When you say "moving slowly"...do you mean "don't run" or "press X to walk slowly"? Either way, I'll go back and test this again because at first I could only get out without taking damage by running instead of walking.

@@SirStefanGaming I mean it's easier to react to these appearing anomalies when you move not sprinting, but anyway this anomaly is kinda weird, because once you stop, it will be hitting you instantly, it's hard to stay and loot in the area with this type of anomaly, it makes you move all the time to not get hurt 🙂

Fun fact you cannot do this if it barrel stuffs you, terrain can greatly impact this anomaly and can result in the anomaly spawning directly one you, this happened the most to me in the red forest

It's a good tip but I politely disagree due to the frequency of that occurring. It's more often that people have to repair their weapons than that you encounter loads of Brurers. Don't get me wrong, as soon as I hear those little Quasimodo Jedi I switch to Skif's pistol or take a first shot with an M701 but it's not that much of an inconvenience.

This has been patched out (at least for crouching, I have to double-check for standing still and walking) with patch 1.1: "Fixed when player's equipment was damaged while player was crouching in Razor"

I would consider that early game, heading to mid as far as the main missions go.

In a Tier list of all shotguns then the Saiga is definitely a high roller; I'll smuggle it into my next vid with some further analysis

Second this, Also the the Saiga reloads with a magazine instead of feeding cartridges, much faster to reload.

​@jcortest Saiga is very expensive to repair and I found just one technician who can upgrade it. You will get it first time before swamps, no reason specifically look for this weapon beforehand

Oh yeah it's easy to lose track of time and just put in over an hour of just playing these battles; I know I did!

I would argue it has gotten significantly less after the first few patches, although I did run into a couple of main mission bugs a few times that still haven't been solved/fixed.

@ bugged at zaylissa 3 times on different playthroughs on newest fixed patch. Talk about having a bad time…..

@ that happened once. Then two times the gaffer just said the thing where he gives you 1000 coupons each time, then when you leave it auto fails. Somehow this led to no scar at Rostock when you take the emitter…

Man that's so frustrating. I've experienced that loading a save from before your current mission sometimes resets these kind of issues, although I'm not sure this counts for this particular mission since a lot of people are complaining about this particular bug.

Interesting, I see the reload time coming back as a reason for picking the Cracker over the SPSA. Out of curiosity, are you using combat reloads during a fight?

I applaud your ability to press and hold RMB, aim, fire, analyze what effect your ROF has AND be able to press B to switch lol. I could never!

@@SirStefanGaming All you have to do is hold left trigger (aim down sights) and press Y. Skif then simply flips the switch on the firearm. It's simple. Unless of course you are mocking me.

No mate, definitely not mocking you. I'm on PC and with the default settings, I'm bad at doing 5 things at the same time but I think you're on Xbox so you can move and hold trigger with 1 hand and press Y with the other.

Certain artifacts give you more weight capacity, they let you carry more weight

I'm most definitely not using cheat codes, I'm already a god-like gamer without them...so with them would be double-cheating! 😛😅 No seriously; I have a few artifacts that increase the weight carry limit plus on most gear I purchase any weight reduction upgrade. At what time in the video did you see this, maybe I can clarify what you're seeing.

@NIGHTMXRE5 .. Yes, I know, but his max weight capacity shows 80kg, pretty average without anomalies, and he's carrying 5 - 6 heavy weapons a pistol plus stash, and it only shows 65kg(?), also his weight icon is still yellow. When I'm at 80kg max, my max carry is like 4 heavy weapons, plus stash, anymore, and I can't even walk.. When I use an anomaly, you can see the max rate go up like later on in his video it shows 120kg.. 🤷‍♂️ Maybe I'm carrying too many bullets. 😆 There is a nexus mod for weight capacity, though..

@@justventing Unless youre carrying like 300 bullets for each gun it doesnt really make a difference, could be just artifact stacking, also some armors are lighter and some let you upgrade them to make them lighter and give you more weight for ammo and stuff

@SirStefanGaming .. 2:05.. Sorry, it's overweight by .5 or .9 (blurry) and you load weight isn't 65.1... But for all that in your inventory including 5 pieces of armor and all the weapons and gear to only weigh 80.5 - .9kg with a Max weight of 80kg just seems off. 🤷‍♂️.. Oh and only one anomaly on..

