The Making of Nesting Season
Hi everyone! It’s been a second, but now that my health issues are mostly sorted out, I’m hoping to be more active on YT again.
I had to start back with this soap. I talk through most all of this, and share the reason why it had to be this one in the video, but in case you dont feel like listening to me drone on for 30+ min ~ this soap was one I finally started to find my muse again. She’s been gone for awhile, and I’ll talk about that in a later video, but for now, I am tickled to show how this soap was made.
Fragrances are from @bramble-berry
Cutter from @customcrafttools
Almost all the colorants are from Nurture Soap-

Well. I’m a little late from my self imposed weekly deadline- but I got this video together and ready to for the weekend! I talk a great deal about trace and what I look for to make a successful attempt at this design. I also show you where I go wrong with it- and chatter all the way through the (real time) cutting as well. My Affilatr Link to the pitchers I use here- its a nice way to thank me...

Whooooo. Man. If you would like to watch me be humbled, play on. As this soap sure did humble me. 🤣 I made many choices in this soap, none of them were super asides my fragrance oils I feel like. Nevertheless, I persisted and learned a Lot. This soap was made as part of the soap challenge club to show my own attempts and thoughts on making it as part of Bubble Support. (So it’s not an entry, bu...

Well. It’s not the weekend, but how about a new soap video on a Wednesday? Its like a wet soap wed, now with more video action. 🤣🫣 I didn’t add in my normal comments in this video, mostly as my time was just real short this week. Let me know if you are missing them terribly in the comments. Some new things this year to note- I *finally* got an Amazon account set up to share all my favorite supp...

Hooray! A new year, New Soap! Lets start the first soap of the new year off with a pivot. I had planned something completely different then how this soap turned out, (curse you math!) but it ended up being something I love. One of my resolutions was to try and get a video a week up, so that starts today! (Lets see how far I get 🤣🫣) Some new things this year to note- I *finally* got an Amazon ac...

I had to chose a favorite soap video to edit and work on, and this one was the winner today! As we all wind into the Halloween Weekend, and are prepping for Thanksgiving and the winter holidays here in the states, I hope this video helps inspire some gift ideas or even plans for next year. If you watch from the start, you will note that I ‘sponsored’ myself for this video, and talk about my pip...

    Hi, thank you for the great tutorial. Just wanted to ask, is soda ash a problem since the soaping is done at a low temperature and there is no water discount and there is extra added milk ? Do you put the poured soap in a preheated oven or wrap it in blanket or just open to room air / temperature?

    I've never added free oils. Why can't you at the gold mica another way? Im.nervous to do just the mica in oil

    • @CheekyGoatSoapery
      @CheekyGoatSoapery 3 місяці тому

      You absolutely can do it with oil from your recipe or with a dash of actual soap batter. I do it this way because it’s easier for me to control how much gold goes where, but it’s absolutely not a must. Also fwiw, don’t stress too much about free oils. Unless you have a crazy high super fat, it will be absorbed by the surrounding soap and made into soap as well in my experience.

    • @CheekyGoatSoapery
      @CheekyGoatSoapery 4 місяці тому

      I am rarely one that really watches the thermometer- as a rule I feel the side of the oil container and look for it to be ‘warm’ 😅. (No I’m not making any of this up.) That being said, when I have thought to hit it with a temp check, it’s usually in the 88-100° range.
