Visiting Professional Teams (My Advise & Experience)
I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to visit professional running teams-a chance to witness firsthand the dedication, discipline, and excellence that define the sport at its highest level. Moments like these remind me that hard work opens doors, but curiosity and a hunger to grow are what truly push us forward.

Twin Cities Marathon | The Race That Got Away
Переглядів 6 тис.Місяць тому
Sometimes, no matter how perfectly you plan, race day has other ideas. You train hard, you dial in your workouts, you visualize every mile. But then… things start to slip. Fueling is everything in a marathon, but today, a missed bottle here… and there… threw everything off. I thought I’d be fine, but going 9 miles without fuel and then overhydrating at the later aid stations led to an upset sto...

The U.S. 20K National Championship gathers top talent from all 50 states in New Haven, Connecticut, where they compete for the title of National Champion. This was my first time racing at the U.S. 20K National Championship and my second appearance on the U.S. road racing circuit. My debut came in March, just after the U.S. Marathon Trials, when I raced many of the same competitors in a 15K and ...

Bro is an Inspiration! This is very helpful thankyou.
Ran a 2:15 marathon and not fast enough to get an individual contract? That’s wild
Cool video Habs, you know a lot more about out these groups than I do 😅 I’m past my life opportunity to join a group, but happy to have the guys in Provo to train with 🙏
Hey I would love if you could help me find a team I’m a high school run and I don’t want to go to college so I’m going to be a high way patrol officer and I was wondering if there’s a group in Iowa
Best of luck - rooting for you and exited to follow along
How much money have you made from winning races??
People say they don’t have the natural talent until they realize they haven’t been running 100+ mpw for years lol
Is NCAA experience really a prerequisite for all of these groups? I know it's not for some of the biggest and best funded. OAC, of course. TME may not exist going forward, but they didn't require NCAA participation. NOP was the same. Many groups seems to require it, but wouldn't McKirdy let you in even if you never had anything to do with collegiate running? I'm definitely not recommending them, but I kind of doubt they'd turn you down if you were fast. I bet Under Armour might too - again, assuming a certain ability. Anyway, just wondering.....

Great job my brother wish you all the best ✊🏿🏁
Hey Habtamu what is your job and how do you manage your time working and running?
Im a highschool junior and the dream is to be a pro marathoner! I just don’t know exactly the correct route to take coming out of HS sounds like a dumb question but it’s serious do I move to Kenya or stay for college?
The captions software you used was crazy in this xD Good thing you didn't join the 'man myth' group in california ahaha
Bro is living the dream
@@Klian159 ikr
Connor and Clayton are good guys, you made the right decision
High IQ pick. Good luck bro sounds like this was the right choice!
Wow
Ran 2:43 for my first marathon off of running 30 miles a week. Planning on running Boston in the spring. Around what time do you think I would need to get down to in order to join smaller semi-pro teams?
@@Jhinderliter probably around 2:25
There's that old saying "If you say 'it's not about the money', it's ABOUT the money!". There are exceptions, and for you to listen to your gut at your age, you are the exception. I commend you. BTW, Puma Elite is in my backyard and the Greenville group is a little over an hour east of me. North Cackalacka is a beautiful area but dayum, it is brutal in the Summer. Then again, that's the South for all of us runners.
@@realDougSheppard appreciate it
Cole Hocker is not funded?! Or he’s in a team that’s not funded, but he himself is funded??
@@DrProfX SOVA isn’t funded
SOVA isnt funded, but I would assume he has a personal sponsorship with nike, just like cooper teare
@@Bruhhh32this video isn’t about individual sponsorships but cole is sponsored by Nike just like cooper
Chase the dream brother! That's what your 20's are all about IMO
True true

awesome video sir
We're out here in South Dakota 👋 great content!
@@ZenithEndurance More college students need to realize that running doesn’t end after graduation-it’s just getting started.
@runnerhabs that's part of our mission statement. When Dakota Lindwurm graduated from small school in our state and left... good to see her dominant, but wish it was here! Doing our best to identify and retain talent!
Some high performing teams out of NY. Central Park Track Club backed by Tracksmith. Empire Elite, who have some good athletes.
Did you lose your bandit sponsorship?
@@blueboy799ify no but it’s a small contract to support me to go to races. it doesn’t pay my bills
come to michigan after , it’s sweet
Pussy
thanks for sharing. I was there for the full marathon and. think stayed at same hotel as well, yes this is first time I seen what you elite people do at your end was always curious. hope you enjoyed the race as well, thanks for sharing

Yo this dudes face has 0% body fat
bro send it this way philippines! 🇵🇭
omg playing snowcrash!!! lets goooo
As a runner I can feel the pain with you. Just stay positive, good races are to come!
Nice race!!
Love watching the journey! Also you were the rabbit for my 11-year-old's Wolfpack cross country race the other week. Pretty cool!
i love u habs!
Thanks for the breakdown. Such a tough lesson learned on the bottles. A great reminder that the marathon is much more than just the running.
dont get upset with it, it just a lesson you have to learn and move forward
It was really some shit with your botlles and a pity because you was in the lead and I also think its quite mature of you to just af course is disapointed but you dont get angry or make up several excuses and put the blame on others and thats great and you are a quite awesome runner with many qualities and lot af talent and <i think when you have solved your botlle problem in the future it aint gonna be any doubt that you can come a long way in the running world. I will follow you onthis channel to see when ypu break the 2 hour barrier in the marathon.......Inga DK.
Keep up the great work man!
I wanna see the video of the guy eating cereal out of that hat
That haircut is NASTY, id have to fight that barber
What a learning experience! Hope to see you back next year!
Never give up, consistency builds progress, you got this❤❤🫡
Me 😈
Sorry to hear the race wasn’t what you wanted. Kudos to you for taking ownership on the bottle situation despite being frustrated. Love the videos! Keep it up
this is my home race, hope to do it someday! keep crushing it my guy
Congrats! Struggle with the same issue as keeping my stomach not upset during races.
I have never commented on UA-cam, but as a slower runner, what you said about not planning on dropping out ever again no matter how bad it is gave am a new found respect for you.
