Great video, clear and gives things to think about. A question: if you take out a mortgage at x years, can you remortgage at a later date and change the no. Of years? Or does the term remain?
👍
Hi good video thanks for sharing. I’ve got myself in a messy position of having several credit cards, was making the minimum payments fine but it got to the point where they were all running out of the balance transfer interest free period and would start accruing monthly interest. So I spoke to a debt charity in the UK I’ve setup a DMP with them and it seems my creditors have frozen any interest whilst they make payments on my behalf after I pay the charity which is a huge help. However, just 2 payments in and I’ve been sent default letters as the payments are now below the minimum payment. So if that goes on my credit file it’ll stay there for 6 years. My worry now is that I’ll have issues re-mortgaging in Jan 2026 (joint mortgage with my wife who has no defaults or credit card debts). I’ll see if I can avoid the defaults by paying the arrears and then upping the monthly payments to the charity to match the minimum payment as I’ve managed to get a better paid job and start in the next month. However as I’ve signed up for the DMP, I’m now not sure if I can do as I mentioned and avoid the defaults or whether I’d need to come off the DMP and speak to the creditors directly.
Hi, could you prove a deposit with untaxed contractual income coming into your bank account, aswell as your employd income.
Could you do an update for this video for 2024 please?
❤
Great video

can I buy another property after a year or so?
and rent out my right to acquire property?
I am trying to pay the help to buy by personal loan (half of the amount). Would that be advisable?
Lenders are the biggest racketeering and money laundering operations who buy and sell mortgages and forge documents, deeds and create false accounts. Mortgage means death agreement!!.Wealth by Stealth. No house is worth the price or your life. A home should not be creative financial product. What about those Endowment policies that were sold by banks to people with mortgages to pay for their end of term and then they said sell us your Endowment policy as they are not good anymore and then the banks were discovered to be insolvent and had to be bailed out by the Governments in UK and USA. Who benefited from those Endowment Policies?? Its should be people right to do checks on the Lenders!!!
Thank you for the insightful video. I'm in the UK and in the process of getting a mortgage to buy a property. I'm getting the majority of the house deposit through a gift from parents, the rest I have in a LISA account and in bitcoin. When I'm asked to provide 3 months worth of bank statements as proof of source of funds, how is a bank statement any proof as I have not got any money for the deposit sitting in my bank account? Thanks
Hi, we’ve cancelled our holiday and put £3600 of the money into our savings to go towards our deposit. Is this ok?
Hi my landlord is willing to do this for me but my name isn’t on the actual tenancy agreement. Only my dads is. But I’ve been registered here for a year. Do you think this will be accepted?
You might be ok, if you have been living there for over a year
@@Progressfs thank you for the reply. I have subbed 👍
What if deposit is several cash gifts from family in EU over 3 years from late 2020?
Hi, First of all thanks for all educational and informative videos. Can you please make a video on specific scenario for fixed term Is coming to an end. 1, remortgaging with the same lender and reduce term. What is the process like? Any consideration etc… 2, Remotaging with a new lender reduce term. What is the process like on the second scenario and any consideration? Alternatively if you can replay to me to my comment, I will be very grateful. Thanks

Are there many lenders open to defaults a year old
Hi, can I do a shared ownership without a deposit?
Hi Michael I have been trying to get on track so I can get a mortgage. I’ve had a few defaults from when I was in a bad position but they are all now settled and paid. I just wanted to know why is it ok that these defaults are allowed to be put back on your file once satisfied?
Could I borrow more on my very low mortgage balance and use it as deposit for BTL? Any pros and cons 😊. Many thanks
Really good. Thank you
Thanks for the informative video. I have over 3 years accounts but don't yet have this most recent tax year accounts as they aren't ready until later in the year. Will lenders be okay with this?
Yes they should be
@Progressfs Brilliant thank you for the advice
What about I sell my gold ?
Hi, I’m wondering if you could help. My mother sold her house to a housing association around 10 years ago. If she able to buy it back now

Can I get your phone number?
(2 years later) and a "surge in ultra long mortgages" is becoming the norm, to the extent, that payback is more and more extending well into retirement. The cause of this is a simple catch22 - sickeningly high house prices, still rising, because there is more and more money handed out in those mortgages. Why? because in order to meet those insane asking prices lenders have gladly... 1) Significantly increased mortgage salary multipliers, and... 2) Significantly increased payback terms No longer does 21 years at 2.5 x your salary give you enough money to buy a house, a sensible scenario that existed for many years. --> THIS IS EXACTLY WHY the UK housing and rental market is COMPLETELY destroyed !!! --> The ONLY way to reduce house prices is to increase interest rates...once you make these ultra high mortgages unaffordable to the majority, you can rest assure that the majority of sellers will reduce prices. Quickly !!! Unfortunately, the BOE won't do this effectively, and certainly not for a long enough time as to be effective. What to do ???
I thought age didn't matter. Thanks.
Government rip off. 🤦♂️ Who in their right mind would trust this government with this 🙄 They will make it their prerogative to shaft the owner at the end. They’re helping no one but themselves as usual 🥹
