I am so excited to share this soap with all of you. I’ve been sitting on them for a few weeks now, and it’s been very hard to not share them.
I made all of the birds basically free hand, using my own soap dough, with tips from Sorcery Soap. I do use an extruder disk for a few of the parts like the beaks, but overall, it’s just me, and my 2 hands.
(This is why the crests need some work 😂)
But I am proud of them, and thankful to my dear friends and mentors who have helped cheer me on while I was making these.
Notably Bee From Sorcery Soap, Lisa From I Dream in Soap, and as always, my dear sister Roxy at Caprica Soapery.
Scented in Pink Grapefuit, from WSP, it’s my favorite fragrance to de accelerate batter, my other issues with the company shipping times and buying practices asides.
I used a host of greens and blues for this soap-

As always, my soaps are made with a blend of goat milk, and other food grade ingredients.
Please note, if you are new to cold process soap making, do as I say and not as I do.
I routinely soap in short sleeves with long gloves, and a face shield. (Which you can see very briefly in my Lemonder Blue Bee video, it’s a bit scary, sorry! )

However, you should always soap in long sleeves and with full protective gear! Lye is dangerous, as it is hot soap!

Quick question about labeling. Did you make soap dough out of this recipe, or do you have to figure out the percentages of each part for your labels?
It’s a similar base to my recipe with a few tweaks, so it makes labeling easy!
