HH Recycling
Canada
Приєднався 23 тра 2023
We are a tiny recycling company in small town northern BC, Canada.
We hope to share our knowledge with you as we learn to look after our growing waste problem and try to keep as much as possible from entering our landfills. We will show you how to scrap items so that you can help put a little bit of cash back in your pocket while you steer the "garbage" into its proper place, where it can be reused, repurposed, or recycled.
We'll also try to have a bit of fun while we're doing it.

Snitches Get Switches (or something like that)
I'm really reaching here. One day I'll figure all of this out. Today I scrap out a couple of Square D switches from an old auction win. They sat out in the snow for a while so I didn't mind scrapping these out for the copper, brass, silver and mostly steel. It was actually a fun scrap out and lots of good recyclable items in here.

Remington Propane Heater VS Vevor Diesel Heater

In this video I compare my new Remington 16,000 BTU Single Tank Portable Propane Heater with my Vevor Chinese diesel heater to heat, or at least warm up my shipping container. Neither are really perfect for it, but I need to find some means of keeping my fingers warm while I sort and recycle scrap metal. In this video I show you my auction wins and some free McCray Refrigerators 1940s produce display coolers. They were made in Indiana, so that's why they were working up until this week when they were replaced. So far there's lots of aluminum, copper tubing, stainless and steel. In the auction wins there is vintage jewelry, electronics, propane and propane accessories, a Burnham PVG-5 natural ga...

This is just a video I am throwing up because I need to get something out there to do with recycling. I'm getting back into the groove of winter road maintenance and I'm trying to get back into the scrapping groove as well. As usual, I need to get things organized and I need to get motivated. I think getting some work done and out of the way will help. Link to the Scrapadilly Acres Discord serv...

This is a video about the new to me scrap truck. It's a 1975 Ford F500 and was a lumber mill truck before becoming a farm wagon. I'm going to get it going and put my deck with the hydraulic lift gate so I can start loading it up with scrap appliances, steel, aluminum and hopefully lots of brass and copper! Is it looking promising? Or is it looking not promising? 😂😂😂
Hey,great video! Snow looks great up there, it was a mess down here😂!
Thanks, buddy. Yeah, it's here until at least April, I imagine. -32C here this morning. It's not bad if it's cold, because it doesn't get slippery.
Ohh heck yeah, love the recycle 😊 subed 👍👍
Thanks, Anthony!
I had some of those a while back and the copper was shiny coated. Just carry on doing what you do and post what you feel like. I struggle with content and really would like to be monetized...it's bloody difficult if you have morals!!! I love what you do 👍
Thanks, Chris. Yeah, I think I should do a lot of things, but I just can't bring myself to do them. I knew from the start that it wasn't going to be a jump to riches and had planned on using UA-cam to supplement my income by the time I retire, so I still have 12 years to make it. Lol At least the days are getting longer now, right?
Generally they are coated with tin, like taps are chrome plated brass.
@@ajshropshire9068 yeah, I have heard both. I might grab a silver test kit, but probably not. I don't know if it would be worth trying to extract the silver from them, even if they were. Probably just go as #2. Thanks for the comment!
Another awesome video, blessings
Thanks very much!
You got a lot of snow, it is snowing here now, full support, new friend here, stay connected
I'm in northern BC. We get a lot, most years. Thank you.
Great tear down. I like videos that are not edited a lot and scenes from that area. Awesome
Thank you, my friend. I'm more a fan of people, rather than the actual scrapping, unless it's something I haven't seen before
@ I enjoy the raw unedited version than the fancy version. Enjoy seeing around where people live as I doubt I will ever travel there.
Hi Chris, I'll watch what ever you want to show. When you're out driving show the landscape or playing with your two best friends. I watch the whole video and if I didn't like it I won't. Keep it up.
Thanks Dale, I appreciate it. I'll try a few things out and see how it goes.
I like your videos just the way they are....I enjoy your tear downs of a lot of stuff...Your video of going back home at Christmas was neat. Fun to see different places...Just keep on being Chris 😂😂😂.
Thanks, Brent. I appreciate the feedback. How are things looking there? Haven't seen anything for a while. I'm thinking of doing some videos from Chetwynd this year and get some of the chainsaw carvings. We'll see how it goes.
I dont know anything to really add to growing channel. Mine dosent generate hardly any subscribers. But i like your content and the way you do the videos.
Thanks, Tony. I'm just thinking out loud to see if anything pops out. It's a crap shoot anyhow. Take care of your bad self.
You look cold buddy it’s cold here too can’t do nothing!! Looks like some goodies inside of it buddy! Nice little pices of copper it all adds up! Another awesome video my friend and you keep doing you buddy whatever you enjoy doing my friend! I enjoy watching your videos!
Thank you, Scrapman! You rock, my friend. I hope it warms up for you.
I always enjoy your content and it takes time to get monetized myself I don't care if I do or don't but you are not me lmao and that's probably a good thing don't change your format you are doing great thank you for sharing this with us six stars brother
Thanks, Joe. I'm just looking for little suggestions to help it along. I think I figured out something I can do that will be fun, if the dogs will cooperate. Lol I hope you are feeling better, my friend.
@HHRecycling yes sir my leg is doing great and my toe is coming along nicely and I hope you are doing well also my friend
@@josephcormier5974 Feeling better every day, buddy. I'm glad you're on the mend.
Keep at it buddy! I should patent towels for scrapping 😂 No matter how good a video is, if folks don’t click on the video it doesn’t matter. Work on thumbnails and titles. Especially titles. No need to ask for subs or like, I used to but I’m not sure it’s all that effective. Shorts will get you subs but if they don’t watch long form videos the algorithm will not like that. Something to consider.
You could call them Cleanitall towels. I am going to sit down each day and try to redo a video or two for thumbnails, titles, tags etc. I just don't want to do the stuff that works for other people. I'm just stubborn. I am thinking of a way to do shorts that may work for the longer videos, but I'm sure it's been tried before. Thanks for the advice, today and every other day.
@ I actually like that you want to blaze your own path and honestly I think you can make it work. You’re welcome!
Myślałem że takie wyłączniki są bogatsze. Pozdrawiam.😄😄👍👍
I was worried it was all steel, so I was pretty happy with that. Take care, my friend.
Get your subscribers any way you can, remember the goal is to get monetized, after that subs don't matter ! what pays the money is views not subs. so your titles and thumbnails will be the most important thing to concentrate on , most of my views come from non subs. So stay focused on whos watching now not who used to watch
I'll take your advice into consideration. Thanks buddy.
@@HHRecycling your very welcome
@@nicejunk666*you’re 😂 Sorry I couldn’t resist
@ 😡🤣
You can ask halfway thru and the end it would not be annoying
Yes it would, I'll have to make it entertaining!
@@HHRecycling even better
Throw out the copper its the steal you want
I heard that it's the meal, and I'm starving!
@ 🤣🤣🤣
there must be 14 pounds in silver contacts
11, but you're close.
@@HHRecycling dang it
ive been focusing on getting monitized also. youtube is tough. getting the hours is the hardest part. Shorts seem to be good for gaining subs but i dont think many of those people watch the longer format vids. good luck buddy. let me know if you figure it out. i could use some help also. cheers
Yeah it's a battle, but I never expected to be monetized for a few years, so I don't get my hopes up. I'm just trying to think of something small that doesn't change who I am by trying to be something else I'll definitely let you know, buddy.
Wow, things seem to be coming together ! Nice organization. Those bags are rated for 1000 pounds . We use them at work a lot !
I don't think I'd ever fit enough to test it but we'll see!
@HHRecycling I hope you do brother! Get some massive loads in !!
Good one. 👍You’re doing great 💯
Thanks, Kev. I appreciate it.
Lol idk how i missed this one. 😂😂😂 pretty impressive!
I have a useless gift! 🎁 Lol thanks, buddy.
Lol im 💀 again

