Hi, im starting a bot army and the first gold exchange for irl money in brighter shores. What items/monsters would be worthwhile to target for maximum gains?

I got so bored of this game within 10 mins. I hate that it's not open world you have to follow a story basically it's boring as hell.

i dont see vendor prices rising at all, what i could see happening tho is a purchase cap/time limit on stock

Fear potions, anything that saves time from purchase and for use will be worth investing in

Are we sure that vendor only materials will be tradeable on the market or possibly just gatherable items?

Hmm I like where your head is at, but idk if I’m willing to take the risk. I feel like they really need to redesign how pots work if they want them to have any real market value beyond the niche/hardcore playerbase. I think 5% is trash. The extra effort to keep the buff active isn’t worth the extra xp, imo. Even if you kept perfect uptime on them, you aren’t gaining much. You will get 20 days’ worth of xp in 19 days. One extra day of xp, but only if you’re constantly monitoring your buff and pausing your loop to refresh it. Plus, the time for your character to drink it is time you could be moving to the next node. The more I think about it, the 5% really doesn’t justify itself.

Anything to do yet in the game besides grind?

You still need to consider the time it takes to off-load these potions. Many players with wealth actually worth trading will not buy 5%'s, +40s, or other vendor items from players, except for bulk items assorted items such as Bread / Mixed Veggies etc. to save time when crafting. Most of the demand will be on the upper end +70s, +80s, passive pots, and 8-10% EXP pots, especially while it's direct player to player and no AH (or websites / discords designed to be an AH established yet).

Why to stock up on potions that you could buy from vendors anyway? Are you saying those vendors will not sell them anymore?

It will certainly be interesting to see how player trading impacts store prices and wether or not the reason to buy certain items for more money than the vendors is strickly for convenience sakes rn ive invested alot of gold into enchanting my primary tools but i may need to start gearing up for the release of trading. All ways a good idea to stockpile goods before a game updates if you have prior knowledge to what may happen can earn yourself good profit.

The hopeport 5% potions are low level, and easy to make. There will be too many for it to really increase in price. I expect them to flood the market with more supply than demand.

idk about stocking up on the 20% healing pots, they are pretty universally considered weak and barely out heal the damage you take while drinking them, and considering you need to reach episode 4 to unlock trading I feel people will have enough personal experience to know that as well that they likely will want to look into higher healing % pots. Not to mention it only requires 2 alchemy for 20% pots, so every account in existence can easily make them. which is not true for higher healing % pots where part of the value comes for people who are unable to craft them themselves currently. I'm sure there will be a small market for them, but the slightly higher % healing pots seem like a safer bet.

My only question is, are the items we can buy from vendors, i.e Kevin’s, going to be available on the marketplace? It seems strange to allow items that can only be purchased from vendors to be purchased at a different price. Nobody will buy and sell those items at a loss if that ends up being the case.

Any advice from big youtubers or guides will already be factored into market price when trading launches. Now bread will only sell for 1 or 2 copper above shop price i bet because everyone will load up. Look for things nobody is talking about. Personally i wish theyd update it so you could bank and sell gas leeches. But the best investment you can make is in yourself i think... spend your money on enchantments to get to higher levels and making things that cant be bought from a shop like unchooned weapons.

Hmm this might get me back into it. But I'm just not about the grind anymore so I'll probably end up quitting in a few weeks again

It also bummed me out that I couldn't use range or projectile weapons as a main hand weapon

So I'm lvl 60 in guard, so I'm going to lose 30 levels in that episode but those levels will be put towards the obelisk? So what's the point in living past say 50?

Good to know lvs won't be wasted lol im almost 500 minefighter cuz want that cape. I want a surge or dash ability I keep hitting my surge dive keybind😂 for rs.

Solid update. Andrew has been doing some good things in that last few updates. I’m stoked for this!

make different builds for what? there is no "horizontal" content in the game just a strict linear boring grindfest game is bleeding players day by day slowly, this should've been a beta (perhaps alpha) release instead of an early access I am not even saying this in an ill-willed way anymore, but no matter what (even if great) changes / updates they make, the game lost the momentum, it had the time to shine and it won't be able to capture the audience's attention again. save yourself some time guys, quit now before it dies, so u lose less of your time

What has made Brighter Shores unique with combat and episodes now is being made into completely generic MMO style gameplay. Im very sad about this. It doesnt need to change, adding skill trees sure, but the mechanics are unique. It needs more pvm content and more communication i.e. the video diaries from the team thats what it really needs. Bad news for me unfortunately.

I have close to 500h on the game and I love the simplicity of it. These new changes seem very complicated to me with all the mechanics and caps, and I'm afraid since I've already completed the tutorial that I will not be able to understand it.

I hope they have some plan to prevent ranged or speedy characters from just kiting melee characters in PvP

What do you think about the episodic nature of the game? Personally I'm not a big fan, I would rather have branches and have a larger world to explore.
