I Made a 70's Witch Outfit in ONE Day! | DIY Whimsigoth & Witch Core
I know we've just had Halloween but it's still spooky season and I've really wanted to build up some of my witchy style lately to pad out my wardrobe.
On this channel there tends to be more of a focus on older historical styles whenever we do these kinds of makes but I do really love a lot of the fashions of the 1970s: A lot of those flowing, bohemian styles and luxe buttoned up pieces combine so well and are just screaming for me to turn them witchy.
This decade's fashion blends so nicely with a lot of gothic style which is another area I'm trying to build up so in this video we're throwing it all together into an outfit and seeing what happens! (and also because my next project is taking ages and I've been very ill and this really needed to be quick so have fun while I stress over getting these items made in just ONE DAY...)

I Made A Halloween Costume Using ONLY Halloween Decorations!
Переглядів 5 тис.14 днів тому
I made my Halloween costume out of Halloween decorations! (Something which is NOT easy if you're in the UK...) For Halloween this year I decided to embrace the call to just give up on society and become a bog witch living in the woods... To make things harder on myself though I chose to make this costume using ONLY Halloween decorations. Now in other countries like the US it's fairly easy to fi...

I don't know why I wanted my wedding dress to feel a little haunted, it just felt right. This has been a massive sewing project, the wedding has consumed all of my time the past month (hence why this video is so late going up). I am so happy to share this with you all, I absolutely love how my dress turned out and am happy to report my wedding day was perfect! 🖤 Very sorry if this video is a li...
I Made A Bunch of Fantasy Cloaks! *in 3 days* | Easy DIY Sewing

Bring back cloaks! As we are now heading into crunch leaf season it seemed the perfect time to make myself a collection of cloaks for every occasion. Plus, these are so easy to make!! I 100% recommend for con crunching, last minute halloween costumes, ren faires, LARPs (Live Action Roleplay) - or just replacing a mundane dressing gown. It felt so nice to make something simple for a change, defi...

I Made a Medieval Fantasy Dress! (inspired by Merlin)
Переглядів 4,2 тис.2 місяці тому
I have been dying to make a medieval fantasy dress for the longest time and when I was finally brave enough to use my blue velvet, I just couldn't get the idea of a Merlin inspired dress out of my head (plus I've been rewatching BBC's Merlin lately). Hope you enjoy this little Medieval DIY (which I would love to wear to a renfaire one day!) Pattern I used: Butterick B4571 (with my own alteratio...

I made my first fictional tiara! This was so much fun to make, although it was definitely a new challenge to make a tiara from a sketch rather than replicating one from photographs. I Made Bridgerton Pyjamas to Watch Season 3 ✨IN STYLE✨

They are cosy and they are beautiful and you bet your backside that I put them on for my own little Bridgerton viewing party! 🥰 For anyone interested the regency robe pattern I used is linked below: www.laughingmoonmercantile.com/product-page/130-download-regency-wrapping-front-trained-or-...
My MET GALA Dress was CURSED!
Переглядів 11 тис.6 місяців тому
I may not have been invited to the ball but that isn't going to stop me dressing up for it! The Met Gala has such an amazing theme this year that I HAD to make something for it. My design has many historical influences from Edwardian Era fashion, in both the silhouette and embellishments, including my first attempt at ribbon embroidery. This has been a dream project for me, even if it turned ou...
I Tried to Make an Edwardian Corset (& only cried a little)
Переглядів 4,1 тис.6 місяців тому
This Edwardian Corset dam near broke me 😂 Probably the most skilled sewing project I have attempted thus far and boy was I not ready for it. I used the TVE01 1903 Edwardian Corset pattern from Truly Victorian, it was actually fantastic and had great instructions, all mishaps were entirely down to my lack of sewing ability. Combining this corset with the other Edwardian Undergarments I had previ...

They are so gosh darn pretty and they might be making a regular appearance on the channel so I really hope you like ...

