snakeheads apparently took over my 2nd or 3rd basd lake i been told.its so weedy u cant really fish it after may. itd got these crazy jungle vines thst go out like 10 feet from shore. there are 2 piers to fish from.might give ut a shot on sat ir try river

i had best day today 6 big bass and i had a whopper on for bout 10 sec then 5 feet in front of me gets off .all on a roboworm ned worm wacky rigged.lol . much better than the puny bass i been catchin.

We've had a hot humid summer and live up towards morgantown so we fish the mon!

i been usin crankbaits since mid 80s.but since the squarebill wss created i never use my regular crankbaits anymire only cause the squarebills work so much better.yo zuri makes some really nice ones and the kvd strikeking & the red eye shad in spring is pure money

Hey Frank, new subscriber here and a WV native as well from northern part of the state. Is public access an issue on the rivers you fish? I’d be concerned about finding a place to park mor3 than anything. What’s your personal best smallmouth? Most of what I’ve caught are 12 inches or less, but still loads of fun. I caught an 18 inch and probably 3 pounds more or less, but it felt much bigger while bringing it in.

Central Georgia has been hot as well with little rain until yesterday. No big fish lately but did catch a 1 pounder on the walk back to the car. So, you ain't the only one !

I was out Sat and nothing was hitting the normal stuff. I switched up to a Nikko Natural Helgramite with no weight on a #4 hook. It sank about 3" below the surface and I slayed them. Had to fish super slow. Finesse fishing at it's finest worked this weekend. This morning a 1/10 oz weedless ned rig with a TRD got me 6. But yea, it is SUPER tough right now.

Love the scenery ! Was in Welch from Th-Sunday and around to Pineville and Oceana watching the water levels but not able to get in one and try them out. Water level is crazy for y’all ! Tight lines and keep em coming.

You don’t need a measure board for wade fishing. Try using a roll up measuring tape which is lightweight and takes up very little space. Too much useless equipment is not worth carrying. Just saying!

Here in south central Kentucky has been poor as well. I’m going to rig up a few drop shot rigs and look for deeper water.

My favorite time of year here in WA. The night bite has been fire! Heading out tonight at 11 and will fish until 8 am.

The dog days of summer are tough. They have a lot to eat and feed in small windows. Low water doesn't help at all either. Keep grinding though I enjoy watching!

Downsize your tackle and think finesse. I have been catching them on ultralight lures with some success.
