck and crane and do similar work as you!!!
Thats really cool, I don't see very many rigs like mine around here in SC where are you located?
Blacksburg sc
@@johnwalters724 Well I take that back you're just up the Rd from me I'm in Newberry
Nice video. What is your strategy on keeping jobs rolling in to stay busy? I want start a welding company, I’m in California. Great content.
When I started the business it was a very different strategy than today but I would say the best way to start is by knocking on lots of doors and find out what other local businesses are looking for welding and fab work. Don't be afraid to ask even if you don't think they need that type of service you would be surprised I've worked on and in just about everything you can think of over the years. Thanks for watching.
@@LivingstonWeldFab Thanks for the reply.
Interesting stuff because l have to design and submit a quote for a sliding gate for an entrance to an underground house. Having seen you roll them arches previously l am sort of thinking along the same lines. This will be one gate that is about 14ft long that will open electronically. A good video series to watch young man.
Yea that sounds like a cool project I've only done one slide gate before, But it was similar with an arched top.
Nice job! Looks like some work because of the size. I think you need a 1" - 1 1/2" layout table maybe 20' x 20'. I know I could use one. LOL Rock on!
Yeah that would be super nice to have!
Nice one . Those wings should not come off in a hurry . 👍
Hey Max, thanks for watching ...and yea not expecting any problems...when you go the distance to do this type of work in the field rework is not an option....at least not a profitable one! Cheers 👍
Camera looks great.
Thanks 👍
Hey Craig, the new camera is great. Very clear and shows detail very good. Hang in there big guy.
Awesome glad the new camera is an improvement. I been filming a bunch, hopefully I'll catch a break soon and get more videos up.
Looks like Georgia red clay. Where was this?
No sir its upstate SC but pretty close guess...Thanks for watching!!
@@LivingstonWeldFab I grew up on 21 acres near Stone Mountain Georgia. We did a little light farming but the red clay was a curse. My Dad grew up near Ball Ground, Ga and during the depression they had to stop planting cotton (can you image raising cotton in clay?) because the price of cotton fell so low it would not buy new seed. The only thing that saved them was raising sugar cain. The boot leggers would pay $1/gallon (a huge price during those times).