Hey Switches get stitches! Channels fine Chris! Them boxes would make some nice cabinets for your scrap shack ! Those (silver) copper pieces are silver coated. Good for collection in a copper cell ! Just keep being yourself. Some of us appreciate you letting us be a part of you and Jerris life. Much love brother! Enjoy your snow and dont get stitches 😂! Gloves come in handy 😉
Thanks, Adam. Much appreciated. I'll hang onto those if it's worth it. Maybe if I get enough of it I'll have an ounce. What are these gloves you speak of?
I've yoused scrap it all method to to git cover or brass out of those transformers and switches its a good method
For sure, He's got a few good ideas. Thanks for the comment and for watching!
Thank you buddy!
🤙🤙👍 we got 2" of snow last night, alot for us 🥶✌️

New subscriber here! Just came over from the Can Cave!
Right on! I appreciate it!
We just bought one today and both of our car almost blew up using this motomaster booster cable we got from Canadian tire… it created a fire in the battery
Oh that's crazy. How could that have happened? I had an AGM battery catch fire from charging it from a regular 12 volt charger, but that was because I didn't know you needed to charge them at a lower amperage.
Humidity, need to dry that in during the dryest part of your seasons

Yes, it sure is. Happy new year to you as well, my friend.
Such a great video. The tour round the village especially! Always feels strange going back as so much changes over the years. I'd leave the container until summer when it's dried out, means waiting but less stress. Stay warm 😎👍
@@ecoscrapper3501 Thank you, my friend! Yeah, I am going to hold off. No point in fighting with it because someone always loses a fight, and it's usually me.
autoplay brought this up. So is there money in this? I see fridges out alot. I never thought to take them.
@@DJMcKay-b6w Thanks, auto play! It depends on what you want to do. I get $18 to drain the refrigerant and then whatever the scrap metal is worth. If you're really interested, I can try to figure it out. Maybe do a whole break down video.
Any chance you still have this?
@@DJMcKay-b6w no, sorry. I gave it to the fixit guy. I think he sold it for parts.
@HHRecycling no problem bud
Wood burning stoves pull out moisture, and propane creates moisture . Insulation is a great help. Thank for sharing Chris.
@@ThatsRightRecycling I wish I had a wood stove. Maybe next winter. Thanks buddy.
@HHRecycling you are welcome, Chris
Damn youtube is slacking on notification buddy. I just received it now.
No worries. Thanks for coming by.
You can never go home but that's a magical hometown. Letting your window freeze is a great trick of northern life. Far worse things to spend on than your fur buddies. Maybe you need to put an air gap over shipping container? Much bigger job though.
It was a great place to grow up. It gives you a sense of community that I think a lot of people are missing nowadays. I think that's why I like UA-cam. I feel like I know people here and we seem to have a pretty good community in the sense that we see each other quite often and can strike up conversations that mean something, if we feel like it. It's why I like watching channels like yours where people are just real and doing their thing. I drive the plow truck with no heat on the windshield when it's snowing, and the other guys think I'm crazy. At least I'm not stopping every 15 minutes to break the ice off my wiper blades. I keep a bit on my toes though. No need to get them frostbitten again. My original plan was to insulate from the outside, and I still might do that, but it will be a lot more time and money, for sure.
Mmmmm. Scotch.
enjoyed the vid. 2025 will be awesome
Thanks, Vern. I agree. I need to make it great.
