IMPORTANT note - I think they will be adding bosses to the game whereby the level 300-500 items will be very useful for that content. Remember the start of the game, is not the end game. They will be updating the game consistently with new content and features that will make professions even more useful. Please Like and Subscribe, I will be doing a progression series even if you don't play the game yourself you can check back to see content late game and as it progresses :)
Excellent video. Seeing a lot of people get upset because they think they are "resetting" in each episode, not giving thought to the fact that everything is tied together to combine for a massive endgame economy. Great work brother.
How is it not resetting though? You can only skill in certain zones and combat/gear is locked to each zone. You level from 0 in each chapter. It doesn't feel like an mmo. I want to love the game but this mechanic ruins it.
In theory it sounds like there’s some interplay between the professions and players, but in practice the grind seems so prohibitive, that the person willing to get one profession extremely high is also willing to get the others high as well, negating the need to trade with others 🤷🏻♂️
It is pretty interesting to me how split people are in their opinion on this game. Personally I like it, I do think there are a good couple of hours cool content in the game to do and there will come more so just like in Rs I tend to look at this more like a marathon than a sprint.
I don't understand where is the point of leveling a profession for example forager if players that are training herblore can just buy all the ingredients from the merchants. Are there some ingredients that can't be bought from merchants ?
Good question - as you level up alchemist to be able to buy the foraged items they get incredibly expensive whereby you lose a lot of silver per potion made. So i think foragers will sell slightly less than the vendors and in bulk.
That’s what I thought, even if there’s still no point in selling to players since selling to merchants has no fees or anything like that. We’ll see when the player to player trading gets released, I don’t Andrew forgot such an important detail. Thanks for all the work you are doing for the community, keep it up ✌🏻
@@BrighterShoresCentral I just realized that merchants buy your products for much less than they sell them for. When player trading becomes available, players could profit by selling items to each other at a price higher than what merchants pay but lower than what merchants charge. This means merchants will likely set the maximum price for an item.
Right now we have 4 episodes , when he is going over the skills you can see hope port and hopeforest and the mines and necropolis, those are the 4 episodes with there own unique professions
Everyone who’s bailing on this game is acting like this game is supposed to be perfect when it comes out or that it should follow the exact model as RS. It’s day 2! I feel we’ve had so many fake “early access” games that stay in early access to avoid legal drama that everyone expects even early access games to be ready. Imagine RS in its first 2 years and what it is now. Give it time or come back in a year. But crapping on it when it’s this early is crazy. I like and have constructive feedback too on quality of life things (like not having to exit out of the menu vs. just clicking to walk).
my issue is there doesnt seem a point to the professions its just grind for the sake of grind. For example, I level cooking the food I make has 1 purpose to sell to a npc. I try fishing only 2 purposes i sell to a npc or the fish that i can use to make food i end up selling to a npc. The mobs you fight arent much of an issue as long as you attack with your bow then move to your melee and you regen health both during and then at the end of the fight. Nothing feels like it has a purpose. Its like a single player ironman, it needs fleshing out
that is more a chapter 1 skill thing, which makes sense to give new players some starting money for tools etc. All of chapter 2 and 3's skills have in game use other than just money
@@Stormsurgez sounds like a terrible way to get people to enjoy the game. Its a backwards design and its suppose to you know entice people from the start. What your saying is the boring stuff gets introduces first.

but what is the point or the end game? As far as i can see. Its only to get that magical number of 500. Nothing is really new. No matter if you are lvl 50 or 500

Hey, @BrighterShoresCentral - I'm sorry, but I do not like this game at all, there are so many flaws making it not fun. I appreciate your coverage and I really looked forward to it, but I'm out. Im curious to see how they make combat more complex for bosses, right now it seems super basic hit for hit all dps .

I really hope when player trading is released, all of these NPCs that sell materials for crafting to be removed so the economy is player based
Thoss items will be useless later on dont worry.
How to train passive activies? i haven't seem them yet..
yeah, important part of the game I covered a bit of this in my previous 20 tips video

Level 20 in skill, then use knowledge points
