    Question
I have a Life time Isa for a number of years , Just to use this example for ease of the question If I had £10000 in the lisa but only required 5000 for a 10% deposit, will the remainder be able to be withdrawn at the same time (via the solicitor) and put into my personal account to use on what I see for example legal costs , house improvements ect or do I have to use for a deposit only? Which would in effect make up to 11 or 12 % deposit, I cannot get a straight answer , including the provider Money box, have you got any solicitors how can shine some light on this please

Have you ever seen lenders withdraw an offer? I’ve recently secured a 5 yr fixed with NatWest at 3.49% but a bit nervous thinking about the possibility of them withdrawing the offer if interest rate go higher than expected. It for a new build that not ready until March and the builder is pushing for me to exchange and pay the deposit. Should I get something in the contract to protect me in case the lender withdraws the offer? Have you experienced this ?Thanks

I would never advise anyone to exchange early on a new build but appreciate the forceful tactics developers use. It is highly unlikely the lender would withdraw an offer but it may well expire meaning you would need either an extension or to reapply and the lender may ask you to select a new product from those available at the time.
