Very good analysis! I never predict fights because anything can happen reagardless of how favorite a fighter may be. I just enjoy the breakdowns and mindful analysis. I'd just say though that "MOST TIMES" hand speed, footwork, boxing skills, great cardio, range and pace control, along with a strong controlled mind/emotion (Bivol definitely owns these virtues) BEAT strenght, agressiveness and power punch. We'll see, let's enjoy the fight between these 2 great fighters inside the ring and respectful gentlemen outside.

Often times when a fighter is underestimated he end up giving the public a big surprise. I would not dismiss a strong young fighter coming from 2 big wins with great stamina and heavy hands. AJ is a great fighter as we know but... if DDD is ible to push the pace and make AJ to fight at a HIGHER PACE and CLOSE DISTANCE... DDD may have a bbig chance to pull it off. We'll see. Hopefully the judges will render a fare decision should they go to distance.

The WBA and the WBC are to blame . Berlanga should’ve been ordered to fight Morrell Jr. for the right to fight Canelo. Berlanga would’ve been moved down the rankings for refusing the Morell order but since it was never officially ordered that never happened. The WBC even blocked Bivol coming down to 168 to fight Canelo by refusing to sanction the fight. They wanted Bivol to basically renounce Russia. How does that make any sense being that he lives in Canada. Lol

I've backed DDD to win by stoppage at 6/1. DDD throws looping shots that will land on the side of AJ's head and we have seen how his senses get scrambled. Obviously AJ could get him first.

I've been saying it for years, Canelo has never been a finisher. He has power and is clever so he can hurt people and knock them out but he's not a finisher and there is a big difference. I would argue that even young Canelo was never a finisher. There are plenty of fights that he won but went the distance because he wouldn't or couldn't push for the K.O. Old Mosley and Chavez Jr. both went the distance even though neither of them are particularly elusive guys.

Love that you changed your mind mid video Woog - shows how much you think about these fights. I think two factors you really are leaving out for Danny Garcia: - Hes 36. Yes Lara is 41... but DG is 36 with only one fight in the past 4 years. - DG is coming up to 160 (157 catchweight but still). That weight, paired with his age, is going to do a number on his speed. DG is not gonna be able to carry that pop up to this weight class, but more importantly: he won't be able to counter Lara fast enough due to the added weight. I think Lara takes this comfortably, and wouldn't be surprised if he even stops DG. Definitely not from a 1-shot because of DG's legendary chin, but I wouldn't be surprised if the ref jumps in.

This one should be a complete mismatch. Danny Garcia, in his prime, was painfully easy to hit and had poor footwork. He really hasn't done himself any favors either by being so inactive, having had only four fights the last five years. Erislandy should have no problem beating him Saturday--even at 40+ years of age. Danny gets busted up rather easily, and is no defensve genius. Lara by stoppage. As for hall-of-fame status, neither guy deserves it. Danny was on his way and had some big wins early, but has lost all his signature fights versus Keith Thurman, Shawn Porter, and Errol Spence Jr..

Congrats on your son. Woog! As for the fight Saturday, Canelo is about a 20-to-1 favorite according to one online sportsbook. Canelo will probably win. But remember, Canelo is 34 years of age and has lots of miles on his body--he's been fighting PROFESSIONALLY over half his life. His reflexes are just not what they were, and he did absorb some clean shots against Jaime Munguia. This fight reminds me of the Julio Cesar Chavez-Frankie Randall I fight back in 1994. Chavez was about the same age as Canelo and was a 15 or 20-to-1 favorite over "The Surgeon." And Chavez got old in one fight. It happens to all the greats and not-so-greats. Berlanga has all the physical advantages--he's taller, 7 years younger, and fresher. And he can punch. This one will be interesting if Edgar can survive the first 3 or 4 rounds....

I’m mainly disappointed that Berlanga cashed out instead of improving his technique and boxing abilities. I’m sure he’ll get a good payday and publicity, but I doubt he’ll have a stellar performance. I got Canelo winning by TKO.
