New subscriber and I get the impression you have a dry and sarcastic sense of humour and I really like that. I look forward to watching more of your epic adventures 😁
Speed cameras in Norway do not register motorcycles, only police take you. We wash all visitors, so they know how it is to live here! 😉 Great video again Liz! Keep up the great work! 😊😊
good morning Liz, from Scotland,💐, great video, your have a great smile and your looking very happy,💐👍, be safe enjoy and I'm looking forward for the next one,💐🏴😎👍
Tie down advice on a choppy sea. 1st gear and strap over as normal with the ratchet on the side stand side. Then do an turn round the webbing and back through its self with the long end. Next take the long end up to the bike round something back down and tie it off. That way the bike will never slide sidways under the strap. I have seen that happen.
Everyone here in Norway enjoys the right of access to, and passage through, uncultivated land in the countryside. The right is called the allemannsrett and there are no laws of trespass in Norway. Just dont walk through peoples gardens! Much, much cheaper to buy food at a supermarket than at a petrol station. Try Kiwi, Rema 1000 or Coop shops. Have a great trip Liz.
Hi Liz. When you strap your bike down you want the ratchet on the sidestand side. You may have noticed the bike leaning up, away from the sidestand when you strapped it down? It’s because the strap is pulled towards the ratchet. Hope this helps 👍
Strongly recommend you get off the E39 at Flekkefjord and ride the coast road to Egersund, by way of Hauge, Rekefjord and Stapnes. One of the most beautiful routes in this part of Norway (long-time resident and rider)
The roads wouldn't be the same without Pinky on them. I couldn't help but smil when you said no bikes didn't bode well. You proved in Iceland you and Pinky could do it, I'm sure this trip will be no different 😁
hi, i met you at karmoy, when you were filling up gas.. I remember your bike very well.. If I wasn't in such a hurry, I would show you a fantastic place :) Have a good trip on the road, and drive carefully
Thank you! Was it at that red gas tanker? I think I remember, that was the time my bike had a little tantrum when I went to ride away 😅 I found great roads, maybe the same ones you like 😁
@@R1_Liz yes it was with the red tank, there are many beautiful roads there :) Are you going to take the same way back again? If so, send me a message and I'll show you some great places here on Karmoy, if you have time :) I was on UA-cam today, and then I saw a picture, and thought it's the same bike I saw you on, so now I'm going to follow you here on your channel :)
Thanks! There were people on it - not many, they were parked on the upper car deck so I didn’t see until I reached the cafe 😅 it was weird riding onto an empty floor though
Liz, you mentioned poor fuel consumption, I've noticed on a few of your vlogs that when cruising on long straights that you're still in the lower gears, get into 6th gear and drop the revs. Scotland would be a lot cheaper 😊😊😊😊
That’s not all the time, I forget how to ride while I’m chatting away - usually once I shut up I notice I’m in the wrong gear. Equally I’ll be doing 30mph in 6th because I’ve forgotten to shift back down again…
Still not choosing the best time of year to visit Norway :-/ In regards to the missing sticker: There are two identical ferries servicing the Hirtshals-Kristiansand route (Bergensfjord and Stavangerfjord), so you might have been on the other one last time.
But it’s beautiful in autumn! And I don’t mind the rain and cold, although I’ve had to turn south eventually. This is definitely the same boat - I can see a tiny bit of my tyre poking out from under another sticker - someone covered me up ☹️😅
You think of Twilight? As soon as I heard the kids, I would have thought of the Blair Witch Project, sh*t my pants and would have legged it out of there!! Great video btw… 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
You said you could hear cow bells, so perhaps the prints you saw were cow prints? Anyway, Norwegian moose are not dangerous to humans - actually no wild animals in Norway are - so if there were moose, they would run away as soon as they heard or smelled you. If you are afraid of any wild animal in Norway, just make sure to make some noise to avoid the slim chance of you walking straight upto one and startling it. What kills people in nature in Norway are people falling and or cold weather. So you had good instincts turning around before it got dark.
Yes, I’ve been told not to worry about them but even so - I know in the Uk if you go through them so many times the police might look for you based on your appearance 😅
@@R1_Liz The speed traps doesn't take pictures of motorcycles at all in Norway. In Norway the police have to prov beyond any doubt that they have identified the driver. The owner of the vehicle is not responsible and can't be forced to tell who used the vehicle at the time. So even if they were able to identify your bike, since you wear helmet, it's impossible to identify you as the driver.
Hey Liz. The currency is like : 1 GBP = 14nkr / 1 Euro = 11.7nkr , and yeah it's expensive in Norway sadly! Just out of curiosity, how come you travel to Norway this late in the season?
Thank you! I wanted to travel in September but my trip was pushed back to October, still, I want to see the autumn colours in the north so I’ve come to Norway and can endure some bad weather. And yes, it’s cheaper and easier in autumn when there are fewer tourists.

Quick question though your inspiring me to film my own rides just for myself as memories, so what start up pack would you recommend camera and mount wise on a budget?? Enjoy the rest of your trip stay safe. 🤗🤗
Another great UA-cam video following you on your adventure always a pleasure love your comantry and humour 😊

Shhh ... don't tell too many people. I get a kick out of videos sternly warning us MC riders of the peril caused by speed cameras here in Norway.

Camouflage speed cameras.
That was new for me 😊

You may need winter tires on the s1k😅 started to snow on mountain passes and in north
Keep watching bc I find out exactly this later on 😂🥶

Looks like the ferry was only for you reserved. 😊
It was so weird and more than a little worrying!
Absolutely loving this and looks like it's going to be your best trip to date so far. What useless Sat Nav are you using by the way?
Thanks! It’s the BMW app connected to my bike. It’s ok but it sometimes requires a bit of supervision…
👋😘

I found the cow bells on the sheep, but the prints could have been big deer or anything, I just freaked myself out 😅
All speed cameras are amounced
Isn't Norway the one with speed cameras that only face the front of a vehicle, so can't get a bike's plate (at the rear)?
Correct. Speed cameras in Norway is even adjusted to not take "register" bikes. It's just don't take pictures even if you go above speed limit.

... stemme det :)
Attention: The left side is the wrong side... Welcome to left hand drive country
Ok but please sympathise, us brits are brainwashed and we think driving on the left is normal 🥲
@R1_Liz We also drive on the 'wrong' side. Just don't tell anybody else. LoL

The tracks you saw on the walk are from cows most likely.
No they are 100% moose/reindeer/unicorn
It's honestly irrating in Norway with the moose (mooses? Meese?) looking over your shoulder all the time 🤣
