Kubota L3902 4WD Night Ride In The Woods On A Cold Winters Night With Some Snow. A Fun Ride!

I took my Kubota L3902 50th anniversary special on a night ride in the woods. It was a clear, cold night with some snow on the ground to make it better. Put it in 4WD and head into the woods for a fun time. These tractors are so much fun. They are made to be worked.
Vintage Camp Toaster VS New Camp Toaster. Cooked On A Coleman Stove. And The Winner Is....
Переглядів 1,2 тис.4 місяці тому
The vintage toaster is one that my parents brought on our camping trips when we were kids. It was rusty. I soaked it in vinegar, cleaned it with a tooth brush. And gave it a coating of olive oil. Works good as new. The new one was made in China which I bought off of Amazon. They are both camp toasters. I cook on my Coleman white gas camp stove. They are both very different from one another. One...

The differences between a vintage 1967 and a newer 2001 Coleman Lantern. Includes a mantle change.

This video compares a 1967 and a 2001 Coleman Lantern. It also shows you how to find the date on your lantern. Besides being two different colors, the vintage is built more ruggedly. The newer one is perhaps a bit brighter, and has the ability to burn two different types of fuel. They both use #21 mantle. One new mantle after the initial burn had a tear in it. I was able to replace the mantle. ...
Heating My Wood Shop With An Antique Atlanta Stove Works 23 Box Wood Stove. Free heat!

This is the wood stove my grandfather used to heat the basement when he was making axe handles. I'm not quite sure of the age. There is a 1918 on the bottom of the stove. If it is over 100 years old, it works fine. I use it in my wood shop. The winter makes it too cold to work comfortably in the shop. Now it affords me the opportunity to work in the shop year round. I cut wood on my property, s...

Great mower! I purchased one in 2020 and use it commercially. Currently has 1600 hours on it. The only issues I have had are with wiring for PTO switch and starting issues due to safety switches. I couldn't be happier though. Great selection and great video! Enjoy

The new lantern appears to have the mantels positioned higher than the old lantern, perched high and tucked snugly under the hood. The new orientation has advantages for seeing, based on the most common usage scenarios. However if you're looking for possums in the upper tree branches, it's distinctly less effective than the old design. For bank fishing at night, I like the new configuration.

I use to use the wire type for years. Last year I discovered if you just throw your bagel or toast on a gas BBQ it works great. Get the first slide the darkness desired then flip it over, butter it and when the second side is done its perfect.

The older model is superior for the simple reason that it uses graphite packing rather than rubber o-rings for sealing purposes. That old 220 is a workhorse.

Two recommendations. Do something with the heads of the bolts. Presently someone can break the glass, reach in with a wrench and loosen the bolts. I recommend either grinding the bolt heads or coating them with something like shoe goo to prevent someone from taking a wrench to them. I would also put a piece of wood between the two sections of the window so the bottom section can't be raised. A piece of wood and a couple of nails.

If someone is willing to cross your field and break into your remote barn they will likely have something to cut your padlock or they will crawl through those bars and unlock the door from inside. Doesn't seem like much security to me.

Now consider how you exit in the event of a fire. Thats the usual problem with window bars.

    • @johndeweyoutdoors7725
      @johndeweyoutdoors7725 Місяць тому

@@johndeweyoutdoors7725 I would suggest a second exit at the opposite end of the building (that is SOP with buildings containing flammable material or high power electrical equipment (eight sub-station explosions later, I can confirm this is a good idea). Making the doors easy to open blindfolded is occasionally a necessity too. Having your flammables in a fire resistant steel cabinet is a good idea too. If you handle acids or alkali’s, an easy to access water supply may save your skin (literally).

When encountering a stubborn small machine screw, with thread locker, apply concentrated heat to the screw. I use a small butane torch. Most thread locking adhesives will break their bond with heat applied. In the future use, Loctite 222 purple on small machine screws.

Don't use a torx with the center hole. They will break. Use a solid torx, you should have no issues. Keep the torx head seated as you remove, to avoid rolling it out and stripper the head.

Hey John! Your channel popped up in my feed this morning, so I thought it would be fun to check it out. I've heated several shops and outbuildings over the years without insulation at first or at all and the wood stove is the way to go if you don't feel like kicking on a torpedo heater. I wouldn't worry too much about anything catching fire, that shop looks like you keep it clean and keep it attended during a burn cycle. Anyway, thanks for sharing this vintage stove - it is pretty neat that you're keeping it alive instead of just replacing it!

You did not cover a lot of things , First of all they both will burn gasoline as a last resort . The new lantern has a plastic pick up tube in it , that is why it has a heat shield in it . The older one has all brass valve and pick up tube , last longer . These will also light and burn when it is too cold for propane or butane . Older is better that is why so many around .