Thanks for the tips! Doesn't your weapon get damaged though when you use it for opening boxes? That's why I use my knife all the time.

@ haha, you got me there. I have no idea how I didn’t think of weapon durability being used by melee attacks, as it clearly is. Scratch that tip off :D I just wanted to help and ended up with a unhelpful til :)

You really did help & don't get me wrong, I really appreciate you spending time to share your tips! And it's not like whether or not an action influences weapon durability is the be-all-end-all of things...if you care more about time than Coupons then I would just use a weapon to open boxes: easier, faster. Plus if you happen to walk around with Skif's pistol more than anything else then you can just use that to strike with since repair costs for it are almost none-existent.

I did this in the beginning but quickly found out that most threats required something much bigger than a pistol to deal with effectively (plus I suck at neutralizing NPCs over 20m+ away with a pistol, all the while they are peppering me with lethal accuracy haha)

@@SirStefanGaming There's not too much that mag dumping a APSB loaded with AP rounds is not going to at least inconvenience. But it's really just for things that pop up in your face. If they're 20m+ away then you have time to switch to a long gun. And anyway, if the choice is scanner plus bolt or scanner plus pistol you might as well have the pistol.

Yeah those shotguns are something else! I have that too sometimes but only when I'm not up close and center behind it; when you get near the edge you can get clipped.

Thank you for bringing it to my attention! Seems to be my fault from editing; sorry! I accidently placed the audio from the in-game footage over my mic audio when I was reworking that bit. The bit that's missing is that I can recommend loading up an assault rifle with regular ammo combined with a high-capacity magazine (if you have it) and secondly, using a shotgun with AP ammo....and that's about when the audio picks back up.

Yup, exactly as these guys said, it's a progression thing. Similarly, you don't get the Three Captains quest in Zaton until you've completed the main A Search for a Guide.

Yeah that is true, the one time you have to make the choice to hide inside one is once in a lifetime and when you do it should only be for the shortest amount of time. I tested this, standing for hours in a cloud and eventually your armor dies....and then you do as well.

If I´m not mistaken your gear doesn´t take any damage if you walk through the anomaly (press X). If you just crouch through it without pressing walk, your gear get´s damaged.

Time for some additional testing this evening :)

@@Jomega1212 Nah, only applies to shotguns that have no magazine attachments and doesn't apply to the TOZ or Boomstick. That first shell loading animation is about 2 seconds longer than the rest of the shells. So, fully empty your shotgun only when you are sure you will kill your target, there no other enemies arround or you have a safe space to reload.

@Zgredzik112 OH, i meant the part where you said it's faster to reload if you don't shoot the last shot. That is true for all guns lol

I dont think so. Cracker is awesome, but shotty's with fast fire rate are very big deal in Stalker games. It makes encounters with the mid tier mutants like bloodsuckers or poltergeists a joke.

I know which one you mean! It's the one from the Ultimate Edition gear. I thought of naming it as a possible next upgrade but decided not to because not everyone will of course have the Ultimate Edition plus it's all the way up in Prypiat.

@@SirStefanGaming you get magfed cracker at slug heap early in campaing, when you talk with Richter on a crane and then loot backpack there. Maybe i got it cause i gave scanners to richter and you going ward path from the looks of it. i got spsa in cordon, but not using it due to reload time. i'm not good with aiming especially when fighting bloodsuckers, so fast reload and slower shooting is important for me. With spsa i would unload everything in the air and be dead while reloading.

I find myself jamming more frequent with Cracker, and the unjamming animation was horrendously long on the top of it being a pump-action

If that happens in combat I immediately switch to Skif's pistol or an SMG/assault rifle I'm carrying. Something that might help is to try and repair your weapons by default whenever you reach a settlement with a technician.

Yes for some you do, however in my experience Bloodsuckers, Poltergeists, Burers and Chimeras go down fast with AP than with Expansive ammo.

My pistol skill leaves a lot to be desired for over longer distances and I usually get sniped by a thug with a Boomstick at 100m out so I just switch to a rifle of some sort lol.
