Is that model heavy enough to grind down coarse knockdown to a smooth finish?
Sweet!👍
How long to grind off half incg per square foot?
Hello- I love the car. Great Job. I have the same car and I am doing an LS swap this winter. I got the LS3 6.2 Aluminum block. I was interested in the interior and radio. Did your custom build the coffee holder and the radio support? The dash is very cool.
The double din radio piece is from year one. The cup holder is from Amazon, it’s just a universal stainless steel cup holder.
Gee great, looks like a tedious nitemare....
Lq9?
Im jealous
黒のボディーカラー ド派手なデカール Tバールーフ 完璧❤
Beautiful wheels
Headlights suck tho
The bandit and snowman would be proud 👏🏼
Looks amazing. I love how you kept it (for the most part) stock looking. I've got a 1979 myself. Black with a silver and red bird. Aside from headers I believe its all stock. Mine is a true time capsule. 35k miles I have the records of all the owners prior to me, build sheet, window sticker, the brochures, owers manuals etc. I need to get new weatherstripping, around the windows, but next to that she is good to go.
Why do thay always gotta be auto i mean ffs if you go trought all this trouble to dk a cool resto mod you better put a t56 in there manual is fun ti drive auto is for boomer
The main reason is because I was able to do a complete Ls swap with 4l60e for the cost a a t56. If you want to send me the money I’d be happy to fix it lol.
Y el motorrrr
Beautiful, simply beautiful!
Gorgeous build bro!!!
❤
When you do this with a pool close by, is it necessary to empty the pool?
77-78 and no Olds 403 PLZ
Too bad, it's an AUTOMATIC..
Nice ride❤
Just gonna need a video with pure sound chief
I have heard on the street that there is footage of drag racing, didn’t really see any and looks like you were there for a long day.
I thought they had drag racing at Power Tour. You didn't do any of that?
Super Nice! 🔥🔥🔥How did you mount the Shaker to the Engine?
Thanks! I made a bracket out of some flat stock and angle iron. The bracket bolts to the fuel rails.
@@reeltoreelauto-9719 nice… you should make more and sell them!!! 🤔
I appreciate the fact that you actually kept the shaker a shaker. I know a lot of people over the years just screwed them to the hoods instead of the carbs and I hate that.
How could you sacrifice the stock steering wheel and dash and gauges. Thats part of the cool package.
That dust is insane. It’s filthy, dangerous (silicone, etc), and should have been collected, not allowed to indiscriminately blow into the neighborhood. Nothing can justify this.
Did you miss the large vacuum connected to the grinder? Two 55 gallon trash cans were filled with the dust.
You have no filter or bag in vacuum did you miss all the dust blowing out into the air
Take it easy snowflake
I love the Braket made for the shaker scoop ha
Is this dangerous? Would this cause exposure to asbestos fibers from an older pool built in 1992?
No asbestos will be released from concrete, However a particulate mask, or respirator is required due to the amount of concrete dust that is generated. Failure to wear a mask could result in a deadly case of silicosis.
Ridiculous, taking a Pontiac and putting a Chevy engine in? You couldn’t find an 81 Camaro or Z28?
You’re right, I modern, fuel injected car is garbage compared to the Pontiac 301 that this car came with, and that was long gone before I got it. I would love to see something you’ve built.
Some of the 80-81 came stock with 305 engines so the ls is fine
It’s a GM engine and if you don’t know they stopped making Pontiac engines a long time ago so if you want something this nice and drivable you do what you have to. Not like he put a ford motor in it. Plus let’s see your car.
this is a budget build , I would love to know how much was spent . I guess you could call any cost spent a budget build if you started with an amount , a budget build to me is you did the work yourself to keep costs down , if you spent $25,000.00 or less to build this car that would be a budget build but my guess is , without knowing all the details is this car took $50,000.00 to build , an engine alone could be $20,000.00 and doing that makes it not a budget build along with paying others to do all the work
I just looked through the comments and you said you have owned the T/A for 15 years or more so you didn't get it at todays prices and I see it cost $15,000.00 to build which means you did a lot of work yourself and didn't go out and buy a new Eng. / Trans./ ECM and Wiring pkg. So I do consider building this car for $15,000.00 a budget build . Good job and I would like to watch videos of the build if you have them Avail. because I have a 75' T/A that I would like to build like this but may not because then I wouldn't be using a Pontiac V8 and it would be tough to keep the Shaker Hood scoop functional
Awesome car! Excellent drone footage! 👍
What’s your engine mounts and crossmember
ICT billet plates with standard smallblock Chevy motor mounts. Stock turbo 350 trans crossmember with the mount on late cutoff and re-welded.
0:09 dude cooks a steak with his car
I was in high school when this car came out. I thought it was the coolest thing. It still is cool. Never got the chance to own one. Nice job.
Cool Music, Pontiac could of stayed in business if they kept building this 1 car
Probably still blew the budget
Holy crap, my STOCK 1985 Corvette ran 8.93 at 79 mph in the 1/8th, guess it was fast compared to a lot of new cars even. Sixty foot times were 1.93 seconds, and quarter at 13.93 at 97.97 mph.
Very nice!
Those seats are great. What are they?
The are generic racing seats from summit racing.
Nice but lose the music. We want engine noise
How much was this project roughly?
Around 15k.
It’s an 81 that’s no bandit.
Hook a garden hose to the grinder. Slurry is better than dust!
I bought a new 2001 WS6 Trans Am, 6- speed T-top. Short headers, tune, Small cam, 373 gears.. 370 RWHP. Put a smile on my face every time I drove it.. 3rd gear on factory tires , Side ways at 60 MPH.. Had to put nittos 315s on it..
GM Should take orders for making the same Trans am to convince them to stop building rolling garbage no one wants anyway !
Sorry to tell you but a 1981 ain’t no bandit!!!LMAO
Well, there is technically no bandit trans am for any year, so I’m not really sure what your point is. Everyone knows that bandit trans am is the generic term for a black and gold special edition second gen.
Badass ride!!
Lol...that vacuum lol