Always fun to watch you create! Continue to feel better Madame ❤️🩹
😘😘😘😘🌹🌹🌹🌹💋💋💋💋❤❤
I made a cloak last week for a kid at school who has just REALLY got into D&D. As dungeon master I decreed he needed a cloak. Conveniently someone gave me a load of velvet-y black fabric, I downloaded a pattern...and it made him cry he was so happy. Cool!!
You are so beautiful that you could wear a tablecloth and be stunning!
I know this is way too late to help, and I don’t know if this is available in your country, but Pellon 830 Easy Pattern is great to trace patterns through. It’s not transparent, but it’s translucent and sturdy enough to use as a pattern when you copy from your original pattern. I can easily use a permanent pen to trace the size I want. No slippery plastic, and it saves you one step. Another help with silk is to loosen the presser foot tension. That with leaving the pins in helps. Your dress turned out beautifully! And congratulations on your marriage!
Fun
Congratulations on the fabulous hown and marriage!
Loved your video!! This is typical how things went for most of the make of my own dress.❤
Is there anybody who doesn’t brake up the cake before eating it? 😂❤
Stunning well done
Love it! Also a great idea to frame brooches too!
Wait.. wait… wait… that’s an option? I can be an ethereal ghost and not a pretty princess or cupcake? Why has no one told me this?
Fun
16:32 I've got to say you are really re-inventing the wheel here with retracing on plastic packaging, and then retracing on actual paper. Why do that when there's perfectly usable pattern tracing paper on the market? That aside: congratulations!
Fun
I love the confidence after succeeding the machine gathering. From success to dreams to be able to make the live action Cinderella dress. Insane jump, but again love the confidence. ❤ And congratulations!
It's beautiful! I hope your entire wedding day is equally perfect 😊
Nice
I recently used the ruffler foot on my vintage Singer for the first time, and if you're willing to do some testing and a little bit of maths, it's a game changer!
Great video. Looks like an awesome fabric barn
When sewing silk or velvet you need to pin often and perpendicular to your stitching so it won’t slip
On the wee flowers you made, could you add wire through the holes before you put them in place and add the glue and then be able to wrp the wire to the other swirls?
For the metal bit, if painting it anyway, I'd have used a soda can. Aluminum cuts easy. I love these videos! I've only made one tiara- a bead woven one I whip stitched to a wire base. I love these!
Still working on my own hobbit girl summer, but now its fall... 🍁🍂
im honestly so impressed you decided to make your wedding dress a week before your wedding. I'm not even engaged yet, but im already stressing about making my wedding dress
Returning to the video ❤ on a princess dress journey
shout out htwn
I LOVE IT!!!!! Oh ,y gosh what lens did you break? The sleeves and neckline are awesome ❤
I totally do that too! Losing things into the void. UGH that's so annoying! For patterning, I also trace my patterns, but I use exam table paper as my pattern paper so I can trace directly to paper! It's cheap and easy, though you may have to buy like 24 rolls at a time.
❤ love it! looks incredible xx
Your dress is beautiful. Amazing skills 😊
Your very talented 😊
No seriously it's scary how you copy everything about Rachel Maksy's personality...
Stop copying Rachel Maksy's personality, everything about her mannerisms, her way of talking you copied it, you think you can fool us? Get your own personality jeez...
If I were that good of an actress, I wouldn’t be on UA-cam …. Or cast as table in my school production of Bugsy Malone 🙃
Hey! You fell off my algorithm so I’m just getting back. I wasn’t sure you were the one that makes the tiaras but I just saw them in the background. I’m the one that told you the royals wrap the base in velvet ribbon to match their hair. I see the top one in the background has velvet ribbon, did it work for you?
Hey there! 🖤 Yes I love the velvet base, although in future I need to use significantly thinner fabric, I used a very thick scrap piece and it was a nightmare, blood was shed 😅
@ oh no! I hope it wasn’t too much. Well, onward and upward!
Haunted?
Boo 👻👹
Great job!
Thank you ☺️
Beautiful
Thank you 🖤
Brilliant idea with the tracing on plastic to save the original pattern...as they are not cheap to buy.
My creativity works best when it’s saving money 😂
This is by far my favourite of your projects so far!
Aww thank you 🖤 I haven’t worn this for a while, I need to get it out and have a Jane Austin night or something 😄
I'm both impressed and envious. When I got married years ago I wanted to design and make my wedding dress but my father insisted, "No, you're BUYING it." My mother took me to a shop where I literally only had a choice of two dresses.
I’m so sorry that happened to you, maybe you could make your dream dress for an anniversary celebration 🖤 Our wedding was on a very small budget so we’re planning on doing a 10 year anniversary celebration where we can do everything we couldn’t afford right now 😄
So glad you were suggested to me! Love the transformations, they turned out so cute^^ And honestly I love the lantern, it's perfect for Halloween, which is still technically Fall time, so in my opinion it's not a fail! XD
Thank you 🥰 The lantern has definitely grown on me this past year 🍁🖤
Positively regal! I really wish there were more Balls for regular people. I know we gave them usually in the days before the Met Gala. And I am always watching for the quality work that goes into rl labors of loves.
Thank you 🥰 I’m dying to go to one of the mystic fate balls but the tickets are so very expensive (but also completely worth it) & I get so excited to see the work each year, especially in the weeks after when designers share the making videos and you can really see the details 😍😍
My goodness, YT started offering me your wedding dress video earlier this week, so finally had the time to watch it and I was fascinated. This bog witch dress is amazing! And as far as scaring the children? Why not? Congratulations on your 10K!
Thank you 🖤🖤 & luckily for the children a cold struck me down so we sat out the trick or treating this year, didn’t want to spread it 😄
Use a strip of tissue paper ontop of the two layers of silk
Thanks for the tip 🖤
Well wanting a haunted dress, no wonder the zip was hidden from you. The petticoat and skirt look fabulous, but I was watching strings fall so I think taking the time to at least whip stitch in a hem on the woven layers and then maybe pressing them flat would look better. The final dress is absolutely lovely, and fits you beautifully. Well done, beautiful bride.
Haha yes, that’s definitely how I’m looking back on it now 😂 The skirt did string a little on the day but honestly very little compared to most fabrics and it really didn’t bother me, I actually kind of liked the naked edge look rather than it being hemmed & thank you 🖤
I really enjoyed watching your mental process, always the first step in making a new item. I felt for you in your struggles with fabric and patterns, as I have done the same. It isn't a simple process, but you looked great, even though the hem appeared uneven, due to being a circle, too much bias.
Thank you 🖤 I do quite enjoy the planning phase of a new project, even if said plan goes out the window as soon as I start 😅
Would love to have seen a full size picture of you in the dress with your boots
Unfortunately my house is not big enough to get that shot in landscape 😂 I posted some pictures from the wedding on my community tab though, I think there’s a full sized one there 🖤
You’re great! Great fun, great personality, great humour, great attitude ✨🙌🏼😁 Congratulations- on the beautiful dress and… on Getting Married 🎉👏🏼 loved it, subscribed 👍🏼
Thank you so much 🥰 You’re so sweet to say all of that 🖤
Still at the beginning of this video but I would delve into fabric dying to have statement poe es with a sort of picture that goes over all pattern pieces instead of dying a print all over and then cut out and make garment or whatever. Do both options, you have enough fabric I reckon
Ooo that sounds fun! I haven’t really used fabric dyes or inks before but I’m about to for my current project, I think it’s definitely something I want to level up in and experiment with going forward ☺️
